^ I dunno if it's just me but why is the gear shifter on that machine on the right hand side.... Shouldn't it be on the left? [ Post merged on Nov 2 2009, 02:57 AM ]

not at all I played left hand shifter for 3 years and moved to Seattle and tried right hand shifter about like 5 times and got used to it immediately, though sometimes I do have left arm reflexes to downshift lol |

Weird, I live in a country with left hand drive cars. But, MT cabs here are with left hand shifters as well.....
I reckon we should have that here for a more realistic driving experience. For realisms sake. right? But don't get me wrong, Im more used to the left hand shifter since I have been on the eversince... |

Most racing games here even battle gear have left hand shifters. It's only need for speed carbon and NASCAR that have them right hand shifters.... |

if you cant get used to it on a game you have issues. i went from lhd to rhd in real life and it wasnt that bad. left side is better though maybe thats why, must be harder going from left to right than right to left.

Well, if you played hundreds of games with your left hand shifting, changing to a right hand cabin can have that phantom shift syndrome, waving at nothing. That makes you crash, thus I am not so good with right hand. |

I played countless MT games with rhd, and came to US and all of the sudden its lhd, it only takes a few weeks to get used to. The "waving at emptyness" habit only happens once in a while. Yes, its embarassing, but most of the time, ppl don't notice u doing that |
