Are your spoiler tags at the beginning AND end of what you want hidden? It looks like the [] [/] are both being put at the beginning.

Seems that you need to remove the quotes marks, because:

Using spoiler tags does not alter the number of lines that your sig can be. It's ten lines. You've got way more than ten lines in your sig, so please reduce it to ten lines.

kei1621, check the other thread you asked that question in.

Guess I'll use this existing thread to announce the little change regarding signature. Effective immediately, spoiler tags will no longer functions in signature. It was never intend to be used in signature anyways. If you have a large amount of text hidden inside spoiler tags in your signature, now it's the time to either get rid of it entirely, or reduce the lines you have so that it doesn't violate the forum rules. Thanks for your cooperation.

Spoiler tags never worked in signature ? I assure you it did. But it only worked for the first post of the user that uses the tags. It has to do with how the spoiler tags and signatures are parsed. All spoiler tags are assigned with a unique element ID that tells it to either show or hide. However, signatures are only parsed once in a topic view. Therefore, only the very first post from a particular user containing the spoiler tags will work and the subsequent ones won't work because they all have the same element ID.

With that said, I don't know any way to enforce a width limit to signature other than implementing iframe to the signature field and that is going to look very ugly. Not to mention it'll be extremely hard to moderate signature because people can hide a lot of images inside that iframe and it won't show anything beyond a certain width limit. You'll sitting there wondering what is still loading in the thread when everything seems to be already loaded.

well...
yeah, it worked, but... not really.

So we'll prolly just report guys with overly large signatures then? Rather than implementing programming....

I am afraid there are no any other open options. Plus, we can never enforce the file size limitation on the images. Yes, we do have a file size limit to the image in sig, but that always get overlooked. pinch2.gif
