Phew..... whistling.gif I've finally cleared chapter 19.But I have a problem with chapter 20 now.....How I hate that 'blackbird' pinch2.gif  pinch2.gif

Refresh my memory - what transmission are you using again?
    Notes for if you're using
  • AUTOMATIC: check your wheel-handling and footwork. Next to keeping your car pointed away from walls, counter-steering and proper pedal application are absolutely critical.
  • MANUAL: check your wheel-handling, footwork, and shifting. On top of the above, make sure you're shifting right - sometimes this is best done w/ a seasoned WMMT player observing.
----
In the meantime...
I've taken my friend's accel tip by hitting the second mark inside the redline; it's improved my perf a lot, but I still find myself falling back on speedpoints around turns and out of habit.
Still working on it, tho...

Only solid advice I can give is that accel tip in my last post, but I'm fairly sure accel isn't your problem. If you're still having problems, please give a fairly detailed explanation.

Tried Auto on Hakone yet? Might not be so boring.
------------------------------
I downshift at times when I need to a little bit of handling or urgently need to slide around things.

For the record, I have a difficult time managing Hakone on Manual, and 5-gears are a nightmare to me (for having done 6-gears for so long).
Did manage to note guesstimated speedpoints on the Evo5 for gears 3-5: 160>260>307.

Weird...

technically the best way to play well when using MT...

is to shift as little as possible..

so you wont really be slamming and shifting gears
