Marv: Dunno when MaxX bennz and coco will be up that early again. I can easily pick you up from brampton - heck, I work right near bramalea city centre so I know the neighbourhood! Pmall is in scarborough/markham. Not sure about a PD run during the week - not on tuesday for sure, and probably not thursday. And I work 1-9 so I can't make it any earlier on a weekday.

Expect me at Orbit for about 1 in the afternoon on Saturday. I'm gonna be too tired in the morning because I'll be recovering and will have to eat at market beforehand too.

After addressing everyone, there was an interesting random day at PD. (read at your own risk, or you can skip it... all I can say is that it's an interesting story)

SPOILER

*CEE (asian girl) and KYKEE (asian guy) who have 640 hp cars challenge a 250 hp guest. Not one for seeing injustice, I join in on the battle royale. During the race, there's a guy that places cards down on the machine. I win, they don't continue. New challenger. Who is it? MaxX!!! Syren joins in too (yay, 3 way battle!) So we battle Osaka, Hakone, New Line, and even Yokohane (awesome races!) At this point, Syren stops challenging, and I battle MaxX 1v1 (new line and yoko, because I have no clue on courses). At the challenge screen, *CEE comes up and says - good luck: isn't his car better than yours? I say they're almost the same. He's just better than me, that's all! After a couple of matches watching MaxX's runs from behind, I take a breather and talk to MaxX to formally introduce myself. (btw, bennz, still good for saturday - i managed to convince him to go a little later so more time for sleeping!) So after recouperating, I went back to the 2nd machine (no force feedback), and saw that my ghosts were defeated. Select revenge - I see CLOUD and MaxX. I pick cloud. Picked the track, making the first right turn, the steering wheel freezes and the machine gets unresponsive for a good minute, and pretty much ends my ghost battle. I walk away from the machine thinking it's cursed. Next guy sits in... CLOUD!!!! He does a couple of races and the machine works perfectly fine. He gets off, I go in again. Do time attack, everything is fine. Random guest with a stock car challenges, and I get drawn in. Machine gets stuck on steeriing right during the challenge and I get drawn into a Hakone battle with 600 hp super high grip. CLOUD sees this and enters on machine 1. My machine gets responsive and I pick the proper hp, and Osaka gets picked. First turn... machine goes down again. (at this point, I'm helpless while *CEE was kinda feeling sorry for me - tells me to get my money back - I say don't worry about it) After a minute, machine goes online again and manage to catch up to guest, but CLOUD was easily 5000m ahead. Thinking the machine is haunted, I take a break and let other people play. This other guy (wangan beginner with a fully tuned car) enters and challenges CLOUD and ARLEN. guest on machine 4 rechallenges. Battle was mainly between CLOUD and ARLEN, with the other guy scoring a win off guest. At this point, guest stops rechallenging and races story mode. I'm wondering why guest takes so long. I look at his credits... it reads 10/01 credits. (sigh). So I take a seat watching the machines by the daytona machines just across. I'm sitting there, *CEE comes by and says "You're still here?!?!?!" After having a conversation, she seems nice enough, I introduce myself. So I tell her my name is Wil, just as it says on my card. She says "Wil with one L? That makes you sound illiterate!" (rofling at this point) - I say it's unique and it's short for Wilbert. (more rofling at this point). Then I ask for her name - she brings out her card and I say "your name is starcy?" She says no - it's part of it. I say "star?" She says cee... convo goes on but needless to say it was an unusual conversation. I check the 4th machine the guest was on and it became JJJJJ, and it's a younger kid. I look at his credits again - no joke: 25/01.

long story short (for those who skipped ahead) 3 things are on my mind...

1) Great timing - MaxX and Cloud coming in. Bad timing on JJJJJ inserting 25+ credits at once. And the guest inserting 10+ before him.
2) Does machine 2 at playdium really hate me that much to go down each time I'm in a battle?
3) Does the name Wil really sound illiterate?
