QUOTE (jordeeeezy @ Today at 8:12 AM) | and next you wanna tell me that dress up parts dont affect the performance of the cars either?? right?? cuz it says here in the namco site "* Dress-up parts do not affect the performance of your car."
dress up parts --found at the bottom under the subarus
so if you agree that dress up parts DO NOT affect the car performance like the namco site says then i'll agree with everyone else and say nor does the color of the car.
"Changing the body color also changes the atmosphere of the car, giving you extra motivation to drive!!" as whack as it sounds. it does more than it says. so i believe that car color has much to do with the performance of the car as much as dress up parts do. and im saying ALL dress up parts. neon, rims, sticker, all that.
car color
and thats my argument. the darker the color (black), the heavier it is. more of a battle type car. the lighter the color (white), the lighter the car. more of a TA type car

Confusion +1. I ain't playing God with my opinion(s), dude; besides, I got enough trouble just looking at the site - the English translations come out workable enough, I just gotta work around it because the order's half ass-backward and semi-vaguely worded.
Besides, with "lighter n' brighter=faster", that's really not gonna work for me. If the lightest color (aside from white) happens to be a really plasma-neon green, I'm probably gonna puke since I like to put matching neons and decals with the body color. Why'm I gonna puke? Certain color combinations got a real bad way of f***ing around with my balance - and my nose being not too far from the screen don't help any! Blue mixes don't seem to have any effect on me, but I found plasma green (bright green body, white-green flame2, green neon) and grape (dark purple, pink-purple flame 2, purple neon) to have a real drastic effect on me when I use them. ---- I just saw marbleberry's sig in another thread here: it's got a purple skyline, probably a 33. Lemme tell you I got no problem with what people decide to use (it's their choice), but that shade of purple kinda makes me sick. That's a medical reason, not opinion - opinion is it works, just not as well.

QUOTE (fuji* @ Jul 29 2008, 02:44 AM) | Im going to agree here. Everything BESIDES Neon underglows affect the car. In every aspect of the car, including wing, body kit, rims, sticker and color all matter in this game. Pink is the best color for the Evo 8 in general, where as red is suppose to be the best color for the Evo 9. Everything (besides underglows once again) matter in this game. If your skilled enough, you will notice the differences in handling, acceleration, and top speed.
I own a bunch of cards and each one handles differently as well as acceleration handing and overall top speed when used with different dress ups. After that, it just matters on the person's skill level to notice any subtle differences. |
even underglow makes a difference man...

theres some odd debate out there somewhere about how different neons have different effects. ultimately, PURPLE neons make the most significant effects, basically just balancing
