that is the #1 reason i thought about joining the military. dont be suprised if japan is different than you think. my friend lived in japan for 8 months or so and he said he would never live there again.

I dont think that i would feel that way if i went there but who knows.

anyway good luck and take lots of pics for us peoples who are stuck not in japan.

see the issue with all places is YOU have to make it what it is.. if you sit around all non social and scared of things any place will suck

i have about 7 buddies who all have had boots on ground there for atleast 5 years or so..

they know all the local hangouts... car places in all.. ill feel right at home.. drift track is not far from base either.. its no doubt that ill have fun man..

my primary mission is to do my job in the military and my secondary mission is to make and establish contacts just as i have done all over this nation.

i can travel all over japan by the way

22 days, or basically 3 weeks. Though when one says the latter it sounds too short XD. But O_O wow...4-8 years...yeah you're gonna know the place like the back of your hand.

I would also recommend catching a D1GP event, going to NISMOFest at Fuji Speedway and the Tokyo auto show.

For non-car events there's climbing Fuji, Sapporo winterfest, go to the Sanno in Tokyo for a couple of nights to see Tokyo, hop to Osan and shop, hop to Okinawa and dive, lots to do in Japan and being in the military is a great way to do it.

i

you mean hipertekspeed.net

yea i been on there for about 2 years now... good guys...

im a vehicle operator in the AF pretty much a pro driver with lic to drive any thing with wheels

dude because im a real guy and live in a real world... don't join service to pay for college dude its such bullshit.. i mean the GI bill is there and you can take courses.. but uhm you will be let down. yes education is being pushed more among the enlisted ranks and you need it to go very high as far as rank is concerned.

you join the service to do the mission everything else comes second and third that means education, family and your little new puppy you just got etc. for the record the AF is not the same we, deploy now alot bro. Im in Iraq right now doing a dangerous mission along side the army and marines and ill be back about 2-3 times in the next 2-3 years.

i can speak from both sides.. military and college.. i have done both. college it self is nothing but a business and personally its bullshit also. yea im a little bitter because i didn't finish and left a football career behind and University of Maryland. but if i would have done it over, i would have just went to IT school.

ps

ill be doing much more racing then watching lol.. I am not much of a spectator lol
