@Kona:
Sorry dude. Talked to Landon about WMMT3 long, long ago. He lost passion for the game. Moved on.

@Weirdo:
I KNOW YOU!
I won't say who you are because you might not want people to know, but I KNOW YOU!

Wanted to battle some more after my first two races that morning; problem is, the guys on there were either folks who'd either easily leave me behind or "Battle Rejects"; which left me almost no choice but dress-ups and Story Mode. Basically put, that's a helluva disproportional cost/reward ratio.

ELMO (I think - the kid w/ the scraggly brown hair) showed up. Thought he was gonna screw me up, but he ended up jostling someone else's chair and breaking the focus of two players (the jostled one included). That aside, he was unusually calm (or mild, depending on PoV) - which I don't consider a good thing...
Inside of MT or out, he's one bag of trouble...

Man. Everyone at Pearlridge is too fking scared. Oh. Don't enter the tournament everyone. Spread the word. They're just trying to find ways to make more money off of us ever since they got raided for the Tic-Tac-Fruit games.

The reason I say this is because when Tic-Tac-Fruit was around, they RARELY paid attention to us dedicated gamers, even people like me that's been going there 7+ years. It's been half a year since the joysticks and buttons on the CvS2 machine has been broken, and all of a sudden they fix it 2 days after they have been raided. Now that their precious cash cow is gone, they look to us for financial support even after they have looked away at us dedicated gamers.

Please everyone. Do not enter.

i coulda told you that. but max tune is no longer worth battling. everyone jus ghost races becuz they can force quit if they are close to losing. thats it. they are 2 scared and don't have the balls. if anything, ghost races ruined the battle scene for max tune. kids are thinking it is a way to prove they are better than the king by jus riding the crap out of the line. sorry but im over the whole king crap now and jus went to tas.

Hell yeah dude. Before the first week of WMMT3 I was over Ghosts. I knew it was dumb. You made a point about it ruining the battle scene though. I wish it were Max Tune 1 & 2 days again. On 1 we didn't know what the hell we were doing and would gladly race 680hp against 760hp. On 2 we started knowing what we were doing and were balls off the wall with battles! Near the ending of 2 and the coming of 3 everyone is being a pussy. I still don't get what people are trying to prove playing Ghost Battles all day long. It's horrible. Even worse though, now that DX is coming out, they have a new reason to play Ghost Battles because you get "coins" for every win you get on Ghost Battles. Now everone is going to be refusing. I think that's one of the main reasons why I've quit. I love doing TA's, don't get me wrong. But I miss having REAL battles. I miss having a REAL challenge. Everyone would go everywhere at least ONCE to go and challenge people in a new area and it was fun.

Blah. So sad right now. I'm so bored now that I don't play this game... well I play a few times in the month, but that's about it...

Again. Please don't enter the tournament happy.gif

Funs at pearls for a $1.50 is a good deal, especially if you want to play metro, but Tilt is still better for renewing cards. $1 to renew. I wish they didn't take off the free games. I just played the FNF bike game for all my free games on Suday happy.gif I own that game XD

i saw these fliers come out about this wmmt3 tourny at FF. and about money and crap. and then it doesnt tell specific rules. and some guy named neko thinks he is all badass putting his name in one of the people to contact for signing up, and plus, he aint good at all. just a scam to get money.

I second that - he came up to me with the idea, kinda put me on the spot. The whole arrangement seems almost like the last two tourneys (including the non-existent 2nd), if not much different than a few details.

If I'm not mistaken, the last two were "every man for himself", meaning "4 players enter, 1 player wins = 3 players get off"; with the teams thing, it's "4 players enter, 2 players win = 2 players get off". It might be a little unfair towards other players by skill level since it also means fewer players rotating and 1 team can literally hog the machine all day and leaving only two stations available for use (and it being likely that they'll probably refuse) - something that was complained about for/at the last Power Sunday.

honestly, all of the tournaments at any of the fun factorys have been only to get more profit for the store. i remember the first tourney out at mililani. they changed the rules last minute after we had the first elimination. we thought we had the final three and then i forgot who said that there was gonna be another bracket for the losers. i was so pissed becuz eventually all of the top 3 from the single elimination got cheated out by the lucky asses who won the double elimination bracket. moral of the story here is that we should hold our own independent tournament away from the fun factorys. of course itd be hard to find an honest place to hold a tourney. just my little blurb on the whole tourney thing.

and weirdo, the tokyo whipping charts are uber hard. im just used to the great escape whipping charts. maybe later i mite head down to pearlz on a saturday nite to check you guyz out.

Well we can make our own tournament. I'm sure we can host it at funs, but we just can't tell THEM about it. They might try and take a cut out of the winnings.

I say we have a double elimination 1v1 tournament. 32 player cap, although I highly doubt 32 players will come to play. So I'm guessing 16 will be a good number. $5-$7 entry fee. ALL entry fee goes to the winning pot. The pot will be divided for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 70%, 20% and 10% respectively. Since we have four machines, it should make the tournament decently fast.

As for deciding which courses will be played, I thought about having all courses with evey route in a bag and having players flip a coin to see who chooses. They will pick the course randomly in the bag. Then the course gets taken out of the bag so that it doesn't get repeated. If we don't have enough courses, then we can put the courses back in the bag and repeat. ALSO another rule for Osaka. For fairness, you can not go through the same route TWICE. You must go a different route everytime you make a loop. For example, when you first start, someone chooses the left route. When you make the loop back to that area again, you have to take the right route. Same for other places. I thought about this just for fairness.

One race. Winner goes winners bracket, loser goes loser bracket.

That's what I propose.

thatd be interesting. if it was at pearlz, we could do the tourney in half the time. 2 battles could be going on at the same time. the problem with this is just finding enuff people to enter and be able to make it to the tournament.
