Yeah, That was expected. I feel sorry that the fun of subbing has gone out for Nomake. Take the time out/vacation and sort out the other stuff on your priority list first and hopefully the fun'll come back to subbing.

Now the tone of my posts may have been harsh but hey, I call it how I see it.

I've got a version of episodes 7 & 8 that are subbed in simplified Chinese. If anyone has the transcripts to 7 & 8 in English then I don't mind pasting them in as the timings are already good (I've checked!) and it wouldn't be too much of a problem for me to simply edit out the Chinese and replace it with the English and then hard code them in (or save them as .ssa or .sub, whatever you guys want). I could do it in about a day tops and then get it back on here (that is if that's what you guys are after).

i think this might be off topic but.... how many times DOES akio total his devil z?

Woah if you could do that, that'd be awesome. Please, I wanna see 7 and 8, and if you got more episodes, that'd pwn too.

Like I said, if anyone has the transcripts in English then I don't mind at all timing them up and hardcoding them in. I'm as keen as everyone else to see WM in English but unfortunately my Japanese is pretty pants (putting it mildly!) I can do upto 12 in no time at all (I haven't got any later than that yet as I'm desperate to get going on the episodes from 7.

i'm rooting for all you guys who put effort in subbing it. especially the one who started it, nomake wan.

Off T: also notice that Akio works all day and night, going far beyond what would be considered overtime for most people, skipping school often and sleeping between the early morning and his work after doing devil Z runs. He probably gets the space for his Z from Kochan. He also has access to a shop which means he doesn't have to spend on labor for modifications. Just gas and parts.

Actually I think most of his funds are coming from the gas station he works at and the restaurant he works as well.

Correct and correct. But the major changes to the Z don't even come from Akio, and that's what ticks me off so much about him. Engine rebuild and retune? Kitami does it for free. Complete body rebuild and retune? Takagi does it for free. WTFsauce. That shit would cost you tens of thousands of US dollars, if not more. And he gets it for free.

So whoop-dee-doo, Akio pays for his own basic maintenance, and pays to un-dent the body once. Big deal, he's still cheating.

Then again... (spoiler for people who haven't seen past episode 10)

...Reina gets her car tuned by Yamamoto for free, gets all her maintenance done by Yamamoto for free, and then gets to use the RGO demo car R33 whenever she wants (again, thanks to Yamamoto) for free. She bought the R32 outright in the first place, but it is rather unfair that she gets 600+ HP and access to an 800 HP demo car for nothing.

The problem is Akio really. I don't know why people are compelled to help him throw his life away. Reina I understand. She's a girl. A very pretty one. History cannot record how many things a pretty girl can get for free. Unfair.. but we can't all have been born pretty.

Who doesn't wish that something like that occurs with you? (having you car fully tuned for free)

As he has said twice already (though it seems people don't know how to read to comprehend...), he would be happy to time a script for the subs, but he would need a translation first because he doesn't know much Japanese. He was asking anyone if they had a translation he could time.

softsubs would be fine with me too, I don't need fanzy karaoke subs at the intro and outro and something like that anyways...

Soft subs it is then. I can host them on my own webspace then and post the link once it's there. I assume you guys know how to get them to work (renaming the .sub file to the exact same name as the video file apart from the extention?!) I'll do a hard sub too and then work out how to get it downloadable via torrent or some such. They'll be around 220meg(ish). I'd like to keep it looking as authentic as possible, like they're meant to be there. Not just slapped on as an afterthought.

I think I can explain this....
The Akio's S30Z is nicknamed Devil Z. So, the people turns "entranced" by the car and help him.

The explanation isn't really needed... we know why he's getting it done. As Kitami said, "Money? I don't care about that. I don't think Takagi does, either. What we want you to do is drive. Drive, race, and keep doing it until the very end."

It's just that he's got all that support for free that ticks me off. I know why, but that doesn't keep me from getting mad at it.
