It was one long, hot, Wangan free summer of Basic training and AIT, but now its over and Im finally permanent party and 88M(ike) certified. Thx again guys. Srry about the late response, while i was gone someone messed with my laptop and corrupted it, finally got a new one after 2 MONTHS!  lol,but yah, Basic and AIT was a blast, hard as hell but i got through it. Shot all types of crazy weapons (.50 Cal, MK19 aka auto grenade launcher  , M240 Bravo, SAW, AT4), got myself ALOT more in shape my PT test runs something like this: 52 pushups:2min, 89 situps:2min, 14:48 two mile. Im in no way in the best shape i could be but im getting there My new unit is pretty chill, last month i went to Ft. Mccoy in Wisconsin to qualify as my squads SAW gunner  . The bad news though is that Im getting deployed next October, Kandahar, Afghanistan. Oh yah, Im getting married |

Hey everyone, just dropped in to see if any of us "old-timers" are still here lol. I logged on today, finally finding the time to to a major update to the Directory thread when I come to find its been taken over!!
    Its not so bad though, I guess its for the best, the sad truth is I just cant dedicate as much time as it deserves to the site/thread and really Wangan in general. I just hope the member running it takes as much pride and care in it as I did. Anyway, a quick life update. Finally got married!!! Awesome feeling I have to say. The other main thing taking place in my life right now is my military career. I have been training like crazy for my upcoming deployment to Afghanistan. I found out I'll be doing service and support of the Kabul area. lol, nice, my wife is into Maxi, but not nearly enough to post on here  Thanks to everyone for the wedding congrats! I really couldn't be happier right about now, enjoying that married life. This year has really been crazy as hell for me. I started out the year going to school at a local community college, expecting to get called up in October. But things got moved up and I was activated for pre-deployment training in Febuary. So now I'm spending the better part of the year training. btw, my job in the army? 88M  B)Motor Transport Operator  |
