MoneyMarv: Yes. So far, only you and holden know who I am. That is, unless the lovegetty people figure it out. VS514: I think I saw you at lovegetty. The whole time I thought you were bennz, till I got home and looked through the names on the sig. (my apologies to VS514 and bennz for the mixup) Either way, you guys are GOOOOOO... (insert O`s here here)... OOOOOD. What was with the suicide left wall bump at the end of the osaka battle though? You easily had second place. Other lovegetty people: I didn't quite get who a few people were. D***B (VS514 knows him somehow), ANGEL, WKC(something something...), and =P were there too. Plus one guy whos card I can't remember. Starts with a B? It's the same guy that challenged VS514 and D***B... That being said, that's about 3 people who have a rough idea of who I am. Of course all 3 of them also know how n00b I am. Those machines are nice though. Machine 4 has a minor issue with the shifter (no cover) and a chunk of the foam is missing from the wheel, but is still very playable. Is there something wrong with machine 2? The whole time, everyone played on either machines 1, 3, and 4, so I was scared to race on machine 2. Maybe it's time for pmall during the weekend. you're telling me. I walk in, see two guys play, and... well... MoneyMarv: Yes, yes I did. It's as if his line was intentionally made to block and ram me every chance it gets. I'm still relatively new to wangan. You must teach me!!! (as do all you people from lovegetty and pmall - you'll get an apprentice!) djnocturnal: I dunno if it's a dupe or not, I only remember the name ANGEL. And that it was a white car. The subtitle was about the white defender or white light or something like that. random venting: Does anyone happen to know why the shoppers world arcade closed down? I tried stopping there today only to find.. a dentist office, which was also closed. I checked the store directory, it said it was still there. What ticked me even more so was that there was a Gamestop AND an EB in the same mall. what gives? they have room to make a gamestop AND an EB, but not an arcade? If anyone can throw cupcakes, throw some at shoppers world PLEASE!!!!

QUOTE (MaxX @ Today at 1:50 AM) | Wait, wait....
When did I race you? And at what time....card name? |
a direct race? I think only once... the rest of the time I've been facing your ghost, which I gotta say, is a well run ghost. I know you're driving the proper line, but whenever I race that ghost, and I'm in the proper line, I always end up getting ransacked by being rammed into the wall, another car, truck, or just being plain used as a wall cushion. It's not necessarily a bad thing (well bad for me ). I'm just saying it only seems that way. It's the rules of racing a ghost, right? This post has been edited by blues on Jul 25 2008, 10:01 PM

QUOTE (MaxX @ Today at 2:29 AM) | Ghost races are bullshit anyway, they're boost on.
So even if you should technically be murdering the ghost, more often than not it keeps up unless the guy kept ramming into walls during that perticular run.
Anyone who runs a half-decent line will have a ghost thats "hard" to beat because you can't push it out of the way. If it beats you on the last 1km because it's a straight and the boost pulls it ahead (and it happens ALOT, frustratingly) then it wins even though it should've lost.
When did we race directly though? What's your card name? What course were we racing? I don't recall anything, really. |
If anything, your ghost would probably be murdering me There's the whole thing about winning from behind because of the boost, but it was more about the way you ran your specific line was almost as if you expected me to be at a specific spot at a specific time. e.g. 1: there's that one right turn on New Line where if a car is to the right of your ghost, they're screwed because they have no way to pass the truck on the right and can't push your ghost out of the way -> they're led right into the truck. Countless times. e.g. 2: there was one of your previous osaka runs that had 3 interesting quirks. first quirk was when a car is to the right of your ghost coming into the long stretch where 4 lanes become 2 (basically where you start the race, but on the second lap). I somehow come to the right of the ghost, the ghost somehow rams me on the side, and I always get pushed right into the wall. Second quirk was on the turn right after the sharp hairpin after the first quirk scenario. The ghost hugs the wall so closely that anyone on the right side will get rammed into the wall. Third quirk was on the final turn before the finish line - same idea, the person to the right of your ghost simply gets crushed. It's so frustrating, but funny at the same time... you must be subconsciously anticipating people racing your ghost and place in tricky and tight situations! j/k I know you're driving the proper line. The one time we actually raced was maybe a month or two ago, and wouldn't really expect you to remember me back then. I was, and still am a newb. Courses may have been Osaka, C2 and New Line., but I can't quite remember. You and Syren won by a good amount... and then some. But speaking of female racers, who's HANO and SARA* (* = star)? Typically when I'm racing, I try to stick as close to traffic as possible anyway. It's dangerous if you screwup, but it gives less room for people to move around me. Plus, sometimes people stick to my rear and then ill move slightly out of the way of oncoming traffic and they'll ram right into it.
Same goes for turns, I try to hug them to give very little room to get through. Since ghosts can't be pushed, naturally, if you're trying to get on the inside, my car will push yours into the wall because mine gets priority.
Use boost to your advantage and go outside and you have a winning formula against my ghosts, really.
