Dusted, the problem with your idea is it fits nowhere in the Wangan Midnight universe. The Manga doesn't go anywhere near any of the places you mention as far as I know.

If you wanted to do a MT game with tracks outside of the Wangan expressway, Osaka and a few other Japanese locales you would have your own title. Just Maximum Tune 4. No Wangan Midnight since it would no longer follow the story. You would have different characters and maybe cameos. But it's no longer Wangan Midnight.

Yeah i know, but still it's worth a shot?!

If you made a battle gear/ GT type game with MT physics I understand but this discussion is about WMMT4. Wangan Midnight is the first part of that acronym. You can't have Wangan Midnight in just these bizarre out of the way places if you want some semblance of fan support. You may as well have a race on the moon. There is no reason Akio's car would be anywhere OTHER than Japan for example. He has no reason nor means to leave. While Reina and Shima probably could, There's only so far we can suspend belief before we stop and say.. I don't care if they're rich, it makes no sense for their cars or the player cars to be jetsetting round the world.

I can agree to a GT type game with MT physics and anime style storyline and lots of tracks from everywhere. But it's not Wangan Midnight MT4 nor should it ever be.

So then if we're going to think on that route (which is very logical because I would hate for a WMMT game to ruin the WM feel), what can we expect for new courses?, besides opening up a few more ramps.

a choice for using a mag or IC cards.

mag: cheaper, less plays, only one car
IC: 3-5 (?) cars, harder to break but obviously more expensive

What about a drink holder for people who need that extra hydration during intense races?

But seriously, something we all need..an MP3 plug in to play our own music during races...yeah...that would rock..

Or a team naming system to put on our title which im sure has been mentioned a f-load of times..

I brought the name thing up awhile back. Seriously, 6 is enough - you're gonna have to shrink it down (if you have 7) or else risk doing a "Gacchan" with your name floating around the screen.

And 3:14 in this video - the player takes the right ramp. What I tried to bring up earlier (way back when at this point, actually) was the left ramp that was open in MT2, but closed for MT3 - that sucker was dangably fun to screw everyone up with!

Here's a vid of that Yokohama trackfrom R:Racing Evolution that I suggested. I really like it, but dunno about WMMT compatibility - maybe make a mod of it, I guess?

Speaking of which, I haven't heard anything about this, so don't flame me for asking: has there been any word out about MT4's release date, or even work-in-progress?

Basically what I've been saying - open up a lot more ramps.

As for the one you're talking about: not sure of where you mean since I don't pay attention. Gimme a starting ramp and route - I'll check it out and get back to you on it.

Gee, I think we need to do a recap, compress all this into one - just to eliminate re-posts. All for convenience's sake.

Do you mean racing inside the airport? I don't think that would work.

Yokohama seems like a good choice to include for WMMT4; it would be a further extension of both the Wangan and the Yokohane.

You can run Yokohama alone, with options for clockwise and counterclockwise.

I can see them making a 3rd long course if they include Yokohama, I'd name it Metro Expressway Kanagawa-Yokohama, that way you can leave in Metro Expressway Kanagawa (without the Yokohama extension).

I would also suggest a 4th course, Metro Expressway Tokyo-Kanagawa, make it worth 4 extra credits (since it'll be super-super long!), and if they include the Yokohama extension, throw in Metro Expressway Tokyo-Kanagawa-Yokohama, and make that 5 extra credits (since it'll be super-super-super long!!!).

wont people then be super-super-super pissed if they accidently get raced when they're in the middle of doing it and get challenged? *super-super-super credit loss*

Losing credits. How many games is that total that you proposed? Cuz down here, the Metro runs are two games worth, each game being either $1.50 or $2. Make it anymore than $4 around here, and I swear players'll avoid that addition like the plague!

Holy Hell. Be forewarned there'll be one less player to do a $10-per-play, even if it is onoce every few-or-more months.

To quote someone everyone knows well: "Good grief."

...including Uncle Scrooge!

I think making it $6 over here would be pushing it. Better suggestion might be pick parts of the metro highway and hash them together. Like with the current ones, that'd make for 4 different combinations that I can think of (full Tokyo, full Kanagawa, mix TK1, mix TK2) - just to keep in line with the $4-per-Metro run down here.
