Me too, although I think I've probably at least heard of every car out there, or at least every sports car.

They do have a certain amount of complication to them, but parts expense and rarity is the main problem.

Hard to work with, weak transmission, gimmicky/unreliable electronics, parts availability/small aftermarket support, HEAVY.

But oh so beautiful, comfortable... I loved mine to death, too bad it had to go.

Just letting you know what you'd have to put up with. Like I said, I loved the car. I'd buy a VR4 if I could.

Yeah, pretty much. I'd actually not completely agree with the tranny statement, a friend of mine autox'd his Stealth R/T TT with 550awtq (he never talked about hp, it is autox, after all) on the stock tranny, never had a problem.

If you want the cheap Mitsu AWD route, just pick up a DSM. It's got one of the largest available aftermarkets and it's cheap to make fast, even reliably. It also won't weigh 4000lbs.

Or, if you still want something with the VR-4 badge, look into a 91-92 Galant. Ultimate sleeper.

Well, maybe the Getrag transmission fairs better. I didn't have one, cause I had an SL. But before someone says "Well than wut r u talking sh*t bout VR4 than n00b?!11one!?", the cars still share a lot of the same characteristics. And since the SL has less moving parts/no turbos/less electronicatry, Murphy's law favors it.

hmm, maybe I might just get a 3000GT in the future then. They are pretty cheap nowadays ~5k-10k. However, its mostly a dream for me right now, lol. How much does the active aero on the 1st gen actually affect anything at all?

Some... but really, its mostly a gimmick. Then again, I don't really have any numbers for you. I'd imagine it helps about as much as the newer 911's retracting spoilers do.

That's not hard, though. The Talon felt stable this morning at 135 on the way to work, even with the body's complete lack of downforce.
