Well, after browing thru all the topics tat were posted here, i cant find a topic relating to mine.

I decided to make tis poll koz tat i feel tat many MT'ers out there might be experiencing it. Even i myself experienced tis kind of "rush" when a certain OST is played during battle. Especially Phantom Of Blue.

Running Wangan on 4 players and tis OST is blaring behind me gives me this sense of "confidence". Suddenly i become more focused, keep my steering tight with minimal movement.

Battling Yokahane wif Black Pressure as the OST had the same effect on me. Maybe its just the rhythm tats getting me to the groove. Or maybe im goin senile...

For Osaka, its Shrewd Critic. The bass is juz soo unforgiving... Suddenly i become more aggressive. Slamming the all those cars away... Taking their line by force.. Taking no prisoners..

So u guys out there who may have experience this kind of feeling before, do share wif us.. Which track and which OST pumps u up.

Just Flat out

I felt very uneasy when I listen to Evil Association... dunno why... LOL

I'm happiest when "In Your Dream" is playing - has a sense of speed, so I always select that in Ghost Battle or Time Attack mode. Other songs that actually help keep me focused are "Inexhaustible Energy", "Get Down To The Drive", "Wanna Try One last Time", "Get you Cornered", "Control Your Body", and "Phantom of Blue". "Cause You're Different" and "Feel The Moment" are kind of annoying, most of the other songs like "Top-Flight Mechanics" are kinda "hard" on my hearing, "Black Pressure" sounds kinda scary to me, and "Evil Association" makes me want to hightail it out of there.

for me... doesn't affect my driving style... i can't even hear the music sometimes coz of the engine's roar and the other machines running... but i find evil association a good song to drive with... and also the feel the moment

It makes me feel relaxed and concentrated..

I do TA with "Wanna Try One last Time" "Inexhaustible Energy" and "in my dreams"

it only affects my driving style when i'm listening it in my car's stereo...

Phantom Of Blue does really make my hair stands. Just to engrossed into the song lately. Sooo melodic... Too addictive..

on TA that is.

But for anything else, random is good but "Get You Cornered" and "Evil Association" are the tunes I listen to more.

A lot of people listen to "Love to Rise in the Summer Morning" in the various arcades I go to. :\

hmmm i get very focus and have alot fun when hearing this song like "feel the moment","black pressure","get you cornered","top flight mechanic" but i like every song too..juz have fun listening to it...better than initial d songs...

"Love to Rise In The Summer Morning" totally wreck me.. Its kinda a song for sissy's. Too girlish... eeekkk....

not really cause when everytime i do some ghost battle i choose that ost because i felt some relaxation in my mind.. but when i do battling i want to hear up beat gas junkie..

To me, It depends on what race I'm in, then selected the music that suits the scene.


One example:
I am focused/confident in winning in NBL, Osaka, C1, whenever I listen "Get You Cornered"(my favorite song).

Or a "3 teamed up racers gang against me" at Yokohane Outbound, then "Evil Association" would suit me.

Or a mega super battle 1on1 w/ a REALLY tough opponent, "Black Pressure"(2nd favorite song) is my BGM.

Or BGM "Love to Rise in the Summer Morning" suits best for Wangan Outbound at DAYLIGHT, that is "In-the-mood-to-outrun-this-jerk-who-thinks-he's-the-s***-of-all-WMMT-but-actually-he's-a-slowpoke" kind of situation.


I'll keep thinking.....

whats wrong with that when yea on a empty freeway @ dawn blasting to that music?

Usually BGM has no effect on me.. but i do like to listen to a select few of songs only at the start mainly during Battle..

only time BGM bugs me is when my friend doing TA.. chooses "Cause you're different" and sings along with it !!

NO BGM for TA, because i like to listen to the rotary, and the over-rev BEEEEEEEEEP that you can only get from a rotary !!

WMR: Black Bird's Theme + TA Osaka Run = Time to drive.

Get you cornered right.. ?

Running Blue Blazes or Unlawful Temptation on Wangan East while TA-ing makes me the most focused. I always break my records when listening to the above 2 songs.

Depends on what situation I'm playing under...

If I'm cocking about (see shit battling with friends, ie ramming... or playing against a guest that has no idea), then I usually put on Cause We're Different on...

TA's usually have Inexhaustable Energy, In Your Dream, Get Down to the Drive, or Black Pressure (especially on the Wangan Line)....

Battles that I want to have fun in, Feel the Moment, Get You Cornered or Love to Rise in the Summer Morning...

But for somber battles where I know I have no chance but to continue to ride forward (ie I have no chance in winning), I'll do Phantom of Blue...

it depends on my end...if the sound is upbeat i can cut the hairpins with no scratch at all just listening to the music and tapping my left foot(because may left foot has no use at all in WMMT3..haha )

i feel that the music helps me to be in the mood esp black birds theme

i always listen to "Cause you're different" and "Feel The Moment" especially in TA ...
i find that it suits my play style well cos ...
1. i always use a lousy car (Toyota Corolla, Aristo, R2, R33, Eunos Cosmo ... etc)
2. no crazy fella is crazy enough to drive anyone of the above for TA and trying get a leg in ...

Well "Feel The Moment" is only meant in Wangan Line ...
reminding how top-tier cars like the Evos and R32 sux on the Wangan Straights ...
