if someone's so impatient with the fan-subbing, then sub it yourself..

it doesn't take long to learn japanese

it's not like they're getting paid thousands to do that.

an average translator in the immigration department earns USD4k - 10k a month, regardless where you go..

so i guess subbing the anime is already a noble thing.. don't shoot him..

we really appreciate your work.. or at least i do.. thanks for everything

well as long as the WM is being subbed I'm happy

I'd rather have quality vs. speedsubbing

the only downside is while I wait for WM to
be up to date in the subbing I keeping picking
other anime to watch grin2.gif

my only suggestion would be to keep
the fans updated with the progress

that small snippet of your sub work is a step
in the right direction

hurry up Nomake before I end up following 10+
different anime! lol

so much conflict over a simple anime sub. it'll come out when it comes out, its not like ur life depends on it. if i was subbing id go slower cause so many people are complaining.

I know you are hard at work subbing all the current episodes. I was wondering if you plan to release one episode at a time when your finished with it or are you waiting till you are done with all the current episodes and upload them all at once?

I was thinking batching 3-6 and then doing one-by-one from 7 onwards.

Uh, what did that mean exactly?

Did you want to re-sub the Anime from 3-6 again, then continue on to 7? that's good news to me

But if you make it a batch from 3-6, please reconsider. I can't download as fast as you guys do outside my country.
Not to mention, my Hard Disk's memory is running low

I didn't use my laptop to download the episodes.

I use my father's PC at my house to download it.

Mcfly, if it's not too much to ask, can you upload it on your server, one by one when Nomake already batch them?

I will be uploading all subsequent episodes on his server myself, since he has been incredibly kind and allowed me to have an account with him. I can't thank him enough for that.

But for the BitTorrent users, 3-6 will be a batch 1-2 [DVD] will be a batch, and everything after will be done one-by-one. Even then, most BT clients let you open a batch and select which files you want, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal anyway.

My internet connection here in Indonesia can't use Torrent...

That's why I can't download batches here... And I don't understand how to use them

What is Seeder, what is Leecher... It's just to complicated and to big for my internet connection

Ah, haha. Then yeah, they'll be uploaded to the server first. That way more people can help seed, since my upload speed is incredibly slow. If I were the only one seeding, it'd take quite a while.

So is it that you are re-encoding and subbing all the old episodes before moving on to the new ones?

I hope not cause that would be kinda pointless. I mean they are already out there why waste time.

It doesn't have to be DVD quality. I'm positive people would be satisfied with a slightly lower quality episode if they were able to get it a little faster.

What's it been 3 months since the last sub was released? Kinda lame.

I'm sure if it was even one ep. a month everybody would be satisfied.

How about trying the bowflex method: Subbing 20 mins. a day, 3 days a week.

Surely you could put out something in that time span.

Jeez just bring on the new episodes already.

Ha, I guess thats that im tired of waiting way to put it tongue.gif tongue.gif Its true, Im sure everyone would rather like to have the new eps subbed first, But thats how he wants to do it so theres nothing we can do. Just sit tight and wait.

Duh, we all know the translation is kinda long to progress. Me too, want to see subbed new episodes as fast as I can...

But the way you said it, it's kinda wrong you know. Many of members here are waiting patiently. So why can't you?

But if you insist to speeds up Nomake's work, you can sub it yourself (I'm sure they provide it with the BT link) or you can watch the unsubbed version.

Its up to you... But remember this:
First, you're not the only one who's waiting, you know... All member here too, is eager to see the latest episodes

Second, you and I both know, that Nomake has other things to do too, besides subbing them

And thridly, Nomake is the One thats subs it, not you... So I guess he can do whatever he likes, as he subs it... He's the only one who can decide that

Be grateful that we got someone like Nomake around to sub it (considering he's solo worker)

I'd just like to say thanks for subbing the series. WM is such a great series, I just wish I could understand Japanese so I could watch and read it all now (that or have WM be popular in the states like ID).

I've got no problem with the guy giving priority to other things in his life. That's not an issue. I mean c'mon its only anime.

But if you wanna act all Lone Wolf like and not ask for help when clearly you aren't up to the task then you should expect complaints.

Having other things to do still doesn't change the fact that its taking an inordinately long time to release a new ep. And saying that its taking so long because your wasting time re-subbing and re-encoding episodes everyone's already seen is just adding insult to injury IMHO.

What am I going to do, re-watch the first 6 episodes just because the Blackbird looks a little shinier than before ? huh.gif I think not.

Either ask for help, or just continue where the subbing left off.

You're a funny dude. In fact you're one of the few people who have the balls to just stand up and go "WTF, seriously now? Come on." Which is nice, people like that need to be around.

So here you go, timeline:

-Nomake gets bored one morning after the release of episode 1. Spends an hour or so, subs it, releases it. Hurrah.

-Episodes 1 and 2 come out raw. Nomake starts on 2.

-Life gets in the way, but Nomake pushes hard and manages to get 2 released by the weekend, along with a re-release of 1.

-Nomake moves to California.

-Episodes 3-4 come out.

-Nomake begins on episode 3, but as he begins is contacted by Flomp, who asks him to join their project. He accepts and is told to cancel his script for 3 and work on 4 instead. Nomake does that.

-Nomake gets 75% with the script for 4 and reviews the script he was given from Flomp for 3. It's terrible. Nomake decides to split with Flomp, but is then left finishing 3-4 on his own.

-Episodes 5-6 come out. Work starting to pile up, both in real life and on the Anime side. The amount of "fun" spent subbing decreases, and the script for 4 deadlocks around 85%.

-Episodes 7-8 come out. Sometime near this, Hard Gay Fansubs releases 3-6. Nomake is relieved that someone is taking it on, leaving him to slowly return to the original episodes.

-Episodes 9-10 come out. HG-F contacts Nomake about a possible joint project, and help out by supplying completed scripts for 3-6. Nomake vows to work them over for corrections, and leaves HG-F to do scripts for 7+.

-Nomake finishes checking 3-4, but hears nothing about 7+. Continues with checking, but gets stuck somewhere in episode 5.

-Episodes 11-12 come out. Nomake is in NY on vacation.

-Nomake returns to CA and focuses mostly on his real-life job, using what little free time he has to watch Anime. Still no word on scripts for 7+ but doesn't want to push the topic on HG-F because he himself hasn't finished the redone scripts for 3-6 and HG-F has their own life just as much as he does.

-Present day. Episodes 13-14 are on Share waiting to be downloaded, but are missing uploaders somewhere around 90% and 20%, respectively.

So I'll lay this out plain. *ahem*

I'm good at translating. I like doing it. What I hate doing is timing and making subs look pretty (which is why 1-2 are just yellow subs). To be perfectly honest the best job I could do would be as a quality checker after the script has been produced, to go back through a mostly-completed timed and translated script and go, "Oh, this should be this."

So if you really wanna help, then jeez, go time some scripts to episodes 7+. Gimme the scripts, I'll run 'em over with my checks (or translate, whatever), and we'll have some episodes.

At this point I really don't care. I'm still working a little bit at a time in the background finishing up 5-6. And I still go back and watch the DVDs and get the urge to just start subbing anew. But right now it's starting to be more of a burden than the fun it was when I first began. I guess that's what subbing is.

Sorry for being long-winded, but honesty does that.
