APEX is the lowest speed hit in a turn before the speed increases to the exit.

Ex. Start the S turn and I've seen you take it at about an apex of 244-246.
You need to increase that speed by 6-8 KM if you want to really make hitting mid to low 48's a possiblity. Max Apex I've taken a S Osaka Turn was 255, and that's when i hit .621 on cp2, so i know you can do a lot better, because I'm not that faster than you guys.

well just like what sal said, i think as long as u fix ur apex lines then ur set


i can see that ur 2nd and 3rd cp's are pretty terrible, 1st is ok but needs to be slightly better, ur 4th cp is pretty decent fast, faster than mine, so there shouldnt be any problem
as long as u learn apex, although i do know u have trouble with that though

I do agree there. I find it much more difficult to find the right line for the S turns in 3rd person, but not to mention your taking the totally wrong line for maximum APEX anyways, so you really really have to refine your line to where your minimum apex for the S Turns are at least 251-254. That should lower your 2nd and 3rd cps by at least .1xx, making a 48.6xx a real possibility for you if you could lower you cp1 to a mid to low.7xx and your cp4 to a high to low .4xx.

I've hit on CP 1 58'781 like last Tuesday, but I messed up the rest...Lol.

I've got the fastest time for my car on Hakone at AI. 2:50:XXX

I was surprised that I managed to make such a time with such a speed > handling vehicle like the 350Z. I'm gonna try for a 2:49:XXX next time I go.

Also, finally managed to get my car up to 815HP. Thanks to those who let me finish off my upgrade, even though they were waiting for the machine I was using.

Leave him alone Jack. We were all at that point some time or another. He's still building skill and a sense for the tracks. It won't be long before he starts hitting high .27s or low .26s for Hakone.


Feronen: Now you can make it a goal to take down the top times for hakone at AI. Just keep practicing and you'll get there soon enough.

The main problem is that Z33s aren't good handling cars. If I want a clean run on Hakone, I have to sacrifice power for handling. If I want a fast run, I have to stick to a balanced vehicle. I can't be like you guys with your blocky Evos, Skylines, and Imprezas, all of which have excellent turn radii, and take a yellow or red turn at high speed while barely drifting around it. I have to slow down and drift around those turns or I risk smacking the outside wall. Z33s are sleek power-pushers, not fat road-ballerinas like the Evos and their cousins.

Besides, the best time I've ever seen a Z33 get was, like, a 2:38:XXX, so I don't think I can expect to get much more improvement than that, I guess.

Like jack said, he can pull a .29' on hakone. I'm guessing it was peters... None the less, it was a good time for a Z33. It's your turn to step up buddy. Let's see if you can keep up.
