Don't count on that. The best guy at the arcade is the fastest on all courses and he rarely brakes.

No $h!+ you can drive without the brakes... But you'll never get the best times by doing that on Osaka/ Hakone/ or suicide left/right.

I tap with the left to get the car to sit out for a drift but no real hardcore breaking though.

I've seen someone did a NO BRAKING technique on one of the games... though i didn't see him tune his car... he might have increased the level of his handling bars against the power bars... Amazing... oh well! WMMT is indeed an arcade racing game and not a simulator... ahh! what gives! if you want sheer speed... WMMT is the answer to 300+ km/h... piece of cake!!!

*

I still use the brakes, usually tap it to set a drift, but i brake horribly when taking tight hairpins (red tag corners)... i just want to make SURE i don't hit the wall... geez... im a n00b!! hehehe laugh.gif

Brakes are for sukas. Its all about taking your foot off the gas, shifting down, drifting and gassing (or possibly tease tapping the gas pedal) the hell around/out of sharper corners.

I'm still quite nooby but have experimented with different methods and this way may not be the best...but you sure feel like a pro and gotta love the engine revving! grin2.gif

Sometimes I even wonder if the turns I make would strip the gears in RLF if thats possible. blink.gif

I agree that having a no-brake run is sure fun, but there are just some corners where it would be best to brake than lose a hella lot of speed by over-drifting. Your car loses its balance and often its harder to accelerate out of the corner since a lot of your revs dropped off.

lol...that's not really good to break with left foot...

becuz then ur brain tells you to hit the pedal and may cause you to slam the accelerator as well...that's why they tell you to use ur right foot so as to let go of the gas pedal

Two red turns on Hanshin require the brake unless you walltap, and even then...

There's one red turn though that you should come out of at around 270 without letting off the gas or braking.

I use my left foot to brake in MT3, irl I use my right foot.

voted for right foot braking... just get to use in my A/T car using only one foot... just what akinaae86 it's really hard to use left and right foot in A/T.. in the game, braking is very hard skill to learn in the game.. so others tend to just release gas early before turning.. others do walltap... it's not noob to use braking.. why would namco would still put brake pedals when it will be useless to the game.... even i use brakes and still can't master my turns... still i consider myself a noob hahaha
