That means that TA lines can't be fully utilized in battles. wink2.gif
During battle, you have to learn to turn fast while blocking the car behind and that not necessarily means utilizing TA lines, and in some extreme condition, sending one opponent to the wall and you get the clean line and speed off to be the victor.

Learn to exit a corner while keeping your opponent behind and if you're lucky/good, make use of your opponent to provide you with a little "speed boost".

well, TA lines cant be fully utilized anyway. what with traffic and all...

good players can adapt, and make new lines too.

Better TA people prefer boost off and people who cant keep up with their Apex and exit speed prefer boost on, of course with exception...ex. racing friends or ramming for fun...etc...but better TA equal better lines and able to adapt to any situation, plus better TAers have the balls to hug the wall and go through traffic a lot easier because they are so used to hugging the wall in TA.

there is a reason pvp battle called BATTLE, if someone rub u in the last turn and won, its your fault to let it happen.

That's pretty ignorant, considering that there are some turns where it's impossible to block someone intending to ram you.

Actually I wouldn't call ed 'ignorant' if you have seen his PvP skills. He may be rather average TA wise but ed is argubly the best boost-on PvP player in the whole US. How many people have you seen with 3700 battles and 7700 outruns? Thats averaging over two victories per race and don't forget you lose stars after 2k+ outruns. And on top of it all, he is able to do all that in SoCal, the place where the best players in the whole US gather, so calling him ignorant when it comes to blocking seems rather 'ignorant'.

Anyways to reply to your post, there are only a few turns that are impossible to 'protect' and its very rare that those turns are at the finish line. And we all learned in math that once something becomes so unlikely, we can often discard it (in this case, perhaps one in 100 races will the scenario described in your post occur)

And its not that I am picking on you but your posts are rather 'extreme' and you tend to be so 'literal' at times.

There was once a guy that lived in SoCal and completely dominated everyone at WMMT2 because he went to Taiwan for a few months and played Wangan alot and brought it over to USA. He was the many few that was already hitting 2'51s on C1 Outbound back in the day, unfortunately he retired after that.

Excuse me, now I will praise myself a little bit... tongue.gif
I hugs the wall like mad and zig zags thru traffic like a boy high in whisky and rums and I rarely do TAs and whenever I do TA's I produce shitty times.

I saw someone playing at the local arcade today and the linings he's using are clearly TA linings (a good one, I can say) but then when a R2 is on his line... he went completely "excited" and jerk the wheel like mad and in the end, he hit the R2... Poor boy... sad.gif

Well to whoever this nismo 34 happens to be, i would be glad to meet any players you have with a head on challenge and umm by the way, let me show you my real times.

C1 Inbound: 2'51"352
C1 Outbound: 2'51"161 and i hit 51 at the end of MT2 both C1 directions
NBCCW: 3'32"521 at 720 HP and honestly i dont even do that course
NBCW: 4'32"712, I'm working on it with the R34.
Yokohane Upward: 2'54"909
Yokohane Downward: 2'48"213, haven't worked on this one like in 2 months.
Hanshin Osaka: 3'48"621, and i messed up on the cp3, only .827.
Hakone Inbound: 2'27"5xx, and i don't even do the course.

So whoever the hell you are, I REP SO CAL AND SO DO ALL MY HOMIES, especially Project "X", so if you can beat me and everyone in So Cal, come and show me and you will recieve praise, but until that time comes, i made Project "X" with Chris to show the world that the best in the USA aren't scared to compete. They might be faster than us, but by very very little, so my friend, be my guest, bring your friends, and i'll bring the best So Cal has to offer anytime, anywhere and i can guarantee you, even if you are a little better, you will be struggling to win by meters. shifty2.gif

You Speed, are my hero. Seriously I've always wanted to put TAs, have passion, and that competitive attitude ever since I've seen you.

I actually prefer Boost On cause I'm still improving my lines. Im only about 3-4 secs from the IR times, it may seem sucky, but hey I'm 13. =) And only Boost off when its Hakone, but not against Lenny... hes too fast for me lol

I was calling what he said about it being the person's fault for being rammed ignorant, not himself.

If I had said "you're pretty ignorant", then yeah, fine, but I didn't because he's not, but his comment was.

Get off my case, relax, and read a little closer. You are focusing on me, don't sugarcoat that fact. If you'd chill out and read instead of seeing a word that could potentially mean something bad and immediately call foul on me, you wouldn't have such a big problem.

Its not the lines that matter....hell, even I have as perfect of a line as the pros in HK do in Hanshin and Yokohane UP. Its all about maintaining your speed through the turns that matter, nothing else....

PS, the HKCHP in Seattle is fake....its a clone card for all I know. dry.gif

Ya, there are at least 4-5 major MT3 arcades around.....I believe MT is far more popular here than the likes of ID3/4. At least a few hundred regular MT players I have personally seen.
