Isnt it funny how all problems are fixed with a simple cheap fixes.

Maybe for you, my problems dont turn out to be so cheap.

cleaned up the engine bay a bit today getting ready for TX2K9 Supra Nationals

Even though that engine bay is WAY busier and more cluttered than mine, it sure looks worlds better. I think if I bring this Z to a show anytime soon I'm just going to leave the hood closed, and use the "its stuck" excuse.

Its not so bad you get used to it after a while. Pic update used some products suggested by BmwNeoType thanks a lot bro it really helped out.



Alls left to do now is degrease the intake manifold and shes done in the bay, next ill focus on the exterior and lastly the interior.

no he changed his mind but im glad its over that means i can focus more attention on mine now which means more updates

After the block gets machined itll be assembly time.

Update i figured out what im going to do for fuel.

I'll take a good look at what I'll need after school/work today, I dont want to be cutting it close with the 550cc injectors, I want room for safety reasons.

Not to be a nitpicking bastard, but why does every Supra guy insist on leaving the timing belt cover off?

Its just a couple sprockets... sprockets that can get FODed out. I actually saw an interesting solution in a mag the other day, clear timing belt covers. I don't know how long they would last until they got cloudy and fogged up though...

I have your answer most of have pulled the head at some paint for one reason or another when we put it back we leave it off to time the car at least on 7m's. Well in order to put it back on and im not joking the thermostart cover has to come off. So its a matter of laziness to put it back on, i hate dripping coolant but oh well. I plan to buy a clear timing cover you wait and see youll want one too

lol stop being a whore then embrace yourself within the A70 chassis hell lol if you wanna be old school find a MA46 should suit your fancy on old school imports. Wouldnt it have been ironic if Akio drove a MA46 CelicaSupra instead of a S30

Nah, I like A70s a lot more. Maybe, just maybe, someday... I was toying with the idea of getting a 1JZ or 2JZ for the Z (instead of an RB) and dropping it in, then getting a cheap IS300 as a beater sedan. That way I have interchangeable parts, and a fun "practical" car. That's for the future though. As much as I'd like to get a Supra or something else, my girlfriend has already made it clear that she's going to break out a huge dildo and rape me if I get another project car... well, something like that. At this point I think its the safer option to just stick to one car. Besides, after all the effort I put into this S30, I don't want to get rid of it anytime soon.

@Oddman: poor guy... Shouldn't it be you that's doing the ra... you know what. Never mind. I know I will have to get J^2 a project build someday. Also if I ever got a Supra, God knows, 1J or 2J... III or IV... I'm gonna have to give it infinity billion hp for no particular reason other than it amuses me.

I think the reason he is considering a toyota engine is because he wants reliable big power. Not more RB'ish problems.
