EPIC WIN...

You know when I heard of Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3 DX, I immediately though of: "The Legend of Zelda: Links awakining DX" for gameboy color. LAWL.

though you gotta think, if they had the new GTR, wouldnt (and im not trying to be too stereotypical here) ALL the wogs out there get it? and of course, the new battle course... sigh...

One thing that doesn't really fit though...
These really new cars like the EVO X will be contradictory to the Wangan Midnight timeline won't it?

I would certainly like to see new inclusion of cars that are produced in the late 90's and early 2000's...something like the Toyota MRS maybe?

then again, does anyone in the timeline use an R2? i don't think so.

maybe in the 'new' story, there will be a secret battle where Gatchan uses a R2... on wangan...

As someone who has played the Nagoya course of TXR3, I hope to God that the Nagoya course in this game is the bigger loop, not the small-ass Kanjou loop that, if used, will lead to people overplaying it until I decide "f@ck this" and swear off VS mode forever.

I had the same thoughts too.

I'm very much of a purist when it comes to this sort of thing and would love ideally for all the cars in the game to be featured in the manga at some point in time.

I had this discussion with BDDEE@ also and I was under the impression the Initial D games were like this, but there are cars there too which are not featured in the manga such as Evo7.

Otherwise you might aswell just call it Maximum Tune without the Wangan Midnight.

Hope that I don't have to do dressup mode all over again. And I also hope that we bloody get this new version of MT and it's not some Japan exclusive thing

thats practically one of the biggest issues that lots of people worry about...

IMO this beta would fail because all people really want are the new cars/courses and better graphics

lol yeah, and also the idea of certain arcades having this new version and some not/cbb/dontknow how.

Well, the Gemballa Avalanche is 5xx~6xx hp in stock and they still can still put it into the game (japanese MT3) and it's downgraded to 300hp/stock. So I do not know the rationale behind not putting the new Godzilla in this DX version...

BandaiNamco cares much more about arcadey gameplay and lots of cars than they do about the Wangan Midnight manga. This is a money business, folks! It's about getting you saps to spend your chump change in their pockets! This is not about being faithful to a mango!

If you care about the manga, I suggest you get the Wangan Midnight PS3 game. It's infinitely more faithful, only features cars that appear in the manga, and is a billion times more visually appealing.

Just don't expect it to play like an arcade game, because it doesn't.

agree, i hope Nagoya course have bigger loop like in TXR3

if there are new stories, doesnt that mean new cards as there arent currently enough spaces for more completion thing-dots-stars-triangle-square.

i dno why everyone is asking if there card will be transferred over
if you read the thread...nomake translated it and confirmed that our current cards will be able to transfer over in the final version....
maybe i should add this to first post =.=

It is possible that the new GT-R could be in it but I have my doubts as it already starts off with 480hp...unless they pull the same trick as they did for the Avanlanche...

I hope this game has english version too
