Turbo II RX-7 is the first car I ever drove.

My mom's boyfriend back in 1991 had a brand new one. I was a little bastard back then. And I got to sit in his lap and steer as he drove it. I was like OMG THIS IS THE GREATEST CAR EVER.

Fell in love since then. I bought an FC years ago, with a blown apex seal. Rebuilt it, and sold it for my current FC. I've put about $9,000 into my FC, not counting what I paid for it. If not more. About to buy new suspension too. laugh.gif

As for my FD, I am about to get ahold of a Spirit R spoiler and bumper, and fenders. I dunno if the fenders will fit. But I'll make it work. After I get it painted with the engine and everything thrown back together, I'll take a ton of pictures. I considered a 20b swap. But I wanna keep my 13bREW. I was thinking about getting RX8 seats though, I love those things.

The Spirit R Fenders are the same as the regular FD fenders. The Bumper is the same as the 99 - 02 FD3Ss. Same with the Lip, Flash to pass lights, 99 - 02 Rear wing, and 96+ Tail-lamps.

It is easier to swap a 20B into an FC rather than an FD, mainly because the subframe needs to be modified to fit a 20B in an FD. Relatively speaking it bolts right in, in an FC. But, i prefer the 13B-REW to a 20B for a daily driven street car anyday too.

You can check out the new R3 Package Rx8 Seats (they are recaro reclinables), but i prefer the black type RZ carbon recaros. They cost about the same in the end.

Is your FD roller a base, touring, pep, or R1/R2?

Hum, I've heard something about the later FD front bumpers not fitting well with the earlier FD's because of fenders or something. I dunno, the only guy I know that owns an FD around here has a kit on it. Maybe I was misinformed though. That'd make things easier for me. laugh.gif

Yeah, that R3 8 is nice, the seats are heaven. I've not really decided what I'm gonna do as far as that goes, I just really like the rotor accents on the seats of the 8. As for my FD, it's an R1. Completely stock. Gonna more or less stay that way, aside from suspension, and small reliability mods.

Or maybe I should throw some super sweet nyooonz on there. Naw jk

A nice complete R1 (even though it has a blown/no motor) is a good find.

I would recommend getting rid of the stock downpipe with the pre-cat on it (it tends to overheat the wires causing a mess). Since it the FD is a MAP Sensor based car, you need to either upgrade to a High Pressure type MAP Sensor, and if you do enough mods, a Power FC. Also check your original AST (air separator tank), if its dark brown/green, it needs to be changed to an aluminum one (cheap upgrade).

I have a ton of relationships with all the rotary shops in japan (usually between 10-30 percent discount on certain aftermarket/upgrade parts). So PM me if you need/want anything (i usually do not mind helping other rotary guys out).

Shoot up some pictures when you can. Where are you located.

I'm out in North Carolina half of the year.

The other half of the year is spent in Chiba and Tokyo. As well as Kyoto every once in a while. laugh.gif Since my girlfriend is from Chiba and likes to visit home often. Yeah, I'll get some pictures up when I throw the engine back in. Everything is really clean. I'm thinking about just repainting it at the moment though. I dunno really though, I'm not much for planning ahead, I'm more of a spur of the moment kinda guy. At any rate, much appreciated. I remember seeing a lot of your pictures and videos from the last time you were in Japan on RX7club. 4 rotor goodness. mmm.

Favorite car?...hmm...

Realistically (something feasible for me to buy at the moment): either an Audi TT or a Porsche Cayman (Heh! I could be another Blackbird...)

Dream car: Maserati MC12 Corsa (preferrably the Edo-tuned variant)

I'm a big fan of the R32 GTR. I own one currently and i absolutely love this car. I never knew grip like this until I drove it. Godzilla FTW!

user posted image

It's going to be a tough decision on keeping this car or going to an R34 in the future.

Runners up would have to be Rx7's, Evo's, and S30's.

Would not trade this:

For the one behind it.

That's like asking me to trade my wife for a younger, smarter and sexier girl. Besides, less people seem to lust over the 32... and I'm the jealous type. shifty2.gif
