but the shorter gearbox makes the Rotaries deadly on Hakone and almost eliminates our acceleration problem.

You make the 4 gearbox cars sound so deadly even though they aren't Rotaries XD

QUOTE (roxas3 @ 2 hours, 18 minutes ago)
Hakone
C1
Yokohane
New Belt
Nagoya
Osaka
Wangan

I kind of disagree in New Belt being easier than Yokohane as New Belt is mostly straights with the occasional sharp turns compared to Yoko which has some fast bends that needs a lot of practice to keep the speed up without losing too much.

Wow, serious? I always thought that Yokohane is easier than New Belt.

It depends.
If you prefer high speed sharp turns, NBL it is.
easier turns are Yokohane and Wangan.
Wangan is the easiest.

tip for hakone:
limit your gear shift to a maximum of 4th gear... most of the time i use 3rd and 4th.

Yokohane is harder than NBL if you want to be fast on it...
But NBL is harder to get used to than Yokohane...
That's what I think anyway...

JSMs look freakin awesome.

TE37s look nice on FDs and SEs. Are they any good on them?

damn right...JS+M in black dribble.gif fits on my all black FD just perfectly wub.gif

TE37 do look nice on FDs and SEs, but they will never perform as well as JS+M or 57F on these two rotaries.

I'm in 4th most of the time...Apparently that's the trick to prevent your car from sliding too much

not really =.=
sliding is from how you turn, your gas off points etc etc... not because you shift down
its just shifting down kinda stalls the accel for like 0.001 or some shit and then if you do it alot it adds up, and there no real need to shift down on certain corners anyway because its usually always in the powerband for 4th... unless you lose a heap of speed

I don't change so I can have concentration on the race so I only worry about not crashing rather than changing gear. I only change to 3rd on one hairpin (the 2nd i think since its a little uphill). Hakone to small to worry about gear changes. Got told that ages ago now. Overall I try to limit gear changes anywhere.... Just me I guess

The FD is so freaking small if you keep it all stock. You can give a pro R2 a run for his money in a ninja battle.

@BDDEE
Yeah like I said...Apparently...
I used that word cuz I'm not even sure myself lol
But when my friend suggests that to me...my Hakone TA improved by 1 whole second... : \
So I'm kinda leaning towards what I said earlier... tongue.gif

Don't enter a ramfest with an FD man. That's suicide. Use the small size of your car to your advantage and take lines that no GTR or Evo could clear with traffic.

stock aero for FD works fine in DX too. since the FD got heavier compared to MT3. and aero a just helps the FD's acceleration a bit. but to ninja around stock aero is best.
