Yo Gunma. About the post in the GT5 thread.

Seiji needs AYC because, well, as an Evo master, I bet he needs his Evo to be, well, Evo-like.

Do be patient though...since Day 2 is rather long, it'll take longer than expected.

Gunma, I do hope Day 1 script is good for you now. smile.gif

"Rock hard? Ehh…I dunno. Tell him to try some of the following with the Evo:
> stiff front spring rates (11.0 - 13.0)/ soft rear (minimum- X2 of that) with ARB at 1/7
> negative rear toe of -0.50 (though be weary of the fact that it will be bloody twitchy at high speed
> Positive ride height of around +10 or more

That's all I can think of…and tell him not to ever install a chassis brace thing. It causes understeer."

It's a mechanical LSD tune too so if it still won't satisfy you then I'll say lrn2drive4wdcars.

Onboy123 asks a question.

Hey, mind if you ask your mate Myogi if he minds me borrowing the 'Ghost 86' name for my 86 tune? Just tell him it's a bit of plugging for him as well.

Before you ask, he's also a part-time tuner in a tuning garage different from RKM.

Sounds interesting enough...I'd like to see the settings done to the Ghost 86 myself if you don't mind...

What's the setup for the 86? Did you happen to have the details somehow, !mma_N00b? smile.gif

well OK, if Rin says it's ok, then yeah it's fine by me.

The Ghost 86 still needs some work. Seeing as the new Online car dealership is more on the 80's JDM, 86 cars included both Levin and Trueno, I don't see why won't he do a tune for it.

For visual starters,
Black 86
TE37 brown

*sorry rin, the Yokohama 3-spokes aren't available. I think GT5 made it exclusive for only the Genki Silvia.

Things to work on the 86:
transmission - the top speed is superb but is extremely slow off the line and I mean EXTREMELY SLOW.
Suspension is a bit drifty but controllable. If Onboy can do a more responsive drift setting that can be good for circuits too, then I want to see his outcome as well.

If he has the Shuichi Shigeno Version, then same things-to-work-on apply too.

Brown TE37's...? I duped Onboy123 an AE86 with the black JS+M's or whatever those 5-spokes are.

Ok, since madnoob is utterly useless at getting the point across (tongue.gif), I'll clarify something for you right now.

The sole reason, the sole, main, only reason for it stalling off the line in the low gears is the slicks you're using. Slicks being the racing soft tyres. If you really want to improve the off-the-line acceleration, take the tyres down to something reasonable for 270hp, like sport soft tyres. Worried about a lack of grip? Run with SRF on, no one's going to notice if you don't mention its use.

So... Tire compound also affects acceleration, huh? Won't that be a dangerous thing on going through corners on full gas? I've tried a setup like that with 4wds for easy drifting but Sports + Racing slicks combo... won't that, I dunno...

Ah well, I'll test your theory out in a moment when I connect my PS3.

Sure it may hurt but race softs are overkill anyway.

I'll dupe my current settings to another set then have that other set with Onboy123's additions.

[ Post merged on Mar 2 2012, 05:42 AM ]
wait, so Onboy123 now has the 86 gifted from you, !mma_N00B? So Onboy, any feedback on the current setting when you first got it?

Very much so, the racing tyres not really necessary unless you have something like a 800hp R34, and even then, it could be said that they're overkill, leave alone the little 86s microscopic engine. Ghost or not, it won't be going particularly fast off the line with those tyres.

Eh, not really, me and umadson? (or rather, since we're on here, immanoob) do that all the time. If you really are scared of crashing hideously, run with SRF on, as I said. It's the grip cheat button on GT5, so…yea.

Enough GT5 talk though, when's it out? I wanna watch it! Nao! biggrin.gif

The only thing I'm hoping from Gunma is that he would get used to the Emperor's handling for once.
