Well, to those that are sick of clear only weather, the challenge of weather is an interesting prospect. It does test your skills when that happens. However, I doubt I would support a game like that.

The highway runs are designed only to be down during a clear day as the cars themselves are highly strung and very very fragile. As you said, it's just a game but introducing Initial D conditions to a game that prides itself on clear runs, I don't think so.

I chose to null my vote because, I'm really just indifferent on this topic. Whether for Wangan to have rain or not is just too damn annoying to choose. Sure, more ID-like but then why would I bother playing ID if MT had rain. Then again, think of the poor cars trying to drive through C1 on 825 WITH rain. That would outrageously f**k them up bad. But it's a really stupid idea anyway.

The wet and slippery condition would be nice..
But the rain might be troublesome for the 1st person viewer like me..

I still choose wet though.. (but without the rain please biggrin.gif)

w/ the streets cracking all over

and tsunamis...ooooo weeeeee with waves of water just
going into your car and flooding out your engine

Rain would just be suicide. I mean think about it. Most cars hit 340KM/H on Wangan. Doing that in rain? Hell those annoying little bumps that slightly jolt your steering are the gutters on the highway, and chances are that would make you spin.

Because wangan midnight maximum tune is an exact model of real life racing...
I say bring it on, hell doing the touge in the rain is still a stupid idea. Yet it was in ID. People even told takumi it would be a suicide run, but he still did it... why? Because it's pure fiction, fiction is there so that we can have fun, and see/do stuff that we'd never have the chance to see/do in real life.

If somehow our opinion counts, wet courses would only be with ghost and cabinet battles. It throws an extra element for you to worry about besides your opponent(s) and traffic.
There would also be dynamic weather - meaning it could be raining lightly as you come up Yokohane, but once you reach C1 outward it's pouring (and so fourth).

Nah. That system while cool. wouldn't work in Wangan. IMO. If there was going to be rain in the game. It should only just be for athsethic looks. While playing a racing game that has dynamic weather is fun, it would be difficult to work into WMMT 3 IMO.

@Midnight Star: I know the difference. I do drive a real car. I mean. in WMMT 3 you can brake and turn at the same time and still lose speed effectively. Not to mention that my FD would most like be scrapped after every race when I hit a wall or go over a jump in the road. Not to mention Tyres, fuel, and all the other odds and ends. My car should be nothing but scrap, and I've barely driven over 5,000km.

A friend of mine was killed on aqua line driving in light rain from Daikoku BTW, a very good driver. So yes. There are people who drive like that in the rain. Either they are extremely confident or foolhardy.

Rain would just make things frustrating I think. More interesting would be dynamic traffic (like moves out of the way or merges more)

Rain would make the courses look very nice in the game
I mean
Like the roads would be wet
And the city lights and stuff would reflect off the road
And would probably make a really nice scenery

But that would also mean that the the rain would increase the slide on your car
And DG already feels like im driving on rain
DG C1 feels super wierd already X3

Initial D is already a stupid game ...
please dun try to introduce stupid weather condition to a clear cut game ...

if there is rain condition ...
then the next person will want ... turn the f**king steering wheel like ID
then the next asshole will want ... turn the car without losing speed pls
then the next bloody moron will want ... add a brake cancel pls ...
then the next bloody f**king asshole will want ... Akina instead of Hakone ...
then the next bloody f**king moronic asshole will want WHAT???

Rolls-Royce Trent 900 Engine???

I agree with Midnight about the fiction part...
But then again I still think that adding rain would be unnecessary...dangerous too I might add... fear2.gif
I mean think about it...we've seen alot of ppl imitating stuff they seen on the TV or things they did while playing a game...
Especially KIDS and whatnot...as stupid as that sounds some people just can't differentiate fact and fiction...
Fiction...You can drive at 340km/h in the rain
FACT --> you can NOT drive at 340km/h in the rain...both for safety reasons and the laws pf physics...
No car has reached 340km/h + in the rain and not totaled...not that I know of anyways...
But you get the point... tongue.gif

Psh, rain?
How about unsealed roads, or the whole wangan line ran when under construction?
Or snowing ~??
or snow and rain
or snon and rain and gravel?
or what if haneda tunnel suddenly brakes from right in the middle?

Sure, u might mind a challenge, because some of us may well be bored of the game....but how far will u go until u make this game either too exaggerated or just plain stupid (like fnf)?

Why is anyone thinking about wet and snow likes it's Initial D? THIS IS MT PEOPLE!

Okay think about this.

Your on the last stage to get your 825. 3km left and you're behind the Devil Z. The Blackbird theme comes on and it goes to a cut scene... METEOR SHOWER! Huge comets the width of the lane it's in cover the road. A comet blocks the Devil Z's path and you're on a clear lane. Being as gay as the game can be, the Devil Z runs into the comet and it jumps into your lane causing you to stop completely making you lose the race....

That would be interesting...

Or what I posted would just equal FAIL
