Foreword: I've decided to compile all of my plot that I've built upon, from my life experience since 2008 until now, a project that grew with me, filled with a journeyful of wonderful and painful encounters with all my friends, rivals, and basically, it was a life of mine. But it's time I really put an end to my series, personally. Since I never finished the project despite having over 50 word files.
This is a very big TL:DR but it's only important to you all if you cared to read it. I lack writing skills, but I try to make it an impactful, emotional and even life-splice journey. Life in the fastlane, in the highways of MT in the arcade, everything I've experienced, reflected in the story in multitudes of themes, differing and also similarly related to each different new saga/ sequel and seasons.
It's meant to be philosphical, but its also my take on viewpoints of life. Basically, the entires series was/is my life, So let's begin...
Racer on a Desire: (2008) Mastering the Legendary Speed.
SPOILER
When I started MT, I was learning, I thought I could be the best, like everyone would. I was proven wrong when I've faced multiple challenges and advesaries within myself, not just the unlimited amount of opponents that has beaten me. All the rage was directed to myself into an optimistic form, immaturely the story was about a calm, nice, but overconfident racer named Kensuke Kingsley. (Kenzz).
The story was rewritten many times each year, moreso expanded into darker territory. Plot: Kenzz was just a newly started Hashiriya, a native Japanese Z32 rider, he lost every battle and he has no hope of winning, despite deemed as a loser, he wouldn't give up, eventually over time, he defeated everyone and became known as great as one of the Kings of Tokyo. But it was a progressing building block learning journey filled with learning technical things and facing adversity, within himself, his impatience and his lack of self-respectful behaviour. Much so with his inability to calculate, he was more of an instinctual racer, all the way until the end until he decided to man up, and start thinking for once because of his only true rival Juou made him realize that Ramming and Aggressive play is the next step to survive in MT. Because Kenzz was never a rammer until 2010 IRL. (Based on a former rival and mate I know in Sydney) The plot here ends when he meets and faces off Jintei (from Tokyo Xtreme Racer) keeping up with a 825hp (from 3DX) using 740hp and just barely behind him, but enough to catch up which everyone was surprised, a feat that no one could catch up to him, only Kenzz could. Jintei later cryptically remarked that (Kenzz) carried some form of power and X factor. Something that the best racers/ if not term: Chosen Racers carry. A sort of Gift. But what was it? Regardless, the ending is a tragic one, I wanted to make some gangsters/bullies blow up his Z32 OR the Z32 engine blew after that race. In which Jintei, who won the money match, gifts Kenzz the money. Since the years went by in this story, about 2-4. It was about time the Z34 was just released. Kenzz decided to step up in his movement game and purchases the Z34, promising Jintei he will come back, one day, stronger, better and ever, and more harderned. Kenzz eventually takes the time after this story to adapt to his Z34, which will become his main car for the entirety of the series and sequels. But the story was a positive one regardless of all the negative, but if only.
ROADS II - Successor of Legendary Speed
SPOILER
A couple of years later (in my original drafts) a new generation began, inspired by the plot of Tokyo Drift and NFS: Most wanted. I made a story about a KPGC10 hashyira named: Kenneth Knightly. (He's the other side of me, the one I wanted to be). A cool, calm collected, and serious person, prone to anger but acts on it, than being passive. He wasn't a school drop out like Kenzz, but he started his journey with a more painful backstory. His father was his idol, eventually his father died by a conspiracy, well more seemed to be killed off in a sanctioned race. (On Track or Steet). [Complicated Murder Plan] He wants to find out, who are these people, and why did they kill his father? It was a long wait to exact revenge, and by that, he started throwing away his future and career to be a full time, vigilante detective and get inside the street racing scene in Tokyo. And raise the ranks and eventually find those responsible and kill them, and their familes in cold blood.
That was teh biggest spoiler, because he was introduced as angry, and emotionally prone but out-exterior strong but smartass/cocky attitude- type of guy, but he wasn't. He was pretending to be 'normal' he was living a life of facade, hiding the (Joker/Psycho type of batman theme) within him. Outside, he's Batman, Inside he's Joker. So his journey begins by racing, like a no-name person. Getting wins, off the rader. Until he joins one event in the parking lot (cue Tokyo Drift Inspired scene here) and loses to one of the weakest punks of a Team/Gang. His intention? Raise his name to be known, get to know these guys, beat them, outrace them.
He was defeated so badly he eventually honed his skills being trained by multiple people ONLY AFTER he beaten them by instinct alone, but he was subconciouslly calculating them all. Later at a point he encounters an mid 20s Kenzz. Who teaches him the meaning of patience and talking about life. They remarked that they should be friends, and that Kenzz (at this point, already was aware the extent of his Racing Powers: [Will explain later]) mentioned that Knightly, possesses an X factor, but he can control it. Moreso, bluntly put? "Knightly, have you ever felt like you've seen your races and see and predict what's ahead but assumed its just nothing? No, that is a power you have." Knightly takes this in literally, eventually, he realizes he also has the "Eyes" (much like SEED mode in GUNDAM) but the difference is ofc. He visualize the optimum lines, predict the opponent's actiosn and take advantage of everything. But he knew, he had to overcome his fear of irrationality, and most importantly, mastering the KPGC10. In time he defeated every rival, every opponent, and went through an undefeated win streak and conquering every opponent, team and gang. Gained respect and hatred from some. Until Juou arrived, one of the head leaders of a certain team. By drama alone, and events that lead to it, made the final battle. Down Hakone. (Exactly like Tokyo Drift's final battle) But the ending is of course, Knightly loses by a few meters. He accepted humility and futility that in winning, this race will cost him his life. He let them berate him and he left offering a handshake to his rival, he walks away like a man as people seen it to be. BUt really? Inside was growing a monster. (As he was already turning into a monster, to end all monsters).
He found who were behind the murder of his father and he eventually confronts the family involved. Off-screen, we do not know if he killed them, but we will assume so. Ironically, and dark humourously, they didn't mean to kill him, they were paid to by a bigger dangerous person. That man's name is not spoken lightly, but he was also a racer, but he has been away for some time. "Who is this man? Byakko Tsuhara." In an extra ending, his love interest was revealed to be an insider of some gang and he knew it all along but the pain was too real, she eventually really fell for him, but he killed her in cold blood. Even so as a street racer herself, he literally rammed her off the edge and become a wanted man, and so begun the dark sinking depths of the creation of the fallen Knight unto the Kaiser. (unfortunately, she wasn't based on a real person but the next story will be based on a high school crush)
ROADS IV: Crowns of Fortuna
SPOILER
Skipping ROADS 3: (It's a prologue of Byakko's origins and who he is) we have Hazama Siegfrired, the latest, recent and current FUTURE heir of the legacy of ROADS.
An R34 Racer, a son of one of the yakuza/gangster heads/group that was banished and exiled. He is the more bad ass, more darker, more gritty edition of Kenzz and Hazama. But he has the "cool" factor (based on Jin Kazama). His backstory is a high school drop out due to violence and crime related things, not on his end but corruption in high school. He has a love interest that was unrequited. but she was relentlessly ruthless. Whatever happened to him to make him so angry, so injustified he was willing to start a big psychological and real threat to teh racing society? It was a big cat and mouse game.
Each one was a cat and mouse to each other. But the story was really cool/angry/angsty based.
This kid was just literally spoilt, he has the money, but he never knew his father because he's AFK in the storyline. But he was treated like a prince, and he was known to be connected (duh). And people honestly didn't give any shits about him until he started drama.
Hazama somehow has a knack for surviving crashes multiple times until he awakens his "Eyes" just like the Chosen.
He eventually meets the Kaiser, saving Hazama's life when he was finally being targeted by some fellowers of Orohime (The Queen of Tokyo) THe Oni Z. A Black Carbon S30Z. The main antagonist of the story. Kaiser ruthlessly kills them passively, sending them to their own deaths and Hazama at first sight, experiences real death. Shocking him and shaken, he realizes this game has become more real than he was already prepared for.
Kaiser was already a broken man, but he wanted Hazama to not have a future like him. But he trains Hazama to survive otherwise, coaching him, advising him that such a path will only bring destruction, and himself alone alreaedy is such a person. Hazama would not stop at nothing for his cat and mouse revenge game against the 'conspiracy' / corruption of multiple factions of street racing in tokyo. He intends to take them all on himself even through death. So he can reach her and battle her and destroy her.
Kaiser decides to follow along, finding this game amusing, but he was already obviously hiding another agenda that Hazama did not know about. Much things happened, and Hazama finally got that battle against her. This game got too far, it already reached her psyche. He races her, and within this final battle Orohime Otome, decided.. "I'm done with this game." and stops racing despite being ahead of the race, Hazama already for the first time pressuring her and able to pass her. He foresees and feels her thoughts as the power he had, as he as well had Kenzz and Kaiser's power, but he was of a newer generation which had mroe potential but (w/e) This is where I diverged two plotlines; Orohime Self Crashes intentionally at the C1 Divider and end her life. Leading her and him to share a special moment in a differnt metaphorical/dream world and spoke things to each other to find peace and understanding. They both apologize but Hazama pleaded her not to go as she dies in his hands and that she remarked, despite not loving him or liking him anymore, she still sees him as someone important to her, and that she was only being a villain, to make him move on, but instead he kept going to reach for her instead of what she wanted him to do. Which in where, Kaiser shows up and tells him to leave, coz cops were coming and Hazama leaves in tears. He becomes a wanted man as well, because obviously everyone assumed he rammed her to the divider.
Oh hold on, the diverging plot? Instead of her self-rekting herself, Kaiser appears outta nowhere and does it himself, revealing to Hazama that he intends ot destroy all of racing society. Revealing his darker/truer colors; a man craving destruction and death, inviting it. Regardless, Kaiser and Hazama fell out of friendship. But Hazama still did not know that Kenzz was already behind most of the conspiracy. He made his apprearance as a late 20s man and too, advised Hazama on skills as a mysterious person as a cameo let alone knew that Kaiser was working under Kenzz.
ROADSV : When Shet gets real.
SPOILER
Hazama was a broken man, he lost everything, but he never gave up, he kept racing, even so being the "Successor of ROADS" he didn't want to be any of that. He already maybe the best racer in the entire plotline against all other heroes and characters but he becomes from a villain to tragic hero to an legit silent badass with a black R34 this time. Kaiser? Already a motherfocken badass.
The story comes back to Kenzz as he reveals himself and eventually starting a big drama which leads to guns, death, pain and drama.
Kenzz already became depressive and angry, but he kept it under wraps, he was more silent and more of a person who "attacks the mind" of his opponents, he basically lost his humanity per se. Just racing meaninglessly and hating and denying reality for what it is. So he seeks destruction. But why did he become such a person? (I swear Initial D's RIn Hojo just had to be coincidental goddam it)
He loved someone dearly, but it was also unrequited. But whatever happened to him sure pissed him off to start war on a scale much worse which was reflected in real life. He was already at the level of being known by all of Tokyo and around the world. derp derp.
So Hazama, having nothing to do with the plot anymore, dissapeared off the radar. Kaiser ends up dead, in one of the battles against newgens that were better than him, he couldn't deal with it and ends up killing himself, despite breaking the C1 record. This was damage to Kenzz, he lost 2 of his puppets and just literally went Joker Mode Insane and just legit confronted / got cornered the bad guys* of the story, according to him, which may or not be true.
But really, the truth to the matter is, society was so abusive, combined with paranoia and obsession, turned and shaped Kenzz into this monster that society hates/fears/disgusts at. It reached to the point that he had to be killed. So yes, at the climax, Kenzz was gunned down in cold and possibly reggrettible blood. Ending the story at that? Definitely. Because Society shaped Kenzz, and by that he became the villain, and the best villain is one that is not made by just greed but by choice, an unfortunate upbringing to lead such a benevolent soul onto a grim manevolent desire.
So the series has become really dark and depressive, so negative it was just really offputting. So i never wrote it entirely because I just couldn't deal with the pain in real life just as much. Because it has affected me and the people around me. In fact I almost lost my sense of reality.
Because what started as an original emotional journey became an addiction of negativity. It still became philosphical but it became so dark, it just wasn't positive or even optimistic in life anymore.
To everyone, I thank you all you have been with me in life, and influenced me to write this story since 2008/9 to now, but it has became a dark journey in which I stopped writing.
For my better health and recovery. It's time to put an end to the dark side of myself and my ROADS project. This is the End of ROADS.
