Right guys and dolls, here is the link. I don't know how long it'll stay active so someone may need to take care of hosting it but it should be good for around 2 weeks I think. Things to bear in mind... This is the first time I have subbed anything. I have had the software for a week or so, so go easy on it and don't just dis the crap out of it. If there are any mistakes to the translation then just go with it, it's pretty good anyway. And finally, there is a spelling mistake in there (I spotted it last night whilst watching it for the millionth time) but I just wanted to post the damn thing by then. I'll rectify that whe I get a chance. It's a little bigger than you're used to but you'll see why when you get it. In the meantime, enjoy it... please. When you click the link it'll take you to a download page. Right click the file to save as, don't just click it!Wangan Midnight Episode 7 DVD Like I said, go easy on it. It's my first time. Why WMV? Just asking...why not a more usual format like AVI (using XviD or DivX) or MKV (using h.264 and softsubs)?
Downloading now, will check it out. Great job on getting a release done! Have also added the download link to the first post.
EDIT: Just finished watching your subs.
First off, I'd like to begin by saying thanks for fulfilling a need that hasn't been met until now. Hopefully you'll continue like this, since you seem to have made a nice product in a fairly short amount of time. Congratulations.
The translations, for the most part, are there. There are some issues with context, but since the overall meaning of what's being said is conveyed, the subs pass. If you'd like me to break it down in detail, contact me and I'd be happy to walk through it.
However, it's your encode I'm astounded with. I see that you used Encode360 to create it (which explains why it's in WMV... I'm guessing you're an avid Xbox360 video watcher rather than a computer-user), but did you use anything else for post-processing? And what raws did you use? Q-R's DVDrips, or the actual DVDs? My only complaint about the encode is that you didn't normalize the audio in the 5.1 track before putting it into the final encode...so it ends up being very quiet. I had to turn my computer's volume up to full to hear it clearly. But since it's WMA instead of AC3, that completely sidesteps the issue I thought you would have with including the 5.1 track, that being compatibility problems across computers. Congratulations on that as well.
Overall, great job. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we're glad to have you around.
