what other arcades are there out here besides ontario gameworks that have wm? thats the only placve i know.

Yeah, I'll mostly likely will stop by as well, it being that this Sunday is completely boring and completely HOT.

MT3 Team Time Attack Tournament 1k Rules + Regulations

Maximum Tune 3 Team Time Attack 1K Tournament

How the Tournament Works:

This is a Team Time Attack Tournament. Below is an example of tournament play:

Say we have 2 Teams, Team A and Team B. The judge throws a coin to determine who goes first. Once the team is chosen they all take a seat and show the judge their cards before inserting quarters into the machine. If you put your card in without showing the judge your whole team is disqualified with no refund!

The judge then throws a standard 6-sided dice. Each number indicates a track:

1= C1 2= New Belt Line 3= Wangan 4= Yokohone 5= Osaka 6= Hakone

The judge then throws a coin to determine inbound/outbound.

Once course and inbound/outbound are chosen Team A may begin to play in time attack mode individually. When all 4 players are finished they must stay seated and do not leave until all the times are tallied. Do not advance the screen by pushing the buttons. If you do, your team automatically takes a loss.

When Team A's times are tallied its Team B's turn. Same course and same inbound/outbound are used. After Team B is done they are also tallied. We bring together both totals and see which team has the lowest total time. Example:

Team B wins round 1. Best out of 3 wins proceeds to the next race. If we have an uneven amount of teams there will be a lottery for the losing teams. It is wise to wait until the bracket is over to see if your team has a 2nd chance to compete.

Team Time Attack Tournament Rules


1. Same card through the whole tournament, you must present your card in the beginning of the tournament and it will be checked. Under no circumstances are you to switch cards.
2. No hacked cards, no bent cards they will be checked.
3. Tracks will be determined by a 6-sided dice and coin-flips for inbound/outbound.
4. Boost is ON!
5. If your team name is called and you don't show up in 5 mins your team will take a loss. If only one teammate is not present the team will take an extra minute on their total time.
6. Do not crowd the racers everyone sits on chairs and does not stand behind the racing chairs. Do no block the row to the other games next to Max Tune 3.
7. Races are 4 vs. 4. Best out of 3. First place takes all; cash prize is determined by number of entries.
8. Judge's word is final: Cherie (Arcademaid) Hector (Hex)
9. Bad sportsmanship is not tolerated and will result in instant disqualification.
10. Play at your own risk (errors may occur during gameplay). In the instance of a major error we will restart the match.


Tournament Day Procedures

1. If you are registering on the day* of the tournament come an hour earlier (7:00pm 7/26/2008). At the door team register is $125, we only accept cash.
2. Make sure you have your quarters ready to play the game, I urge everyone to come an hour earlier. James' Games has decreased MT3's game play to .50. We will not wait for you to buy your quarters during the tournament.
3. Please stick around inside of the arcade when the tournament has started. We will continue without you. Expect a long tournament and prepare accordingly.
4. Always look to the tournament roster to see when your team plays next.
5. Again early registration is open until Sat. July 19, 2008. The price per team is $100, please fill out the form at James Games and give payment to the cashier.
6. Each team requires a team leader. The team leader is the voice of the team the judges respond to the leader only! Please choose your leader wisely.
7. Make sure you have the following information when you come to pay for registration: Your team name,Your leader's name, Your member names, Your MT3 card names,Your car make, phone s and e-mails plus your payment.
8. Arcademaid turns off her cell phone prompty at 8:00pm, please call early for directions. Please Map Quest us:

Because of this type of tournement, i have to request to have a real serious type of conversation with the Arcade Maid, because it would be a real flaw of the tournement for the players to use the same car for the whole tournement due to some cars having more ability on different courses.

Ex. Z33 on Wangan, although it sucks on everything else, so if Wangan were chosen, the team with better cars for the course instead of TA ability would win the race, by proving that the best TA car is the Evo but is slower but more than a second than the Z33 on Wangan.

Anyways, i really think a lot of other people think this too.

I don't think that would be a problem, just give the number a call and I'm sure she would be more than happy to have an in depth convo about any of your questions.

I DONT quite understand the 4vs4 or BOOST on...Isnt this a TIME ATTACK Tournament??? There is NO boost in TA x)

Well it would actually be 25 a player on the each team since each team is made of 4 people, but the only tournement i have ever heard to win more than a 1000 prize/

Sal - its true on that wangan map.. ive hit a hight 4'06'99x on my friends evo once.. but that was about it.. lol.. its true tho, it wouldnt be fair if someone had that advantage if that map was chosen, then again, if we're only limited to using 1 car, then im sure everyone else would also choose a car that would fit all around

RACRX - lol i noticed that boost on part.. its one of the main tournament rules that theyve kept and pretty much copied and pasted and just added some new stuff on it.. so im sure arcademaid forgot to take that part out xP if you notice that whole part above it is the same as the rules from the previous tourney

@ Blaze. Yeah I know its expensive, my eyes about bugged out of my head too when she told me the entry fee. But this is a $1000 prize we are talking about here. So those entry fees will make up the grand prize. So it makes sense.

I'm gonna go to AI on friday, it's been too long plus the tourney last week has given me a a chance to see how the community has grown, I got to meet a lot of cool ppl, all that good stuff. it'll be play casualy now tho, just using my first 815 from wangan hahah
