Then you realized that they are really f**king shitty?

I hope you did at least. 'Cause they are.

How bad are they?

One of my uncles had a white 944.

Maintenance is ass on these cars if you don't know what you're getting into.

They're a fun car to drive if they're driving well though. Also great to compete in stock trim within their class.

That is my opinion and your mileage may vary of course.

One of the local autox guys crankwalked one. laugh.gif

He was posting on the forums about a clutch issue he noticed at one event, and I was like "Hmmm, sounds like crankwalk", and he was like "WTF no way". Needless to say he wasn't too happy when he found out I was right.

I suspect you made a deal with the DSM grim reaper, in exchange for your crank you use your powers to walk everyone's crankshafts around you sparing yours. lol . I kid... or not....

I've been wanting to post something on topic for the longest time but my internet at home has been completely messed up and I can't have my car pics here at work. sad.gif

I don't think I did... I haven't signed anything in blood (or engine oil) in recent memory...

I just think that I'm around unlucky people. The Honda was a built D-series, and the freeze plug in the head popped off, relieving the motor of sufficient oil pressure. We don't know why the 944 walked, and ironically, non of the local DSM guys have had issues with cranks in the past few years.

And couldn't you have Bmw post pics for you?

First I've ever seen that looks good, and I'd *love* to get one for my '78, since it's going to be seeing a pisston of nighttime driving on empty roads.
