I'm live in rez. I don't have a car in toronto.
It takes me 3 hours to get to toronto.
And while I'm in toronto, I like to enjoy my stay, break my personal best records.
Back when I was a noob, I would've loved to go to Orbit to have fun and to beat people.
But nowadays, it's a different experience. All the people I used to play with have either quit, or have moved on to Battle Gear.
Wherever I play now, there is a new group of people, but theres just this HUGE gap between our skill and driving style. To them, I'm a cheap dirty son of a B*tch...which leads to hate, and in worst case scenarios, violence. Like how Alex got punched in the face because he was too good in gety, the day before new years eve.
However with the regulars in gety, we have a fun time, they know that it's the style which I play with and I'm just being normal.
Winning doesn't really matter to me, it's the fun factor of ramming other people into barricades and trucks that makes MT fun. However, except for benny or alex, everybody is either a HUGE difference gap away from me, or that they just B*tch and complain saying how cheap I am and don't rechallenge.
Maybe my expectations are a bit too high, but playing with HKWCS in Hong Kong and hanging out my friends in Vancouver, in general, Toronto standards are just too slow.
Nobody takes the game seriously anymore, and there's no competition. All everybody does is either ghost mode, or Osaka TA.
In Toronto, theres nobody even close to my TA's for C1 IN or Hakone IN.
I've pretty much retired from MT3, but I still pop in at times, giving advice to those who seek it and need it.
Battle Gear Time Attack is where it's at. Huge learning curve. It's the only racing game that people in Toronto are currently competitive in, and there are HUGE different styles. Tuning your car one way and tuning your car another way has HUGE impact on performance.....basically you need to have a different set up for each track if you want to run the fastest times possible.
Everybody's car handles differently, and so is everybody's driving style.
