2 hands because whenever i use 1 hand to drive i tend to oversteer in that direction like if i drive 1 hand with my right i tend to ovesteer a lil towards the right, it doesnt affect my battles, but in TA it does. and having 2 hands on the wheels helps me get closer to walls and do better lines during battle/TA.

2 hands on the wheel, since I'm not the type who shifts every 50m.
Sometimes I even shift using my right hand... laugh.gif

1 handed (1 hand on wheel, 1 on gear stick)

Theres also one more class of people.. who drive auto... have one hand on the wheel, and one hand hanging limply by his side...

Looking just like a gangbanger sitting low in their chair with one hand on the top of the wheel.

Well, I use both hands, and the only time I use one hand is when I have to change gears, and quickly put my hands back on the wheel, and when my opponent is many meters away and I'm a second away from reaching the finish line.

Hakone with a 6 gear car is one of the only times I know of when practically a whole course gets done one handed... That said. what's the point of this thread? Are you guys just bored? Other than intellectual curiosity is there any practical reason for knowing how many hands people use? Well ... I like using 3 hands... So there.tongue.gif

Always two hands.

Gears on the left side, left hand goes out for a quick shift and back onto the steering wheel ^^

Like Signition says: Two hands anytime (whenever possible) - it gives maximum control. My exception to it is Hakone/Osaka because there's only so much straightaways, and the Osaka ones are rarely chosen (I've actually gotten a super-annoying first-right-turn donut!).

AUTO: Both hands
MANUAL: Both hands (straight); one hand per wheel/shifter (turns)

Also important: it also helps in how you grip the wheel. I tried other folks' one-hand-per method (left hand around wheel tubing, right on shifter), but found it didn't help because it made over-steering way too easy and successfully counter-steering properly a pain to achieve. The cut-pie grip I use works far better for some reason.

I only use one hand, simply because it's how I always drive. To change that just feels awkward to me, and that's when the problems start happening.
