Hehe, I'll try to post some pics of my progress soon. At least my frequent OTs at work are pretty much justified aside from getting to see and meet cute girls working in the same building as I am. grin2.gif

Aside from saving money for my car, why do you think I put up with my frequent overtimes at work? grin2.gif

@tofu_boy86
I'm not much of an expert with cars but I agree with wangan_sti when he said that you should keep the AE86 as clean as possible... then again, maybe the Initial-D image of the AE86 got stuck into my head... On the other hand, if you can't find an AE86, you can try looking for a look-alike, albeit a bit larger one: A Nissan Sunny hatchback maybe? happy.gif

Stuff the AE86, stupidly expensive and waste a ton of $$$ keeping the damn thing together let alone running reasonably okay pace. You get more fun and performance out of plenty other cars.

@Tofu_Boy86
Hnn... DreadAngel does have a point... The AE86 maybe a lot more affordable than the newer ones but as far as maintenance is concerned, it could be quite troublesome on the pocket. Then again, I've seen people over here take good care of their Mitsubishi Lancer Celestes use them on an almost daily basis. happy.gif

@RemieGino14
Having birthday blues?

@wangan_sti
I think you're dad is going to hand it (Impreza) down to you when you're old enough to legally drive or after he's done having fun with it. happy.gif

@Tofu_Boy86
Nobody's stopping you from getting the AE86. My previous comments with regards to parts came from my experiences here in my country. Admittedly, there's a rather high supply of Toyota spare parts and mods here due to the fact that the Toyota Corollas are the car of choice for the majority of taxi operators. However, the AE86 here is rather hard to find. Try studying your area's situation (car availability, parts, etc.) before giving up on your plans on the AE86. happy.gif

@Jon Michael
I share your sentiments. At least we have a relatively high paycheck. cool.gif

@wangan_sti
Well, considering what your dad has to consider (practicality, affordability, efficiency), I think your dad made a good choice with the forester. happy.gif

hnn.. if you're having trouble choosing, try thinking in terms of practicality, economic efficiency, eae of maintenance and most importantly, personal satisfaction. If one of them is able to satisfy or all ballance all four categories mentioned, then that' your ride happy.gif

Btw, personal satisfaction is also very important. You don't want to end up with a car that you don't really want or need. happy.gif
