this. hard. r33 gts-t used to be the lebo car of choice like 3 years ago, they're less common now. but they are pretty good value. i know for you guys (usa) its like OMG SKYLINE but to us, it's not that big a deal unless it's a clean ER34/4 door or a GT-R. Even GT-R is not that rare here now.

because i cant legally drive turbo/supercharged/V8 until June 2014.

im not buying a non turbo skyline or other import because that just seems like a bad plan. 4 door car is way more practical for me, can use it for work, also 4 doors for more whores :3

Ever considered one of these?

Stylish, economical, reliable, and safe. You can pick up first generation pre-facelift (2001-2004) models for very cheap. The gas mileage is great on the non-turbo models...mine costs only $40-$50 US to fill up, and I only have to go to a gas station every other week. Though, I have a short commute.

The one I ended up getting was a pretty basic one, but I looked at others that had more options (like leather, wood trim, and sunroof) for around the same price. I would have gotten one of those, but the one I got was only 5 miles from my house; the others were about 20-30.

LOL 18K FOR A NON TURBO SUPRA! OMG AHAHAHHA. you can get nonturbo supra's here for like .... ~10k, maybe 15k TOPS for a nice condition manual etc.

about the license thing, yeah sorta...

@GT3RS/general talk

cars in america are cheap generally. volvos are nice and safe and quiet etc, but toyota is reasonably safe and reliable too. servicing and parts for any euro built cars is ridiculous here to the point where it's almost worth not even buying the car.

and for my first car i want something that IF I crash (or someone crashes into me) it's not like the end of the world because my 15-20k car has been written off and i dont have comprehensive insurance or whatever. it's just silly to spend a lot on your "first" car imo. i mean, i've driven my parents' cars a lot (2000 pajero & 2002 rav4) and they're great, reasonably reliable and not too bad to drive.

@grimsolace

errrrr not really? :\ lol. that's because of emissions standards, and you CAN drive those anyway because they're older than a certain year. you just need to convert it to unleaded petrol, or use fuel additive or whatever, but i'm pretty sure it's unleaded anyway.
