PSP ftw, stock they are decent. But, mod them and you can basically do anything you want. I've seen some crazy PSPs that can play almost anything with emulators, movies, music, it's crazy the amount of stuff you can do easily.

Only downside compared to the DS, oh you don't get a touchscreen...who cares?!

Umm curious... How are you running Devhook, UMDEmu, and other apps on a 3.50? Are you running the official firmware or are you running custom firmware? Besides, those apps are no longer needed to use to play your games. Care to explain and more details on your PSP?

Yeah. I don't use UMD Emulator nemore, but I just keep it hanging around on my PSP without any thing on it. I started using DevHook when I learned to put .ISOs on PSPs on YouTube.xD. Heh, a weerd place to learn. Yes, my firmware is custom, not official.

I'm a PSP customizer...... wink2.gif or hacker or however you want to name it.

I create:

Gameboots
Cintros
coldboot video/sound
Complete PSP themes ( I have two FULLY themes (Naruto and Bleach)
The chosen knight's XMB Themes *Im Mime in the other forum*:

XMB Waves
Coldboot Waves
redirect rcos to mem stick as well as gameboots etc.

For my own use I created a Wangan Midnight ps3 (gameboot and Citnro) If anyone wants it let me know.... Theres NONE out but mine.

If you all need help with anything let me know.. I run 3.40 OE-A. Latest firmwares are not that great.

I could actually use some suggestions here for my psp.

It's been downgraded for quite some time (3.03 OE-C, I know..I need to upgrade) and I've been looking for solid emulators for it, but there are so many options that I can't choose.

Anyone have any suggestions for good NES/SNES emulators, or general apps and stuff that could be useful too? Any tweaks for those programs to make them run better (if any) would be appreciated too, I have fps issues with snes9x.

A link to the latest custom firmware would be great too.

3.03 custom or official?

if it is official, check by upgrading the version, or check what version the game have.... if it says a number, more than your official version, you need to upgrade.

I think is custom....

Try to get some tutorials on the internet than can help you to change versions...
Can you tell me the version of it? (On system settings - system information)

>< i need to do pandora's battery to get custom firmware but i'm too scared to do it. i'm afraid i'll brick my new psp. I'll get the guy at the asian markets to put custom firmware on my psp. He's chipped all my consoles and my friends consoles so far and he flashes about a dozen psps a day. Now i just need to find a job to pay for it ><

i just bought a psp lite and it looks cool... where can i get CSO games? and how do i modify the themes/wallpapers?

btw you can liken the PSP to a car, specifically the import tuner.... it is the only handheld i know that you can practically do anything with it...

I've had my PSP for 2 years now.

A while back I tried to do the UFighterX PSP D-pad mod on the piece of crap that is my D-pad, but couldn't remove the screws. >_<

I've yet to hack it though. Too lazy, and worried that I'll turn my PlayStation Portable into a BrickStation Portable.

I have for my PSP:
- Castlevania: DXC
- DJMAX Portable
- DJMAX Portable 2
- Gradius Collection (made useless by said D-pad and tricky analog stick! T.T)
- Every Extend Extra
- Lumines 2
- Ridge Racer
