Selective colouring does not work at close range.

The owner of a local Ferarri dealership drives a Veyron... among many many other cars.

They're very similar in performance but I'd still say an equivalent stock Lan Evo is going to be a little more razor sharp than an same generation STI. They're not as comfy for daily living. It's a subtle difference but I think the lancers are a bit stiffer... which is probably why they die faster too.

QUOTE (HateSkylines @ Today, 8:24 AM) | I dunno why people get so wound up about it, in the end they are the same car and perform the same. I know the difference between a Inline 4 and Boxer 4, but still. |
Inline 4s are easier to work on, not to mention they don't sound broken from the factory.
The EVO is stiffer than the STi, the STi for the longest time was still based on the 94 Chassis when the EVO got a brand new chassis every 3 models. The EVO is definitely more focused for tarmac road racing from the factory.
Hence the EVO wins as a better "performance" car.
When it comes to track racing it boils down to driver, alignment, tires and brakes.

That's what I thought. I've driven ass loads of both cars and I still think as a driver I felt better with a Evo but as a commuter I liked the STi.
Slightly back on topic for anyone in So Cal- I'll either be hitting up Supercar Sunday or a monthly GT-R Yogurtland meet in Arcadia on Sunday if anyone feels bad enough to tough it out to there.

Exactly, but if I was getting a commuter I would buy a Turbo Legacy over an STi anyday.
