I'd suggest to not using gold for gold package. Use gold for special events, as they are only earned by completing objectives and level up (and tourneys, if you're very lucky).

5 normal crates (I mean crates which is bought for 20000 cash), however, is recommended in early stages though you can get 5 normal crates for free too each 10 minutes.

BRZ maxxed out at 608, my best bet will be do any jump races, they add rep and gold, especially the boss airborne races one.
