QUOTE (Skylox @ Sep 17 2008, 02:48 PM) | I'm a big fan of the R32 GTR. I own one currently and i absolutely love this car. I never knew grip like this until I drove it. Godzilla FTW!
It's going to be a tough decision on keeping this car or going to an R34 in the future.
Runners up would have to be Rx7's, Evo's, and S30's. |
I would keep the BNR32, and keep the classic alive ...

I'm an "average person" when it comes to cars - I only know they get me to where I want to go if I pour in fuel and get myself driving lessons. My exposure to them barely goes beyond what I see on the local roads and through mass media, especially PC games. Within this limited scope of familiarity with cars, I would have to say that my favorite car - and arguably the most influential car for me - would have to the DeLorean DMC-12. I don't own a car, but if I did, simple economics dictates that I would have to buy a sedan or a van (such is the price of family, lol). But if I had limitless resources with which to pursue a personal dream of vehicular ownership, I would definitely be looking to claim one of these DeLoreans for myself, like the woman in the picture did. I doubt I'd be able to afford the price she paid for hers, but hey, if the new DeLorean Motor Company does start making these cars again, as it says in this FOX News article, then maybe in another decade or so, I'd be able to afford my own 2009 or 2010 DeLorean. After all, nothing's stopping me from hoping that my rich and powerful future self would arrive at my doorstep and leave me a note telling me how much I would need to save starting today, lol. I wonder: just how much does a Flux Capacitor cost? This post has been edited by Rad on Sep 20 2008, 01:06 AM

Well, my favorite cars...hmm...haha...why did someone make a thread like this? It's torture! How about by drivetrain? FF - Honda Civic Type R (EK9) - I've always liked the style of the EK9 Type R. Don't know why. I just do. And although truthfully I'm no fan of front-wheel-drive cars, I think this car would be something I'd get. MR - Lamborghini Countache - Well, it's just one of those cars, you know? Looks great, sounds great...but you probably won't ever drive it. My uncle likes 'em too. Maybe car tastes run in the family? Haha...I really just like the sound. Lancia Stratos - Famous rally car. When I was little, I loved how it was so different from all of the other rally cars. So sleek and tiny. The louvres over the rear window, the grill on the hood...and the cool-looking windshield. Just always liked it. AWD - Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec II (BNR32) - My friend loves his, and frankly, I like it too. Looks menacing, and IS pretty menacing. Not the greatest car in the world, expecially since I don't like AWD's for racing (for my own reasons), but man! It's still an awesome car to look at. And listen to. FR - Datsun 240Z (S30) - Style is flawless. Performance was pretty darn good too. With the things people do to them today, they're pretty fast now too! I'm hoping to get a '70 model and paint it a sort of dark candy apple color. Maybe swap a nice engine in and go all out. By "all out" I of course mean tuning. Weight reducing and suspension and strengthening rollbars and everything. I'm going to be a professional racer one day. I'd love to have a great car for the roads and for fun as well. Keep me in shape! Toyota Trueno GT-Apex (AE86) - Just so you know, I've liked them even before I saw Initial D. And not because they're great drifting cars either. I kinda liked the simple look. The hatchback was my favorite. I first saw the car on Gran Turismo 2...I still remember. Ahh...memories. Anyway, they're cheap and reliable, and thanks to Initial D, they're famous too! RR - Volkswagen Beetle '63 - Truthfully? I'm a "Love Bug" fan. Also, I love the look of the car. It's just different. The curves are so elegant and...well, the car is pretty much just one big curve! I love cars with nice curves. This car's like curve paradise. Cars I have a soft spot for: Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A - It's Haruhi's car! Plain and simple! Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec (BRN33) - I like them for some reason. Jaguar E-Type Coupe - English style and elegance meets performance! In the '60's! But if you told me to pick one out of all of these, I'd say the S30 is my car of choice. This post has been edited by fettman53 on Sep 28 2008, 03:27 PM

QUOTE (Force Fed Mopar @ Today at 3:59 AM) | WTF is FMR? Forward midship? That's still classified as a FR |
I'm not too sure about that, especially ever since Infiniti has been using the term in their G35 ads ...
