Woah! a lot of racers, hehe..

I'll try to be there 1 hour before, just to be an early bird. Its because I'm still not sure if my Saturday plan would push through, just so in case it does, I may be able to race some of the early birds as well, hehe..

@Takuyaki Racers

Rules & Regulations (?)
1. since there currently are 8 of us, we'll be divided into two groups of four.
2. the top 2 racers of each group will slug it out at a 4-way final race.
3. The winner of the final race will get a free serving of Takuayki Balls.
4. "Defeated" participants will pitch in for the cost of the Takuyaki Ball serving. Each serving is P22 for three "big" Takuyaki Balls.

Any comments? Suggestions? Gastronomical reactions? grin2.gif

group divisions will be on a toss-coin basis.

The Takuyaki Races will be held on December 1, 2007 (Saturday), at Timezone, Gateway (near the movies) @3PM onwards. (Wow, that sounded like a formal invite happy.gif )

@OSF_Kael
Think Timezone will allow a reservation? grin2.gif

Split my study day between starbucks trinoma & san lazaro again today and spent some time playing MMT3.

Didn't really like my Evo9 since when I made that card I was kinda rushed and didn't look thru all the choices. So I started a new card. I might go back to the Evo9 but this new one is going to be my primary card from now on.

Like was stated before Trinoma Timezone is deserted from opening to about 2ish when a lot of students start coming in. Used that time to tune up STURM. Politely declined a battle invite with 400+ star 820HP guy. Let him know that I just started on my new card and was powering up.

Went to San Laz after I finished my reading assignment to check out the crowd there. Big mistake. San Laz must be surrounded by a ton of schools since WOF was filled and the wait was way long (3 deep on both machines at one point). Sunday afternoon at Trinoma the waits are way way shorter than here. Looks like the offset of the savings you get at San Laz is the waiting times.

But I took the chance to observe and learned some cornering techniques from a guy who had the top time in I think the Osaka course at the San Laz machine. I want to finish getting STURM up to 820HP then I'll hit the Ghost/TA/Battle circuit. Don't really know the courses that well yet. Plus I want to work out the problems with my cornering. Especially with those damn chicanes. I always hit the wall on the 2nd turn. especially on C1 Inward.

it's a good thing you chose to do TA's first, at least you will memorize each of the courses

keep practicing and you will be able to get the hang of it smile.gif

@ RB33
is it only 1 winner? and is it boost on or off?

@SturmWind
You might want to join the "Takuyaki Racers" this December 1 and watch (and join maybe?) the fun. You might get tips and techinque from the better players (Kael, Mix, tigger, evo_Sieg?) grin2.gif grin2.gif grin2.gif

@akinaae86
uh... yeah... only one winner... but... do you have any suggestions to improve the rules & regulations? The rules & regulations that I posted aren't final yet and any suggestions to improve on them is greatly appreciated. grin2.gif grin2.gif grin2.gif

Btw, the race is boost-on so that everyone will have a shot at those takuyaki balls. grin2.gif

@RB33:
Thanks for the invite. I'll see what I can do.

I have an in-center review session from 9-4pm. But that's in the Morayta-FEU area, so it won't be a problem getting to Gateway. Jeep to Legarda LRT Station and 20-30min later I'm at Gateway.

@Kramy:

Hahaha. Perhaps, if I make it, I shall only be spectating and not joining in. Joke lng of course.

@Tomoeshinji:

You haven't posted in 2 weeks, but you were the one asking about players at San Laz? I was there today and saw you. You had on the red shirt and had TOMOE as ur card name. Looks like you've progressed a lot since you've posted from what I saw. I was the guy waiting behind you with the maong pants, tan shirt, glasses & shaved head.
