142mph in the MA70, let off because I was getting nervous. Goal is 190mph for that car.
135mph in the Miata topped it out wouldnt go any faster.

The NB can manage 135 stock? That's impressive.

top of 5th screaming like a banshee. It took forever to get there though. She was crawling past 100mph, and what amazed me was how stable it felt, I mean yeah the wind noise was fierce but still firm and solid.

That's a Mazda for you wink2.gif

But no really, the Miata has the same design double wishbone in the front/multi-link in the rear utilizing a power plant frame as the FD3S, just scaled down (or the Miata's was scaled up for the FD3S). I can image it feels great, I feel confident enough to drive my FD3S with one hand on the wheel in the 300kmh territory, I love how stable these cars are.

Yeah thats probably true, Im sure Mazda borrowed engineering from both cars. I mean the NB Miata looks like it took some styling cues from the FD. The only complaint which really isnt a complaint is how jittery the car is even on smooth road. Im no suspension engineer it feels like its over damped at low speeds. Again Im no engineer I am sure they (Mazda or Bilstein) had a reason for doing so.

Here is an FD3S sans body:

And an NB Miata sans body:

Even the subframes look alike for being much different body types! ^.^

You're hard to see anything in detail...

Yeah I've got nothing for comebacks tonight.

Tried to do a run in the Supra tonight, Im too scared. The blown FR shock is making things interesting past 100. One day....one day...

Yeah, I'm not fond of pushing cars with mechanical problems. Probably the best choice.

Haha. Maybe a little less glamorous? I did it on country roads. It still had more. I'd like to turn the boost up and try again, but unfortunately I sold the car.

QUOTE (MaikazeFD3S @ Feb 8 2016, 09:09 AM)
Let's see, both my bests are in FD3S RX7s.

My first Innocent Blue FD3S saw 191mph/307kmh, and it would have went faster but a side seal on the rear rotor let out at that speed. My second and current Brilliant Black FD3S has seen 177mph/284kmh. Both cars were being built for very different things, though my current black car will be making much more power, it will probably still have a lower top speed. It can't be helped.

My scariest experience would be my SW20 MR2 at 171mph/275kmh, that car is extremely unstable at high speeds due to aerodynamic design at the nose.

The FD3S I feel comfortable holding the wheel with one hand even at speed, very balanced and stable.

Holy sheet did you port your FD's??

200 km/h in my Old 1989 Cefiro back when I was with college.

Me and a buddy of mine in his CP Lancer played tag on our way home.
