QUOTE (Midnight Star @ Today at 12:06 AM)
I found shutoku battle zone of control with a quick google search that lead me to a megaupload page. I got no clue what I'm running. I think it's 1.5 kernel since I don't have to use any programs to open up the games. Just load em straight off the memstick. I'm using the 3.80m33 firmware I think. It's pretty strange and makes the game really unenjoyable.

...that megaupload lonk is dead right now ermm2.gif

For you're PSP, maybe you have to change some settings. Did you make sure they installed the kernel 1.50 as a add-on?
Turn off completely the PSP and turn it on pressing the R button all time until some red and white letters pop-up (M33 Recovery Menu)
-go to configuration
--check that the Game folder homebrew is 1.50
-- Change the UMD mode (if it says standard) to M33 driver --NO UMD--

If problem persists just upgrade to 3.90M33
so far I like it, since I got no more errors in it.
But before you upgrade it, find the requirements that the file needs and the 1.50 kernel add-on for 3.90M33, and you are ready to upgrade).

(if you don't have a computer available, I believe you can upgrade it using the network :cough: Upgrade)

Boosts the sound of the psp? well I don't believe the standard speakers can handle any higher volume. I've seen some hardware modifications where the original speakers have been removed for better quality ones, but I doubt you want to open up the psp and solder some new speakers on.

Also, @ suv_drift

Thanks for those directions, I just changed my game folder homebrew to 1.50 and my umd mode to no umd. Those instructions were pretty clear. Thanks again.

for the speakers.... well..... I don't know any program to boost the sound.
Although, the PSP speakers sound very good, I don't recommend replace them, but too much volume can damage it.

I recommend to use headphones when you're out (in a noisy place).

Been whoring out my PSP to play Castlevania: SotN (via Dracula X Chronicles).

The crappy part is, it's easy to hit the wrong direction with the analog nub, and casting spells is hell on my thumb with the D-pad, and I have to go to the options menu to switch between D-pad and analog. =/

I have the ISO for crisis core already. It's not that good in my oppinion. More square selling the FF7 cash cow... If you want a good PSP RPG go for Brave Story - New Traveler. I played it and it's fantastic. Graphics are briliant!

well...network update is available on 3.80M33 and up.

@touge_ninja You can find the files on Dark_Alex website (or a quick search on google)
Files needed. (To 3.90M33) The 3.90M33 files, 3.90 original by sony (or the program prompt to download it). And the 1.50 kernel add-on (with the 1.50 original sony version in the root of your memory stick).

Hope it works..... and before do anything to it. Back-up. happy.gif
