OK... this thread has been silent... what's everyone up to these days other than playing WMMT3? Any of the old-timer forum posters (tofu_boy86, sunzabuto) still there?

I'm still here, too. Happy birthday!

The fashion show went well. I was approached to be a model in 2 more shows coming up in the next months. And, if all goes well with my designer friend, I will be in a magazine within the next 1/2-1 year. ^^

Well, I have been really bored the past day. So, last night I decided to take my extra diecast RX7 and customize it. Used extra pieces and scratch built some parts. I'm REALLY happy with how the splitter and the diffuser came out, did those from scratch to match the real life ones. Only pain was adding the larger brakes, I had to drill into the body to get them on. But, it's all good!

From this...

Things I did to it...
-switched out engine for a painted/detailed one
-carbon fibre hood
-carbon fibre GT wing (still can be removed and replaced with the original wing)
-red Sparco for the driver's seat
-big brakes from an extra Supra diecast
-new wheels
-scratch built replica front splitter
-scratch built replica side splitters/skirts
-scratch built replica rear diffuser

I need to do a few other little things to it, but I like how it turned out. More to come, most likely...

I like the rims, would be better if they were a little smaller. But, I think the colour and style go well with the car. 8P

I am also on the IDWF under the name Orochi Kyouichi.

My life is okay, but it sucks that I don't have Dethklok's Dethalbum right now. But luckily for me, I am a patient person, so I'll wait until a music store restocks it.

Lol, thank you for the comments. I just found out the headlight covers come off and the slim headlights are underneath...painting them and working on some clear covers now.

If Keisuke was real, I'd trade it to him for a ride in his FC. If this diecast was a real car, I'd keep it for myself!!!

@ Jon Michael: That's excellent work. If only you can cut thru the die-cast metal, and change the front bumper for RE-Amemiya ones. The Lip, the splitters, rear diffusers... Damn! they're great overall!!! How about making a new set of rims using Volk Racing Wheels TE37s? switch between two-wheel sets anytime eh?

These are great scale models, the skyline, the 86... whoaw!!! God-Hand indeed in other terms besides racing... Sankyuu!!! for sharing your talents!!!

i'm really planning to convert my black 240Z (i have two completely identical models of which, im taking one for renovation as a hobby) scale model to blue, as that of the Devil-Z. I still have to scrape off that original paint, and paint the new one. Sadly, we've got some bad weather here in our tropics, damn monsoon rains and lurid humidity... i don't want my paint to bubble or adhere insufficiently... ah well... i guess that will take me next year's summer...
dry.gif

hmmm... what about a paint booth and oven bake like process... rolleyes.gif i guess ill take a box and infra red light bulb to do the trick...
