Ironically, I know a guy selling his for $21k only 3 years old. But the guy has a bad history with cars (and taking care of them). Has a cooked clutch. But to be honest, I find the evo clutch to be a bit less forgiving than others. My gripe with evos is that their turning radius sucks monkey balls

My gripe with LanEvos is that everybody owns one, those and the Subarus. But, I worked at Subbie and I own one so Im nicer about them.
Imprezas are just as bad as LanEvos. |

The Evo clutches are a b*tch. It's possible to overextend the fork and pop the throwout bearing off the pressure plate. Mitsu has yet to issue a recall for it, despite it being a fairly well-known issue. TurboXS actually makes a clutch fork stopper, but they charge $120 for it.
Most of the people I know who own Evos are ex-DSM people who moved up to something that's better out of the box, and almost all of them are making over 300awhp. The reason you see so many Imprezas is that they're great daily drivers. I'd never buy even an STi to race it, but I'd DD one in a second over the Talon. |

the clutch i had on my 9 was super shit. coming out of my driveway i would smell it burn almost daily. partially because teh car was so low so I would have to slow way down to get out and hope that it wouldnt die on me up hill. but that shit was weak lol
