Errrr... Spec S was available through Nissan dealers mate lol and I've seen many wannabe Spec Rs floating around hehehe wink2.gif Oh I know the handling of the S15, if your good with it, its every bit as entertaining as a grip machine as the S2000 is but it loves having the tail wiggling so it seems rude not to leave it out there smoking away hehehe. Aus Spec 200SX is watered down though, probably due to the lack of good fuel and different turbocharger and engine tuning wink2.gif

Not having a go at ya mate, just saying keep an open mind about all cars smile.gif If you appreciate all cars for what they are, you'll find it very enjoyable talking to owners of any car smile.gif

No what I'm telling you is that here in AUSTRALIA the only difference between Spec S and R is a sunroof and 6 stack cd player, other then that they are exactly the same, and for the whole turbo thing it doesn't matter to me because I have an aftermarket turbo fitted wink2.gif

I drive an '94 Astro. It's not a fast car, but the last guy who last owned it worked at a body shop so it doesn't have a standard instrument panel for an astro. It's white and black. It has a Bugflector II in front of it so it looks aero-tuned. The acceleration is good though.

At lease I have an AWD.

I drive a 1986 300ZX Turbo I call Ivory also got a 1987 300ZX Turbo as my parts car currently getting ready to pull the motor and rip the suspension components out and the brake system. I've got a Polyurethane Bushings kit I'm gonna install once I buy some MAPP to burn my old bushings out from the control arms and tie-rods, Also taking the LSD unit from the 87, pulling the motor to build it up, and the brakes have double piston caliper on the 87 which I'm gonna put on my Z. Umm aside from that come this tuesday I'm gonna order my downpipe online maybe a week later I'm getting my muffler and if I got enough my off-road pipe or maybe high flow cat, umm after that a resonater and then I'm gonna pick up the mandrel kit by the way this is all 3 in. Umm after that I'm ordering my bilstein struts and my suspension will be complete I already got some eibach springs oh yeah and I got a turbo excess manual boost controller it's up to 10 psi now I'll up it to 13 sometime when I get bored enough

I drive a 04 WRX. Gotta love the boxer note.

Has the usual scooby driver mods. GFB Stealth BOV, 3inch TBE, GFB pulley kit, Tein springs, STI fog covers, KNN air filter and Apex-i gauges (boost and exhaust temp).

Planning to get a larger turbo (VF34) and new rims, or wait for the 08STI.

I drive a few rides.

all mitsubishi at the moment well, sorta.

This has been my daily, but I just took the car down yesterday for a mpi megasquirt conversion. It's a 1988 conquest aka starion It was pretty when I bought it, but lets face it, things are gonna happen eventually when you drive to have fun...
So this happened.. I tried to drive off, but I broke the 2 tierods going from my center link to the strut. Luckily I had a good friend who came and picked me up before it got dark. even luckier, I had a entire front steering linkage that was brand new in box for my 1jz car, but wait, it gets better, I passed a sheriff 5 minutes after I got the car fixed anc started driving back down the road. No tickets for me smile.gif

But alas, after a new airdam and a 5 speed conversion the car looks like this again smile.gif

Next would be my never ending engine swap, and the first starion ever owned. 1986 conquest with a toyota 1jzgte swap in it, running off a haltech e11v2, and currently turboless. I saw marks post on his holset setup and decided to just go with a holset. I'm still working on my twin td05h 14b mitsu turbo setup on the side though smile.gif I'm hoping to get it going before new years.

The last pic I took of the car, last year while I was wiring up the haltech.

Here is my new toy, the mitsubishi bang bus. I love it, its rwd, has a 4g64 in it, and slides good in the rain. Mitsubishi put massive sway bars on it. It's currently my daily, and plastered with anime figures and stupid japanese stuff smile.gif

Probably my favorite cheap driver car. I got this out of a junk yard for 150 bucks, managed to source a good junkyard engine for 125, and basically drifted and daily drover it for over a year for under 500.

Another car I got rid of lately, that I regret now. 1981 toyota starlet. Slow as hell, but funner than shit. 1700lbs and rwd? When its wet out you can drift one of these open diff like no other.
We had some snow last year so I took it out with studs on the rear and had a WHOLE lot of fun smile.gif

A little hard parking after a wet rainy night of fun with some friends.

I just picked up a 1988 mr2 the other day, but I have no plans on keeping it. Fixing it and selling. to fund my 1jz swap.

I have 2 other big projects I want to do. One is a 1971 dodge colt, aka mitsubishi colt galant 2 door. The other is a devil z smile.gif

QUOTE (280z @ Sep 24 2007, 10:03 AM)
And thats why i dont like convertibles.

Word, I just survived a crash at 110mph 23 miles outside of vegas a month and a half ago. My bro decided to see if the car could do 110, right at 110 the left rear tire seperated, and the rear end started coming around. We slid backwards off the highway and rolled as we were going down the embankment and slid on the roof for quite a ways. The emergency workers couldnt believe we walked away with no injuries. I cut my hand while crawling out of the car from broken glass, and I got a small bump on the head but that was it. Hell of a ride, once we flipped, there was so much dirt and rock coming through my side that I couldnt see a damn thing, and just had a shower of dirt and rocks hitting me.

I also got damn lucky though as the car slid on its roof instead of rolling.

Can see some pics I took below..

Nice starions you got there! i like those cars, especially the 2,6l with the wider fenders, even though the EDM 2.6l version had less HP than the EDM 2l starion, 155 instead of 170, from the old 2l 4g63, as far as i know, there is not that much of a difference in terms of acceleration between them because the 2,6l had more torque.

Okay, I have some questions for the Silvias/SX's:

On the 240SX/S14: When you put in the right aero kit in (i.e. For forza motorsport's West Wing(I think) and BOMEX, etc. for the S14's/240SX's)), why does it ALMOST looks similar to a R32, I know that they're both Nissans, but these cars look closely alike than other Nissans... that's the ONLY thing from Nissan that's bothering me.
Did they wanted to make the S14's chassis look similar to a R32 or what?

And why doesn't the '98 200SX look like the other SX's? My aunt had one since high school, back in the late '90's, and I didn't notice it since 30 months ago...

Just a noob question...

Just a noob question...

the reason why the S14 looks like the r32 (i think the r33 has even more reassamblence) is because it was the family look of nissan cars at that time and many other japanese cars are looking similar to that, for example the toyota previa eventhough its a van the frontlight and grill design is looking very similar to the s14 and the JDM integra is looking very similar too

here is what i know about the 200sx 180sx 240sx and silvia models(i cant give a guarntee that those informations are entirely correct):

200sx In the USA:
first it was the S12 that was the first time nissan used the name 200sx as far as i know(and i think it was only an option package for the silvia turbo with the ca18et).
Than it became that small FF car you are probably reffering to, i dont even want to know which base chassis its got grin2.gif

200SX in europe:
first it was the RS13/CA18DET (there was no S13, PS13 or RPS13 model available in europe, the P stands for the SR20).
than came the S14 and the S14a which are almost the same as the silvia K spec models but with a different longer gear ratio as far as i know and some option parts not available (especially aero parts), they were longer available than the 240 s14´s(and as far as i know also longer than on the japanese market). and the EDM models all had 5lug hubs and a diff oil cooler stock.

Im not sure about the australian models so i wont say anything about them all i know is that their S15 was also called 200sx

240SX, i dont really know why they fitted the KA24 into it and i dont want to know all i know is that im glad they didnt do that in europe grin2.gif :
all rs13 and s13 chassis were available but they all only have the RS13 frontend(also called onevia)
S14, S14a the first ones had only 4lug wheelhubs

S chassis in japan:
S13 Silvia available with 4 different engines CA18DE CA18DET SR20DE and SR20DET
RS13 180SX also available with the 4 engines and a lot longer than anywhere else.
Sileighty: the Sileighty started as a trend, because the silvia front is cheaper than the front of the 180SX so people who crashed into the guardrail or other things boght that one instead at some point it became cool and people switched it even if there was nothing wrong with their car, than nissan became aware of that trend it produced a limited number of sileightys.(well thats what ive raed so far)
S14 and S14a Silvia available with 2 engines SR20DE and SR20DET and alot of optional parts, especially aero parts.

the reasons for the names Onevia and sileighty are pretty easily explained: because the onevia has the frontend of the ONEeightySX and the rest from the silVIA and its the same with the sileighty grin2.gif

I don't currently own or drive a car....i'm a late bloomer for that matter pinch2.gif but I guess there's a reason behind that. I used to want the ITR but my true desire is with the NSX. Now they're amazingly cheaper than b4 but still very expensive. I'm really stubborn and won't settle for less which is a bad thing and I'm trying to work my way to get that sexy beast. Its really an under rated car and almost nobody knows about it...in fact its soo rare here in Canada it makes me want it even more just to be different along with having one of the greatest cars of its time. I have no idea what insurance will cost and i'm not expecting cheap bills...i was nagged about it and how it was gonna be like buying a second house whistling.gif oh well...nothing comes free in this world! I guess if you really want something you'd go for it.
