I prefer using the first person view in this game, while other people wonder how I can play in first person, I wonder how the can play in third person (seems impossible to me, I am always hitting stuff).

I didn't see this question asked yet, so whats YOUR view preference?

I play this game for fun: so I like 3rd person since I get to enjoy watching my car drift.

i love inside view, seems faster, closer to the road and walls and more realistic. although now and then i do switch to outside but that's mainly to admire my car for a few seconds

Yeah I can relate to that, gotta love my blue neons <3.

First person view. is gay, I feel like im playing the "Superman" arcade... Like flying thru the course seeing nothing but walls and road..


You cant see if your going to hit a wall, is harder to get in between traffic, you cant enjoy your car etc.


I love 3rd person view. I enjoy my EVO VIII, I can see where im going, love to see the car drift, easier to get in between traffic. 3rd person is a lot better.

Some people actually find it easier to get closer to walls in 1st person view. Also you can use the Rear view mirror for blocking.

I always use 3rd person view bc I love to watch my car drift.

1st person view, the reason bc ppl say that you can c the corners better than 3rd.

i used to play in first person but i kinda got bored because all i see is the tach.. so i switched to third person and now im used to it.. i think im much better playing in third person than when i was using first person.. and its fun to see your car drift and appreciate the looks of the car.

its gotta be third person....U cant really see what line u're taking in 1st person view mainly cos its just not a real car and when u're in a real car the view is different....and u dont have a feel of how much your car is sliding etc as again mainly cos its not real so yea...third person for me

i take it i'm the only one so far that's voted for 1st person meh, each to their own.
i love drifting round a corner, and having just the wall in my screen sliding sideways and then 'feeling' when to turn the steering wheel back without seeing where i'm going.

Most ppl play 3rd person view anyway.

Here is a question:
What is the most POV that you see at your local arcade u go to?
mine is 3rd and rarely 1st.

1st person unless I'm directly behind a car and can't see out the sides, then i'll switch to pass and switch back.

When I race in 3rd person, the car doesn't move and react visually like it does in 1st person. If you turn the wheel sharply in 1st person, you see it, so you feel it. If you see it in 3rd, it views as a much slower reaction to me, I can't tell where the car is going.

I only know of two regular 3rd person racers of the people i see normally.

At my arcade it is nearly all third person, a couple people I know race first but not much.

I like first person though, except for when you get stuck behind a car and can't see (like was already mentioned) then I will switch to third.

I do like looking at my awesome design and watching the car drift though

All i could say is that everybody got used to first . Kuz u can see the road better

i only use first person to see the mirror

It also seems like it is easier to fit between narrow spots in first person view. Like you know... Sometimes there is a car on the side of the road and you can JUST slip in between the wall and car?

It seems like every time I attempt that in third person I end up hitting the wall or the car or both. But if I do it in first person I can slip through going full speed without hitting anything.

It's a pretty balanced opinion at my arcade, different sides to each.
The seeming benefit of narrow spaces has already been mentioned, I noticed that a little too.

But personally, I use third person. I guess it's whatever you start with when you start playing MT?

Or whatever you usually used on previous driving games before playing MT.

both is good

I am so used to first person mode ever since the first WMMT. The only time I ever used third person mode is to see my cool-looking Pac-Man stickered Lan-Evo IX going full throttle.

First-person view all the way

first person so you can get real close to the guard rail, also cos it allows for more close calls with traffic. Although it can get quite difficult when you're right behind someone, slipstreaming. All you see is their ass, then they switch lanes and BAM! you smash into a HiAce!

Like where they put the gauges in first . Although im not use to first
