Still living with Legacy devices ("Legacy" here means: really old devices running on 512Mb and 1/2Ghz. Barely)
It makes me proud though, to be able to make these run on Kitkat. We're still working on Lollipop though, since a lot has changed.

Oh right, the devices:
-LG Optimus 3D [SU760]
-Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" [P1000]

Noep, I help with bug finding and being a guinea pig and what not stuart2.gif Also, optimizing. Because source code differences (same hardware, different software) The main guys are at XDA.

I am trying to learn though, but first, I need a Linux distro to work with (Working on Windows is a pain, you need a lot of virtual machine stuff just to get the building environment up, if I get it up though, I'm left with barely 500Mb of RAM dry.gif ).

I wanted to work within Android, but since it is a somewhat limited version of Linux, I can't.
Best I can do at the moment is modify boot images, making minute changes in it hmm.gif
Changes like...
-What memory block it loads
-What is Internal / External SD (I can make the system read the SD Card as the primary internal)
-Installing and running Android on External SDs (works on P1000s with dead Internal SDs)

Ah, no no no no sweatingbullets.gif
Android is just easy to tinker with sometimes thumbsup.gif
What makes it easy is XDA, since, that's where most of the work happens.
It's when they deal with the code itself that I can't follow stuart2.gif
If anything, messing with Android is like a hobby to me, something to do in my spare time happy.gif

...

I really want to learn more though, so that I can actually make my own builds / ports stuart2.gif
Like I said, all I can do right now is to test things out, post logs and find bugs, it's up to the developers to make things happen fear2.gif

This is what i'll probably do when i get to flash CM12 on my phone
XDA's pretty helpful too, figured out how to unlock the phone's bootloader after reading through it several times

Without XDA, Android wouldn't grow the way it is right now.

Speaking of Xperia, I'm in the process of getting one soon, but when looking for an Xperia, I can't look at the catalogue without getting flabbergasted by the wide variety of models. Recommend any models for me please? Looking for:

Size varies, but I'd like to see those large ones like the size of an iPhone 6 Plus.
Top line, not the cheap counterpart.
Anything with PlayStation goodness.

The rest can be decided once my choices are filtered down.

LG G4 tho.

WRX22B1998: Sony's real quiet this time.
Is it still japang exclusive?

---
Also replaced my D618's OS to CM12.1.
No memory leaks so far or at least haven't noticed

Thoughts on the Oneplus 2? I reckon it's an awesome phone but I reckon they should've changed the home button so u can actually press down on it.

Design looks 10/10 imo

Sony M2 [D2303], color purple stuart2.gif

I wanted black but, out of stock sweatingbullets.gif
But the color is really nice~, it goes well with the phone happy.gif

A wee bit limited on internal memory though, just 5GB out of 8 usable (OS and shiets cost almost 3GB apparently)

I'll have to wait a whole year before I can root this thing. Hmmmm~, nnnyyyyeeeeeeeeeessssssssssss shifty2.gif

Also have a Galaxy Ace 2 [GT-I8160], it's currently running on Lollipop turned.gif Feels nice to see that an old phone can still keep up with newer Android iterations happy.gif

i dont know how much u need to pay for your one plus, but mine was free a,s i know a friend that knows someone that help design it

i was in need a of a phone and he hooked up me up.........but i gave it back to my friend in less then 48hrs cuz phone don't work for my network, no point in having a phone that cant make calls

1 thing I can say for sure that it is very innovative customer service where you book a time online and they schedule you for remote service if you have problems with your phones

but sadly i can only use the word innovative to describe it

online tech booking takes forever as u might have to wait for months to get u in

once u get a time slot, u pray to god its tech and not some random support division where they only know basics, if not then back to rebooking again

if all else fails, u can sent the phone back and they ship u a new one...............u have to wait for about a month to receive it

cant really use any other word to describe their 24 online tech service besides innovative
