Just wondering..
MOST OF THE TIME, do you have both hands on the wheel, then take one off to change gear, or do you have one hand on the wheel and one on the gear stick..

Personally, i use the 1 handed option .. just used to it tbh

not a pointless thread, its to compare techniques kinda rolleyes.gif

My case is different:

One hand
-Battling against computer ghosts (up to level 10)
-Outrun mode (including 31-outrun specials)
-Battling against human players (that are not higher than B class)

Two hands
-If battling A class people and above
-Human ghosts (higher than B Class)
-Human outrun battles (above B class rank)

KAMI!

I usually use two hands. However, my arms get tired very easily, probably lack of exercise causing this so sometimes I have to drop my hands down to the 4 and 8 position on semi straight roads and stuff. I tried driving one hand, damn was it hard. Maybe I'll try that for most, if not all 80 chapters once I redo story mode.

dude what kind of question is this? its pretty simple. if you are trying why would you not use 2 hands? unless you are super great with 1 hand, and if you are super great with 1 hand please show me a fast time attack with 1 hand except for wangan line and even for wangan line you need 2 hands to keep the car really straight when your going 330km+

even if its normal driving for a real car. its a bad habit your car. if you resting your hand on the tranny while its in gear it wears down the tranny.

any average player would use 2 hands on almost every, if not every course, time, place (unless of course, you're messing around).

i'm using 1 hand on the wheel, and 1 on the gear shift. i've tried to use both hands on the wheel, but the car was out of control (i did a lot of oversteer), so i return to my old "style"...

This thread exists, I just can't find it.

Because I remember saying that people who drive with one hand watch too many movies.

Honestly, you get zero leverage or mobility with one hand, driving with one hand gives absolutely no advantage whatsoever.

Please lock this, this question has no point.

I drive 1 handed unless on hakone. MT3 really doesn't need massive wheel movements like idas3 or 4, so 1 handed is fine for me. I get plenty of balance with one hand. I find myself oversteering on corners if I use 2. Just because you play with 1 hand doesn't mean you're any less of a player really.

whenever i see polls like this there's never a "both" option,
'tis a shame

but you know what takes real skill...
using manual 2 hands on steering wheel at all times and shifting with left or right foot respectivly with the other foot working both gas and break, now this i'd like to see. laugh.gif
