I dont know if this is true, but ppl most wangan players in singapore keep twisting the steering wheel left and right vigurously. Supposedly makes the car faster. is it true or is it just a way to make your hands tired more quickly?

its jiggling !! i call it jiggling cos i saw a fat man do it and it freaked me out !!

your not suppose to turn the wheel so much that it moves your cars heaps !!

I believed people started using it in WMT2 and it increases acceleration

What I suspecting they are doing is what's called start-up grips. Usually happens in F1 and as well as some car racing in order to get the tyres heated up ready for the race.

In MT, I don't think it's going to help. I've tried it (both with and without it) and there's absolute no difference in it. I suppose it gets the guys into the mood or to look cool..

nah, actually it slows the car, but you could keep car runs straight with that.

remember highway bump on wangan?
those make your car turns right or left a bit, jiggling help correct that.

Flashing your lights doesn't work.

Twitching the wheel doesn't work for straightaway acceleration, turning is another thing entirely and it does help there.

They're myths that become common-use when impressionnable noobs get persuaded by a few people telling them that x=y when it doesn't.

Another question: I cant seem to grip turn a yellow turn. an example would be the yellow right after the squigly turn on osaka. i always end up drifting that turn and i end up with a crappy exit speed of 270+. I know the theory of that turn: turn right such that the car is parellel to the inside and outside of the turn, once past the turn turn right again so that the car is straght, but whenever i take that turn my car ends up drifting and i cant achieve that theory thingy. If you need to know how i take it to diagnose my problem: turn right and hold the steering wheel, drop from gear 6 to 5 immedietly and ease up after passing the apex. Throttle kept at full.

Benny never twitches during straightaways. Turns, sure, but that actually does help.

Flashing lights was to mock other players, but he'd have to defend himself on that one.

Really, I just think its in there as a "im right behind you, watch out" kind of challenge.

I mean, flashing your lights irl means you wanna race, right? That you've got something to prove.

if you do that too much, the machin ends up breaking, i raced a kid once and beat him by 500+ with boost on and at the end when i finished, he banked the steering wheel hard to the right, and the yellow "call attendant" screen came up and he couldnt get his card.. haha

and for the flashing lights, its just for people who wants the.. "Passing Guy" title

pshcyo..could you be a bit more specific on the squigly turn? or are you referring to the S-turn where you hug right, then left, drop, and drift out? cuz if you're referring to that S turn and coming out @ 270+.. thats friggin fast.. everyone only comes out @ 250.. so my guess is that you're not talking about the S-turn.. and the yellow turn after the S-turn.. all you gotta do is tilt the wheel lightly an drift out, and when u come out..hug the left wall.. dont turn too much, my exit speed is 290..pm me and ill help you out.. i have a pretty fast time on osaka 3'50'280

Well it dosent really work for me. Maybe back in MT2 days it was the craze. But in MT3, its a whole new ball game. Game physics are different. But doing that makes u look like a retard. Seriously..... laugh.gif
