I thought it would go down that route for a few moments and then realised that it was a TV personality talking to a schoolboy! Did make me wonder for a moment though. Reina is obviously not getting enough action from her car...

Now working on episode 12, which will probably be my last for a bit (sucks). Am aiming for same sort of timeframe as the last one (about a week).

Akio driving the Blackbird. For one, I can't see Tatsuya being okay with that. I wonder if Takagi just said that it was cool. Secondly, getting into a 600hp car you've never driven before and being proficient enough to race at those speeds (and win no less)seems slightly unlikely. Sure, he's a natural driver, but still.

Yeah, yeah, it's just a show. Just sayin!

Anyway, man, Akio shoulda been like 'HOP IN, HOP ON'.

Can't wait for Episode 12...I honestly didn't see much happen in 11 but Aizawa being introduced and Akio driving the Blackbird.

Working as we speak (or type) on the 12th episode. It's all here folks. If the world wants this series they have to get it from here first. We're THE ONE. Gonna be a few days I reckon but keep chi-ged-ee-checkin' back for updates. And if you're brave enough, throw in your 10 cents worth about what you think. This is a forum. Speak up!

Not really much to it. His car is equal or better, so driving the car is no huge shock. If he came from a slower/ softer car, then you can expect a much different result.

Racing on the highway doesn't exactly take that much talent. Now if we were talking about a circuit track, it would require much more familiarity with a car. (Porsche's are a different beast because of the rear mounted engine) Regardless, a driver of high skill would probably figure it out after a few turns.

So far I haven't seen anything saying he is a tremendously skilled driver... its not like Takumi in initial D, you know. (like when he took out his friends AE85 and whooped on that guy talking trash on the car)

Uh, does that mean he's not yet get his hands on 13 episode?

Or does he want to compile all of the episodes in one DVD?

I have to call it too... and agree that it don't take much skill to race on the highway.
Its not like mountain racing or drifting witch take mad skills.
But still, racers are suppose to drive their own cars when they challenge or answer a challenge.

But it is just a cartoon so I guess they have to take some license with reality.
The production values on WME are superior to ID, you its like comparing apples to oranges... you just have to enjoy each for what it is... a 1/2 hrs of cartoons to waste time with.

Except the AE85 and 86 are still the same basic setup, with only minor differences when you get right down to the nitty gritty of it all.



Also, you guys saying racing on highways is easy need to get out more. Try dodging semi's at 120+ once in a while

He only has subtitles that cover up to episode 12, so I guess it would be the first one.

apperantly none of you guys have actually raced on the highway to talk down on it. 150mph+ dodging cars vs 30-40mph curves.

Agreed with the above posts. Although this could probably deserve it's own topic I would like to say that as someone who has done both mountain style driving and freeway driving, stating that highway racing takes less skill would only come from someone who hasn't done it.

Taking corners that are meant for 60mph (or less) at double the speed limit is just like taking a 15mph corner at 30mph. Not only that, but in a circuit course you have for the most part an infinite number of lines you can choose from. On the freeway, that number is severely limited due to traffic. The other problem is being able to calculate distances incredibly fast. At 120mph, a car going 60mph is pretty much a traffic cone. Exponentially worse at higher speeds.

It's not that highway driving is more or less difficult, but it's a completely different kind of driving, and really is hard to compare. But go tell the legends who still live and drive in Tokyo who started racing on the Wangan that they are inferior drivers. lol.

Let me point out that I have two 400hp + cars... a Z32 Twin Turbo and a race prepped Subaru WRX. I can make much more power on either car, except they are tuned safely for 91 octane fuel. (highest in my area)

Also, how many of you have raced rally and circuit? I was street racing 10 years ago, but moved onto legal racing shortly after. Highway and Canyon racing is nothing to brag about. Who hasn't done it?

Oh and the AE85 is NOT the same car as an AE86, especially in Takumi's case... it is essentially the difference between a Lancer and an EVO.

So, are you going to continue with it after that? Just wondering. I have my hands full in daily life also. so it doesnt matter how long it takes as long as it gets done. Ive been lurking for a few months now so i decided to join And, if your tied down like i am by the old ball and chain i understand why it would take so long to get an ep out haha.
