Alright, I stumbled onto this Korean MMO called drift city. Basically, its set in the future and all the cars are powered on this new fuel which I forgot it's name. There are all these rogue cars around the city and you are a professional racing driver working for the government who's mission is to stop these rogue cars. Its great fun, although not realistic and the aim of the game isn't P2P racing (even though there is a battle feature between racing teams and players, its still a great light hearted MMO. You level up by doing missions like time trials and things like that around the city. The game also features free roam which is fun. All your favourite cars are there but under new names due to licensing. Graphics are very similar to the cell shaded style of auto modelista. Overall, the game is very fun. I recommend it.

Yeah, mmos do get boring when you're power building, but i'd rather be racing around the streets than clicking and pointing.

Clicking and pointing, pointing and clicking, as is the nature of the MMO.

I've tried this game. It's like Need For Speed, and Kart Rider put into one game.

I've actually been playing this for the last 2 months. It was great right up until content ran out and Ijji didn't release any more. Apparently the fourth city (right now we have 3/4 cities in the english version) is being implemented sometime during November. I personally doubt the estimate, but it'd be nice. I'm also playing Skid Rush, which is the Korean (ie. full) version. It's a lot more active than Drift City, which only has 500-800 players now. It used to be closer to 3000-3500, but people got bored quickly, due to the nature of the game (grind grind grind).

Hehe yeah, that's happened to me too. The games still in beta, so it's still buggy. Expect a better product for the final version.

They finally fixed a game-breaking boost glitch that allowed infinite boost. That was a crazy 2-3 days of racing.
