So I was at work and I was like, "Oh that's right, they blocked IDW but not WME. I guess I'll check WME. So I type in the address, and a block page comes up. Darn. But then I notice the reason they blocked it. I couldn't stop laughing; my co-workers probably thought I was crazy.
 So where's all the sex at!? Fill a brotha in would'ja!? Don't leave me hangin'! If there's a party let me know! |

OMG..... maybe they find the direction in your computer and block it...... LOL
I have the same problems now in the university, But I "cover" it, by boot in Linux that I put it on a second HDD.... and works fine. |

Booting up with a flash drive or other media would merely bypass the locks on the computers that prevent you from doing program-based operations. All network operations go through the corporate VPN, even those on our free WiFi service (like the display computers). Therefore, anything communicating with our network runs through the VPN... which runs through the filter. You can't bypass that at the store level. |

Huh. I wouldn't think that the filter would go that deep into things. It also doesn't explain why it blocked this as sex:
 Which I posted on IDW a while back. You can't find any sex from that. |

even the pages that open pages? I believe I used it before, but I don't remember it now. There is a page that opens normal in your web browser, and with that you can open other pages, eliminating pop-ups, and other extras..... Let me do a little search to see if I can find it. |

It's called a Proxy Site. If you go to a proxy site, the block page comes up and says that the page was blocked due to "Proxy Service." |

never underestimate the power of the IIS hehehe, used to do that with my customer... all sites not approved by the management are in the filter list.... and i keep records on which pc is trying to access those sites... unfortunately they all went against it due to some "technical issues" and did not pay my services.... and they are still wallowing in their spyware-virus-trojan infested network...

Why don't we make a forum catagory called Website Spoofs? I know that there arn't a lot of this stuff but the forum said that this is a "hello to the community"... I guess admins are exceptional.
