Tribute to TXR3's WEST Corvette.

GOOD NEWS:

Dunno what's gotten into me, but apparently I managed to draw this scene for Day 4 which is actually a scene of Tsubasa talking with Arashiko and Chiaki on Chiaki's house.



I'd go into more details later on for this one scene. Especially with you, Gunma.

Tablet's drawing pen is broken after I done drawing this...the internal chip board snapped into half apparently...so the pen is now rendered useless, unless I find a replacement tomorrow, there'd be NO drawings from me until then.. T_____T

Are those stuff expensive?

I dunno but apparently the CTE-450 compatible model (The one I am using) costs around $25.00 on online price.

So I dunno how much it'll cost me in RM currency. Hopefully my salary pay is enough to get me a cheap but reliable replacement on a computer shop nearby. >_<

I guess I went too extreme with drawing today that I managed to snap my own pen internally...

while waiting for the 25 dollars, why not go traditional pencil-on-paper for the meantime? at least you can do something while waiting for the money to come.

By the way... I'd like you to watch this 40-minute documentary about RUF, because I have an idea for Chiaki. It's that I'd like to see from her that she have met Alois Ruf Jr. a few times and all that. Alois Ruf's customers are more than customers, he says, and I want that to apply to Chiaki :3

Since this will eventually appear anyway, I am deciding to share this battle scene of Day 4 progress.

Seiji Vs Tsubasa (with Chiaki + Arashiko & Katerina following up as spectators later on)

*The scene shows the parking area on the road of Yokohane area. The camera shows the clear night sky of the metropolitan city as it fades back to the parked cars near the road, revealing it being the Evo VIII and AE86* **The camera then shows Tsubasa and Seiji started facing each other** Tsubasa: Greetings there, you must be Tsuchiya Seiji-san, right? *smiles confidently* Seiji: ...?! (This guy...he's younger than I thought...is he the same driver I managed to outrun that day near the Rainbow Bridge?) Yeah…and who might you be…? The air around you sure seemed familiar…despite that this is the first time we met. Tsubasa: Ah…of course… I almost forgot to introduce myself, name's Aramaki Tsubasa. Pleased to meet you. Remember that AE86 you outrun while on Tsubasa Bridge? That’s where I gave up…you were just too fast that time…and I can’t risk destroying my own car in chasing you hopelessly. Seiji: Ah…I remember now. Pleased to be your acquaintance too, Aramaki. It's surprising that you appear younger than I thought you were during that last encounter. Never thought you'd have this much persistence on driving a car as old as this and still managed to catch up to me...not everyone can do that with such devotion on a machine, especially one as old as this one here... Tsubasa: Please, you're giving me too much credit. Heh, I just can't imagine myself sticking close with any other cars than this AE86 after all. I've driven a lot of cars back then, but in the end...I still love driving this car, despite what others said about it... Seiji: ... (His car's body, it's back to its stock form?) Say, Aramaki...did you tune this AE86? The last time I saw it I was certain the car's body isn't going to last long. Did you get the body aligned now? Tsubasa: Well, the car does need an overhaul after 2 long years of continuous running. That was the last time it was overhauled...my friend Miyazaki Chiaki and a famous racer known as Yamazaki Raymond tuned the car to the way it is right now. The bodykit's long gone, but I can live with it. The body's much stronger and rigid now. I feel like the car wouldn't wobble even if I managed to hit 300 km/h somehow...and it's now got a 6-speed gearbox of the later AE series which has provided a lot of help in speed-increase on straight courses like the Wangan and Yokohane area. Seiji: I see...so you know Yamazaki too huh? (...So Miyazaki has finally completed the overhaul as well...) Tsubasa: Well, recently anyway...there's still another guy there in his tune shop that is loud-mouthed and trash-talked my car when I brought it there for fixing. I wouldn't go into the details on that though. Seiji: (...why am I not surprised to figure who he’s referring to…?) Tsubasa: Well, anyway…enough about that. Would you like to race with me once more, Tsuchiya-san? Seiji: I am not sure what you’d gain through this sort of request, but if you wish for it so much, I don’t see a reason in declining it either… Tsubasa: So you’d do it then? Seiji: Sure thing. I still need to confirm a few things for myself anyway…so, where would you like to race? Tsubasa: Starting at Heiwajima of Yokohane Downbound, then connect to the Haneda Tunnel Exit, all the way to Hamakawasaki linking to the Wangan East, continuing to cross over Tsubasa Bridge, then Ohgishima, continuing straight from the Airport Tunnel until we head to Shinkanjyo, after crossing the Edobashi Branching, we’ll finish there after crossing Ginza Southbound at C1, how about that? Seiji: That total sum of length as the course we’re about to race is rather incredibly long, are you sure about that? My Evo may be able to handle the amount of pressure put from me, but I can’t say for sure to your car. What if your car begins to wear down from all that acceleration push, especially on Yokohane all the way to the entire Wangan Line area? Tsubasa: Trust me…if I didn’t put much thought into this, I wouldn’t have requested this battle in the first place of this scale. I wanted to try something and see for myself. I wanted to test how far I can go with this AE86 now…I know it’s not doing good for my car to race under such roads, but I just wanted to test and see for myself, just so you know, today I have no intention of wanting to steal back a win from you. Seiji: …! (That sound something like Kujira…and Miyazaki said before…) Alright then…if you can gain something out of this battle despite you might lose, I won’t stop you. Tsubasa: Thanks a lot then, I am glad you accept my request, Tsuchiya-san. Well then, shall we go all out? Seiji: Heh…*smiles sarcastically* You’re not trying to show off with your souped up ride, are you? Tsubasa: Of course not…haha. I am just joking…let’s go for a normal race then. Seiji: Sure thing…as you wish, hmm. *both went into their own cars, started their engines and drove off slowly as they head towards the Yokohane Line* *Battle of Seiji VS Tsubasa II Commence* **Cue BGM Madly Driving starts to play** Tsubasa: I’d let you have the lead first, I wanna see how far I can follow you from behind. Seiji: Humph…sure hope you won’t regret for choosing this position. From this point forth on Yokohane, the gentle curves aren’t to be meddled around while travelling at over 200 km/h, slaloming here alone is as tricky as it can be. *The Evo VIII continued to move as the AE86 chase close from behind. Both cars continued on to slalom over a few traffics as the Evo VIII is slowly pulling away with its power advantage* Tsubasa: Just as I thought…his car’s definitely got the edge in power terms…I still lost to him in terms of power after all, however…I still got a chance. Seiji: Not bad…his car’s definitely much faster now…the way he keeps the sharp acceleration on while slaloming at over 180 km/h is impressive…not a moment of time is wasted while shifting up his gears, and the acceleration is still continuing, despite it being slightly slower than my Evo. *the Evo VIII continued to pull away further, now leaving a 30-40 meter gap from AE86 behind* Tsubasa: On these gentle curves I have a better edge in terms of handling and I can easily use an out-in-out tactic to close some gaps…it’s the straight lane where I have to be more careful with the acceleration…power between two cars are still quite different! *The AE86 continues to stick close to the Evo VIII until it reached the Hamakawasaki, the Evo VIII begins to show signs of leaving the AE86 from Tsubasa’s view* Tsubasa: …ngh…! I see, even after hitting 6th gear’s peak, I couldn’t keep up with his Evo due to the power difference still. I am definitely much faster than my previous run with Tsuchiya-san, but he’s still got the edge in terms of top speed. As expected…he’s one hell of a racer. Seiji: Impressive…! He can catch up all the way here in Hamakawasaki, and he’s still putting up a good fight, despite I am losing him slowly. I thought for sure he’d fall behind like how he used to when we first raced. Aramaki, you’re much more persistent than I thought…I’d even go as far as to say I have overlooked your willpower…! *both cars continued to run wildly as they crossed the first curve after reaching the end of Hamakawasaki, the AE86 took a much tighter line compared to the Evo VIII, which took a rather normal lining, but maintained its high speed, while the AE86 uses the momentum of the cornering to compensate its lack of power on straight roads on the corner, effectively closing the gap a bit* Tsubasa: Good…I got him now on the curve…! Seiji: A clean cornering…not bad at all, and using a tight lining like that with such car…one cannot achieve that without enough boldness and dedication…not bad at all. However…! *The Evo VIII continues to pull away once more after a moment of straight run before another curve arrives, leading to Wangan Line* Tsubasa: …just as I thought, the straight is where I lose out the most, despite having me tried so hard on the curves, incredible…his Evo is totally a monster on both straight and corners…! Seiji: Guess he’s aware of the weakness still…but I can tell you’re still calm about it. Not bad at all, kid. *Both cars entered the curve that eventually leads to Wangan East, the AE86 has the advantage as usual on the cornering momentum and Tsubasa is gaining once more on the Evo IX* Seiji: …Not bad at all, his acceleration control, braking point and cornering skills are all done with uncanny precision…he’s now sticking right behind my tail…but once we entered Wangan East, that’s when you’re going to have trouble keeping up. Let’s see how long you can keep this momentum, Aramaki…! Tsubasa: He’s good….! I can barely catch up to him only…but I am still far from done…! But here’s definitely the hardest part for my 86…! The Wangan Line! *both cars reached the Wangan Line as they started crossing the entrance towards Tsubasa Bridge. The AE86 is starting to lose more gain by a second, falling behind slowly as the Evo VIII continued to lunge towards, leading the race as the gap starts to build* Tsubasa: Ugh…no good…! His Evo VIII is clearly too powerful…! I can’t catch him here at all…! Unless…! Seiji: If I go all out, you won’t be able to even keep up halfway here…I’d just ease up a bit here...try and stick close to me, kid. Tsubasa: …guess I’d just have to use “That” move…! Unless I do it, I’d be out of his picture for sure…! *camera zooms out as both cars continued racing down the Wangan Line, all the way towards across the Tsubasa Bridge and slowly fades into black* *camera later on fades back towards a parked RUF CTR2 near towards near the Haneda Airport Tunnel. The camera skips in and shows Chiaki and Arashiko are sitting idle inside the car.* Chiaki: Hey…you still asleep, Arashiko? Arashiko: …*snoring* Chiaki: …hey…! *flicks her finger towards Arashiko’s forehead* Arashiko: Stop that, Black…I demand another 3 minutes and 15 seconds of midnight nap…! *ignores Chiaki’s finger flicker, despite her forehead now partially red* Chiaki: Sigh…still so laidback as always, White…you seriously need to tighten your attitude a bit more. Arashiko: For what? It’s not like a lot of customers nowadays wanna do business with me anyways…humph *her eyes remained closed, and continued snoring after she’s done talking* **Cue Music Initial D First Stage – Admiration - starts to play** Chiaki: Say, Arashiko… Arashiko: …hmm? Chiaki: Do you miss him? Arashiko: …why ask all of a sudden? You already know my answer, no? Chiaki: Well, if you do miss him, you can always talk to him later on, you know? Arashiko: Haha…that I already know, it’s just that I could hardly ever remember the last time I met him before… Chiaki: …you like him a lot, even now huh? Arashiko: …*smiles and blushed a bit* …Yeah, I guess so, hahaha…! *turns to Chiaki and gave a laidback grin* Honestly though…I never thought I’d miss him this much, knowing that he’s back once more…back from the stage in the mountains all the way here to Shutoku Area…I remember the last time I saw him, he was still so impulsive and straightforward about anything. Chiaki: Well…that’s his nature after all… *camera pans to the night skies of Tokyo Area* He’d never look anything that is important to him in a bent or twisted way. Deep down he cherished just about anyone that he befriends with…he always keep charging forward no matter how disadvantageous it may be for him on things. Arashiko: Don’t remind me. *sighs in relief and leaned back further as she wanted to take a nap still* He’s never a guy who thinks long and hard to begin with when I laid my eyes on him. But he’s definitely like a computer at some point. Making a lot of hard decisions in a very fast manner; he believes in the goodness of many failures he faced in his life, and wished to embrace those hardships with the current him, he’d be able to learn a lot of new things as he overcame these hardships. All great things are achieved through a hell of time on life of a person, he’s no different…and he knows it better than both of us. Chiaki: Guess we’re both agreed on the fact that he’s still the same old strong boy we both liked a long time ago, huh? I never thought he’d grown this much at such a short time…Tsubasa… Arashiko: Yeah…*flashback of Arashiko and Chiaki together with Tsubasa, hanging out on the mountain passes as they are seen smiling happily.* Honestly…I felt so nostalgic now…it feels like my heart is gonna burst at anytime…even though I am sleepy as crap now… Chiaki: I wonder though…is he really gonna be here? It’s been a long time since he went out after telling me to bring you along for tonight’s battle with Tsuchiya-san. Arashiko: He’ll be here…don’t worry…racing against someone whom managed to smoke the machine I create specially for battling the Dead Zone R? I ought to see something fun and interesting tonight…and I am even more interested in seeing how Tsubasa is gonna overcome this huge wall in front of him now…other than Kujira-kun himself… Chiaki: His opponent is the Wangan God after all…I wouldn’t be surprised if he couldn’t win, even after all the settings that can be done has been done for him…at least for now. Just…I hope Tsubasa wouldn’t push the car too hard… Arashiko: Have faith in him. With his skill, I am sure he knows what he’s doing…your tuning has a sense of quality after all, and I am clear that Tsubasa-kun is not stupid enough to total his own car that was touched by both our hands to make it into what it is known as now to date. Chiaki: Yeah…guess I worry too much…haha. **music cuts off slowly** Arashiko: *sigh* Welp…he should be around here anytime soon…just wait till his car’s engine roar echo through here and we— *she stopped as the engine sounds can be heard as the windows of the RUF was open* Chiaki: …those engine sounds…looks like a race…and they’re very close to each other it seems… Arashiko: *smiles happily* …heh. The 4AGE engine…and that special sound of the FQ 600…they’re here. **Cue BGM The Final Count Down begins to play** Chiaki: …!! There they are! (This sound…their car’s fast…!!) *starts engine and closes window of the CTR2* Arashiko: That’s right, Black…hurry up and speed up or you’d lose them in an instant. Heh! *smiles sarcastically as she peeked at the rear mirror of the Porsche.* *both Evo VIII and AE86 continued to cruise at very high speed, passing Chiaki’s CTR2 in an instant as the car finally starts to accelerate.* Arashiko: Ah…sweet, sweet sound…both cars sound just as lovely as devil’s music here… I like it. *smiles more with anticipation, despite her face looking rather laidback and stoic* Chiaki: Haha…guess we’d have a great deal of catching up to do…they’re both travelling at around over 280 km/h when they passed over us. *sweated a bit, but remained calm* *The CTR2 started to chase from around 600 to 700 meters away behind two cars battling against each other, the AE86 is still chasing close towards the Evo VIII, which is now 40 to 50 meters leading the race towards the Airport Tunnel* Seiji: Unbelievable…! *sweats seriously as he gazed the rear mirror for a split second and still noticed the AE86 is behind him, despite it’s being pulled further away slowly* From the beginning of the entry point on Tsubasa Bridge all the way to the Haneda Airport Tunnel entrance I’ve been travelling over 300 km/h…! Is he somehow really slipstreaming behind my Evo when he’s on the Tsubasa Bridge?! Tsubasa: I know unless I do some drafting behind you…there’s no way I can keep up with your car with you driving so well…Tsuchiya-san! *The AE86 continued on to charge its way while following closely behind the Evo VIII as it slowly slipstreams once more behind the car and slowly gaining momentum and speed, all the way through the tunnel.* Seiji: Well done…he’s following my line very closely…! (He’s slipstreaming…just as I thought…) However…you best not regret what might be coming later on once we hit towards Shinkanjyo after crossing the tollgates here…! *Both cars started to cross the tollgates after they exit the Airport Tunnel. Soon, the CTR2 also managed to catch up to a good 100 meter gap behind the two cars now as they continued the path and crossing their way towards Tatsumi, eventually leading them to Shinkanjyo* Chiaki: They’re planning to enter the Shinkanjyo… Arashiko: Huhuhu…now here’s where things are starting to get interesting…Tsubasa-kun is slipstreaming beautifully with his 86… Chiaki: Yeah…it’s unusual…seeing an 86 drafting behind a monster car like that Evo VIII…Tsubasa has nerves of steel…chasing so desperately behind Tsuchiya-san’s car like that. *The AE86 continued the drafting behind the Evo VIII as its speed increase steadily. Thanks to the improved body rigidity, the AE86’s acceleration and rhythm remained stable even crossing over 270 km/h now and rising* Tsubasa: Amazing…so this is what it feels like to slipstream at this speed…I am coming after you now, Tsuchiya-san! Seiji: Tch…! Unreal, he’s actually managed to push all the way until this far at Shinkanjyo…*smiles admirably* But indeed…this is a great battle…it’s been a while since I enjoy a race this intense…your courage and persistence is astounding…Aramaki…I’d give you that. *The battle continued on with the CTR2, now 50 meters behind Tsubasa’s AE86, as all 3 cars passed the Fukugawa Line at Shinkajyo, the AE86 is now slowly falling behind as he couldn’t remain in his slipstream position anymore. And the momentum built by both the Evo VIII and AE86 is equal, so the Evo VIII has the edge on speed advantage.* Tsubasa: No good… I can’t catch him from here… Seiji: Guess he’s no longer capable on the offensive once he’s out of the slipstream zone…let’s slow down a bit here…you’re going through a hell of a battle here, kid…being able to stay conscious through all the way here is already shocking enough. *Seiji eases up a bit on the accelerator, but nothing too severe as he lets Tsubasa catch up a little bit* Tsubasa: He’s easing up…? No, he’s just making sure I don’t fall behind since I am clearly out of the slipstream zone…guess I’d be adjusting my position too from here…! Since I have no intention of passing you tonight anyway…! *As the AE86 finally managed to stick to a good 8 to 10 meters behind the Evo VIII, Tsubasa maintained his pace and refused to overtake him, as that wasn’t his original intention, both cars are now closely stuck with each other as they entered the Hamazakibashi Branching* Chiaki: They’re both evenly matched…! Such incredible race this is…AE86 against an Evo VIII… Arashiko: Hahaha…! Ah well, guess Tsubasa-kun is still the same old guy we all loved till today…I expect no less from a guy like him. Now that we’re entering Hamazakibashi Branching, I’d love to see what happens next. Heh! Step on it, Black…you’re losin’ them! *Smiles as she leaned back and relaxed while Chiaki continued to drive seriously* Chiaki: You make it sounds so easy…! *Chiaki broke a cold sweat and smiled* Arashiko: Zip it! You’re drivin’ a good Porsche here, so if you fall behind here I’d rip you a new one. *mischievous grin* Chiaki: You try that, White… *giving a “not-amused” face as she continues to drive sharply* *all 3 cars continued on as they cruise towards Hamazakibashi Branching’s U-turn and camera begins to fade out eventually* *camera switches to an NA2 Honda NSX cruising towards the later part of the Hamazakibashi area, the camera shows that Katerina is driving there* Katerina: Sigh…I wonder…who is this Wangan God really? All the time I’ve been cruising down the Shutoku Area looking for him…yet I can’t see him at all…day after day…my timing is either very bad or I am just unfortunate it seems… *The NSX is shown continuing its cruise as the camera shows the normal roads on the area of the Shinkanjyo, which then revealed that the NSX is heading towards the Edobashi Branching later* Katerina: What type of person could he really be? And what sort of impression am I going to get when we finally meet each other…? I really need to know…what sort of change am I going to encounter when I met him…? And will my view as a racer change if I managed to somehow race him…? That is all I need to know for now… *upon cruising at Edobashi Branching later on, three cars are slowly appearing behind Katerina’s rearview mirror and they’re beginning to grow in visibility* Katerina: …Huh? Those lights…? Are those cars on a…race? *Before Katerina could react quick enough, The Lan Evo VIII, AE86 and finally the CTR2 all slalomed and passed right off the NSX as they continued to race while beginning to enter the U-turn which will eventually lead them to the Ginza Area Southbound, where the goal will be right after the double S-curves within the area* Katerina: …Fast!! Nggh…! *Steps on the accelerator* *The NSX went full throttle, but everything was done a tempo late, now her NSX failed to catch up Seiji and Tsubasa’s cars due to their peak momentum, but still managed to keep Chiaki’s RUF in sight.* Katerina: No good…I can’t catch the two cars ahead, they’re too fast…and I am one tempo late in doing everything to join the race…I only managed to catch up to the Porsche…tch… *camera switches back as the NSX slowly catches the CTR2 from behind* Arashiko: Oh…there’s an NA2 followin’ up behind…never saw that car before around here… Chiaki: The NSX huh? Guess the battle tonight attract more attention that we expected…! Arashiko: Just try and keep your pace, they’re both for real here now all the way to C1…!! Here’s where the AE86 is going to show its true colors on this small area…! Chiaki: Yeah…! *smiles with slight enthusiasm* *camera switches back to Katerina’s NSX* Katerina: The Porsche driver is also amazingly good…I think I’d need to readjust my driving after this…! *As the NSX begins to close in towards the CTR2, back to Seiji against Tsubasa, they’re now entering the Ginza Southbound Area, where the S-curves part is closing in, they are almost towards the goal itself. Tsubasa’s AE86 is closing in on the Evo VIII after the U-turn from Edobashi just now as he has the lining advantage and momentum there after the cornering.* Tsubasa: The Ginza Southbound at C1…! Here’s where things are gonna get tricky for us all, but with this 86, here’s also where I can show its true colors the best! Get ready, Tsuchiya-san…I am gonna make my move here now to catch up to you…! Seiji: Here’s the part where the car with less power has more fighting edge…! I can feel that the aura from Aramaki’s 86 is beginning to grow aggressive…! I better increase my pace accordingly here as well, any mistakes on this part and it’s gonna cost me dearly…! *The leading Evo VIII continued to charge forward as they reached the first divider, Seiji’s Evo VIII veered through the left, while the AE86 followed up closely, the CTR2 entered the right path, followed by NSX along on the left, now Katerina is around 30 meters behind Chiaki’s car* Chiaki: Whoa…too close…! Arashiko: Keep your eyes peeled, Black. *The next divider arrived, with Seiji and Tsubasa entering the left part once more, while Chiaki and Katerina took the right lane, after they cleared the dividers, they finally entered the Shiodome Tunnel, the goal is after the 2nd corner of the consecutive S-curves ahead! Tsubasa is now only 5 meters behind Seiji’s Lancer Evolution VIII* Tsubasa: The final area…! *gets serious with his forehead now sweaty, same goes with his arms* Seiji: This is it…! Come on, Aramaki…!! *Serious face with sweats over his forehead now* *The first S-curve arrived, as both Tsubasa and Seiji feathered their accelerator on precise timing, brake at the same time, and tackled the corner at the exact lining, with Tsubasa’s AE86 veering towards the inner line, he’s ready to make his passing move as the AE86 is now poking its nose ahead for a short moment before the Evo VIII took back the lead again* Seiji: …! (He’s got the inner lane…however…!) Both cars crossed the goal after the S-curve, Seiji has won.* **music cuts off finally** Tsubasa: …Amazing…he’s too good…! *Sighs in relief as he slowly let go off the accelerator, as the goal has been crossed by both of them* Seiji: …*pants in relief too* To think an AE86 can manage to run like that…I am speechless…however, you really are something, Aramaki… *smiles slightly as he too let go off his accelerator* *As both cars slowed down, the CTR2 and NSX finally caught up, and they too decelerated, knowing that the battle is finally over* Chiaki: Well…looks like it’s finally over… Arashiko: Hmm, good job, Tsubasa-kun…you did well chasing such an incredible Evo, using this car. It’s alright if you lost, you can definitely learn something new after this loss. I’ve seen something incredible tonight… *As the CTR2 slowly passed the AE86, Arashiko and Chiaki gazed towards Tsubasa inside the AE86, now relaxing* Tsubasa: …yo. *waves at them weakly* Arashiko: *waves back in return as she smiles happily* Good to see you again, Tsubasa-kun… Chiaki: Come on…let’s head to the parking area for now…I am sure Tsuchiya-san is heading there too… *The camera switches to the NSX as Katerina finally catch up and saw the AE86 and CTR2* Katerina: Wow…! AN AE86 was there battling during that time?! I never knew an 86 can go that fast on highway…! This is interesting…I’ve got to know these people…! *The NSX followed the other 3 cars which have slowed down as they continued on all the way to a parking lot nearby. The camera fades out eventually into black screen.*

Whoa...that's a lot of documentary to read...I guess that RUF blueprint gave you a nice impression about Chiaki's working room, eh?

Don't worry, I'd try and think about what I can do more for Chiaki with her Porsche and RUF businesses. :3

And damn, Chiaki is ought to be proud to meet such an incredible man like him...

Seiji Vs Tsubasa (with Chiaki + Arashiko & Katerina following up as spectators later on)

*The scene shows the parking area on the road of Yokohane area. The camera shows the clear night sky of the metropolitan city as it fades back to the parked cars near the road, revealing it being the Evo VIII and AE86* **The camera then shows Tsubasa and Seiji started facing each other** Tsubasa: Greetings there, you must be Tsuchiya Seiji-san, right? *smiles confidently* Seiji: ...?! (This guy...he's younger than I thought...is he the same driver I managed to outrun that day near the Rainbow Bridge?) Yeah…and who might you be…? The air around you sure seemed familiar…despite that this is the first time we met. Tsubasa: Ah…of course… I almost forgot to introduce myself, name's Aramaki Tsubasa. Pleased to meet you. Remember that AE86 you outrun while on Tsubasa Bridge? That’s where I gave up…you were just too fast that time…and I can’t risk destroying my own car in chasing you hopelessly. Seiji: Ah…I remember now. Pleased to be your acquaintance too, Aramaki. It's surprising that you appear younger than I thought you were during that last encounter. Never thought you'd have this much persistence on driving a car as old as this and still managed to catch up to me...not everyone can do that with such devotion on a machine, especially one as old as this one here... Tsubasa: Please, you're giving me too much credit. Heh, I just can't imagine myself sticking close with any other cars than this AE86 after all. I've driven a lot of cars back then, but in the end...I still love driving this car, despite what others said about it... Seiji: ... (His car's body, it's back to its stock form?) Say, Aramaki...did you tune this AE86? The last time I saw it I was certain the car's body isn't going to last long. Did you get the body aligned now? Tsubasa: Well, the car does need an overhaul after 2 long years of continuous running. That was the last time it was overhauled...my friend Miyazaki Chiaki and a famous racer known as Yamazaki Raymond tuned the car to the way it is right now. The bodykit's long gone, but I can live with it. The body's much stronger and rigid now. I feel like the car wouldn't wobble even if I managed to hit 300 km/h somehow...and it's now got a 6-speed gearbox of the later AE series which has provided a lot of help in speed-increase on straight courses like the Wangan and Yokohane area. Seiji: I see...so you know Yamazaki too huh? (...So Miyazaki has finally completed the overhaul as well...) Tsubasa: Well, recently anyway...there's still another guy there in his tune shop that is loud-mouthed and trash-talked my car when I brought it there for fixing. I wouldn't go into the details on that though. Seiji: (...why am I not surprised to figure who he’s referring to…?) Tsubasa: Well, anyway…enough about that. Would you like to race with me once more, Tsuchiya-san? Seiji: I am not sure what you’d gain through this sort of request, but if you wish for it so much, I don’t see a reason in declining it either… Tsubasa: So you’d do it then? Seiji: Sure thing. I still need to confirm a few things for myself anyway…so, where would you like to race? Tsubasa: Starting at Heiwajima of Yokohane Downbound, then connect to the Haneda Tunnel Exit, all the way to Hamakawasaki linking to the Wangan East, continuing to cross over Tsubasa Bridge, then Ohgishima, continuing straight from the Airport Tunnel until we head to Shinkanjyo, after crossing the Edobashi Branching, we’ll finish there after crossing Ginza Southbound at C1, how about that? Seiji: That total sum of length as the course we’re about to race is rather incredibly long, are you sure about that? My Evo may be able to handle the amount of pressure put from me, but I can’t say for sure to your car. What if your car begins to wear down from all that acceleration push, especially on Yokohane all the way to the entire Wangan Line area? Tsubasa: Trust me…if I didn’t put much thought into this, I wouldn’t have requested this battle in the first place of this scale. I wanted to try something and see for myself. I wanted to test how far I can go with this AE86 now…I know it’s not doing good for my car to race under such roads, but I just wanted to test and see for myself, just so you know, today I have no intention of wanting to steal back a win from you. Seiji: …! (That sound something like Kujira…and Miyazaki said before…) Alright then…if you can gain something out of this battle despite you might lose, I won’t stop you. Tsubasa: Thanks a lot then, I am glad you accept my request, Tsuchiya-san. Well then, shall we go all out? Seiji: Heh…*smiles sarcastically* You’re not trying to show off with your souped up ride, are you? Tsubasa: Of course not…haha. I am just joking…let’s go for a normal race then. Seiji: Sure thing…as you wish, hmm. *both went into their own cars, started their engines and drove off slowly as they head towards the Yokohane Line* *Battle of Seiji VS Tsubasa II Commence* **Cue BGM Madly Driving starts to play** Tsubasa: I’d let you have the lead first, I wanna see how far I can follow you from behind. Seiji: Humph…sure hope you won’t regret for choosing this position. From this point forth on Yokohane, the gentle curves aren’t to be meddled around while travelling at over 200 km/h, slaloming here alone is as tricky as it can be. *The Evo VIII continued to move as the AE86 chase close from behind. Both cars continued on to slalom over a few traffics as the Evo VIII is slowly pulling away with its power advantage* Tsubasa: Just as I thought…his car’s definitely got the edge in power terms…I still lost to him in terms of power after all, however…I still got a chance. Seiji: Not bad…his car’s definitely much faster now…the way he keeps the sharp acceleration on while slaloming at over 180 km/h is impressive…not a moment of time is wasted while shifting up his gears, and the acceleration is still continuing, despite it being slightly slower than my Evo. *the Evo VIII continued to pull away further, now leaving a 30-40 meter gap from AE86 behind* Tsubasa: On these gentle curves I have a better edge in terms of handling and I can easily use an out-in-out tactic to close some gaps…it’s the straight lane where I have to be more careful with the acceleration…power between two cars are still quite different! *The AE86 continues to stick close to the Evo VIII until it reached the Hamakawasaki, the Evo VIII begins to show signs of leaving the AE86 from Tsubasa’s view* Tsubasa: …ngh…! I see, even after hitting 6th gear’s peak, I couldn’t keep up with his Evo due to the power difference still. I am definitely much faster than my previous run with Tsuchiya-san, but he’s still got the edge in terms of top speed. As expected…he’s one hell of a racer. Seiji: Impressive…! He can catch up all the way here in Hamakawasaki, and he’s still putting up a good fight, despite I am losing him slowly. I thought for sure he’d fall behind like how he used to when we first raced. Aramaki, you’re much more persistent than I thought…I’d even go as far as to say I have overlooked your willpower…! *both cars continued to run wildly as they crossed the first curve after reaching the end of Hamakawasaki, the AE86 took a much tighter line compared to the Evo VIII, which took a rather normal lining, but maintained its high speed, while the AE86 uses the momentum of the cornering to compensate its lack of power on straight roads on the corner, effectively closing the gap a bit* Tsubasa: Good…I got him now on the curve…! Seiji: A clean cornering…not bad at all, and using a tight lining like that with such car…one cannot achieve that without enough boldness and dedication…not bad at all. However…! *The Evo VIII continues to pull away once more after a moment of straight run before another curve arrives, leading to Wangan Line* Tsubasa: …just as I thought, the straight is where I lose out the most, despite having me tried so hard on the curves, incredible…his Evo is totally a monster on both straight and corners…! Seiji: Guess he’s aware of the weakness still…but I can tell you’re still calm about it. Not bad at all, kid. *Both cars entered the curve that eventually leads to Wangan East, the AE86 has the advantage as usual on the cornering momentum and Tsubasa is gaining once more on the Evo IX* Seiji: …Not bad at all, his acceleration control, braking point and cornering skills are all done with uncanny precision…he’s now sticking right behind my tail…but once we entered Wangan East, that’s when you’re going to have trouble keeping up. Let’s see how long you can keep this momentum, Aramaki…! Tsubasa: He’s good….! I can barely catch up to him only…but I am still far from done…! But here’s definitely the hardest part for my 86…! The Wangan Line! *both cars reached the Wangan Line as they started crossing the entrance towards Tsubasa Bridge. The AE86 is starting to lose more gain by a second, falling behind slowly as the Evo VIII continued to lunge towards, leading the race as the gap starts to build* Tsubasa: Ugh…no good…! His Evo VIII is clearly too powerful…! I can’t catch him here at all…! Unless…! Seiji: If I go all out, you won’t be able to even keep up halfway here…I’d just ease up a bit here...try and stick close to me, kid. Tsubasa: …guess I’d just have to use “That” move…! Unless I do it, I’d be out of his picture for sure…! *camera zooms out as both cars continued racing down the Wangan Line, all the way towards across the Tsubasa Bridge and slowly fades into black* *camera later on fades back towards a parked RUF CTR2 near towards near the Haneda Airport Tunnel. The camera skips in and shows Chiaki and Arashiko are sitting idle inside the car.* Chiaki: Hey…you still asleep, Arashiko? Arashiko: …*snoring* Chiaki: …hey…! *flicks her finger towards Arashiko’s forehead* Arashiko: Stop that, Black…I demand another 3 minutes and 15 seconds of midnight nap…! *ignores Chiaki’s finger flicker, despite her forehead now partially red* Chiaki: Sigh…still so laidback as always, White…you seriously need to tighten your attitude a bit more. Arashiko: For what? It’s not like a lot of customers nowadays wanna do business with me anyways…humph *her eyes remained closed, and continued snoring after she’s done talking* **Cue Music Initial D First Stage – Admiration - starts to play** Chiaki: Say, Arashiko… Arashiko: …hmm? Chiaki: Do you miss him? Arashiko: …why ask all of a sudden? You already know my answer, no? Chiaki: Well, if you do miss him, you can always talk to him later on, you know? Arashiko: Haha…that I already know, it’s just that I could hardly ever remember the last time I met him before… Chiaki: …you like him a lot, even now huh? Arashiko: …*smiles and blushed a bit* …Yeah, I guess so, hahaha…! *turns to Chiaki and gave a laidback grin* Honestly though…I never thought I’d miss him this much, knowing that he’s back once more…back from the stage in the mountains all the way here to Shutoku Area…I remember the last time I saw him, he was still so impulsive and straightforward about anything. Chiaki: Well…that’s his nature after all… *camera pans to the night skies of Tokyo Area* He’d never look anything that is important to him in a bent or twisted way. Deep down he cherished just about anyone that he befriends with…he always keep charging forward no matter how disadvantageous it may be for him on things. Arashiko: Don’t remind me. *sighs in relief and leaned back further as she wanted to take a nap still* He’s never a guy who thinks long and hard to begin with when I laid my eyes on him. But he’s definitely like a computer at some point. Making a lot of hard decisions in a very fast manner; he believes in the goodness of many failures he faced in his life, and wished to embrace those hardships with the current him, he’d be able to learn a lot of new things as he overcame these hardships. All great things are achieved through a hell of time on life of a person, he’s no different…and he knows it better than both of us. Chiaki: Guess we’re both agreed on the fact that he’s still the same old strong boy we both liked a long time ago, huh? I never thought he’d grown this much at such a short time…Tsubasa… Arashiko: Yeah…*flashback of Arashiko and Chiaki together with Tsubasa, hanging out on the mountain passes as they are seen smiling happily.* Honestly…I felt so nostalgic now…it feels like my heart is gonna burst at anytime…even though I am sleepy as crap now… Chiaki: I wonder though…is he really gonna be here? It’s been a long time since he went out after telling me to bring you along for tonight’s battle with Tsuchiya-san. Arashiko: He’ll be here…don’t worry…racing against someone whom managed to smoke the machine I create specially for battling the Dead Zone R? I ought to see something fun and interesting tonight…and I am even more interested in seeing how Tsubasa is gonna overcome this huge wall in front of him now…other than Kujira-kun himself… Chiaki: His opponent is the Wangan God after all…I wouldn’t be surprised if he couldn’t win, even after all the settings that can be done has been done for him…at least for now. Just…I hope Tsubasa wouldn’t push the car too hard… Arashiko: Have faith in him. With his skill, I am sure he knows what he’s doing…your tuning has a sense of quality after all, and I am clear that Tsubasa-kun is not stupid enough to total his own car that was touched by both our hands to make it into what it is known as now to date. Chiaki: Yeah…guess I worry too much…haha. **music cuts off slowly** Arashiko: *sigh* Welp…he should be around here anytime soon…just wait till his car’s engine roar echo through here and we— *she stopped as the engine sounds can be heard as the windows of the RUF was open* Chiaki: …those engine sounds…looks like a race…and they’re very close to each other it seems… Arashiko: *smiles happily* …heh. The 4AGE engine…and that special sound of the FQ 600…they’re here. **Cue BGM The Final Count Down begins to play** Chiaki: …!! There they are! (This sound…their car’s fast…!!) *starts engine and closes window of the CTR2* Arashiko: That’s right, Black…hurry up and speed up or you’d lose them in an instant. Heh! *smiles sarcastically as she peeked at the rear mirror of the Porsche.* *both Evo VIII and AE86 continued to cruise at very high speed, passing Chiaki’s CTR2 in an instant as the car finally starts to accelerate.* Arashiko: Ah…sweet, sweet sound…both cars sound just as lovely as devil’s music here… I like it. *smiles more with anticipation, despite her face looking rather laidback and stoic* Chiaki: Haha…guess we’d have a great deal of catching up to do…they’re both travelling at around over 280 km/h when they passed over us. *sweated a bit, but remained calm* *The CTR2 started to chase from around 600 to 700 meters away behind two cars battling against each other, the AE86 is still chasing close towards the Evo VIII, which is now 40 to 50 meters leading the race towards the Airport Tunnel* Seiji: Unbelievable…! *sweats seriously as he gazed the rear mirror for a split second and still noticed the AE86 is behind him, despite it’s being pulled further away slowly* From the beginning of the entry point on Tsubasa Bridge all the way to the Haneda Airport Tunnel entrance I’ve been travelling over 300 km/h…! Is he somehow really slipstreaming behind my Evo when he’s on the Tsubasa Bridge?! Tsubasa: I know unless I do some drafting behind you…there’s no way I can keep up with your car with you driving so well…Tsuchiya-san! *The AE86 continued on to charge its way while following closely behind the Evo VIII as it slowly slipstreams once more behind the car and slowly gaining momentum and speed, all the way through the tunnel.* Seiji: Well done…he’s following my line very closely…! (He’s slipstreaming…just as I thought…) However…you best not regret what might be coming later on once we hit towards Shinkanjyo after crossing the tollgates here…! *Both cars started to cross the tollgates after they exit the Airport Tunnel. Soon, the CTR2 also managed to catch up to a good 100 meter gap behind the two cars now as they continued the path and crossing their way towards Tatsumi, eventually leading them to Shinkanjyo* Chiaki: They’re planning to enter the Shinkanjyo… Arashiko: Huhuhu…now here’s where things are starting to get interesting…Tsubasa-kun is slipstreaming beautifully with his 86… Chiaki: Yeah…it’s unusual…seeing an 86 drafting behind a monster car like that Evo VIII…Tsubasa has nerves of steel…chasing so desperately behind Tsuchiya-san’s car like that. *The AE86 continued the drafting behind the Evo VIII as its speed increase steadily. Thanks to the improved body rigidity, the AE86’s acceleration and rhythm remained stable even crossing over 270 km/h now and rising* Tsubasa: Amazing…so this is what it feels like to slipstream at this speed…I am coming after you now, Tsuchiya-san! Seiji: Tch…! Unreal, he’s actually managed to push all the way until this far at Shinkanjyo…*smiles admirably* But indeed…this is a great battle…it’s been a while since I enjoy a race this intense…your courage and persistence is astounding…Aramaki…I’d give you that. *The battle continued on with the CTR2, now 50 meters behind Tsubasa’s AE86, as all 3 cars passed the Fukugawa Line at Shinkajyo, the AE86 is now slowly falling behind as he couldn’t remain in his slipstream position anymore. And the momentum built by both the Evo VIII and AE86 is equal, so the Evo VIII has the edge on speed advantage.* Tsubasa: No good… I can’t catch him from here… Seiji: Guess he’s no longer capable on the offensive once he’s out of the slipstream zone…let’s slow down a bit here…you’re going through a hell of a battle here, kid…being able to stay conscious through all the way here is already shocking enough. *Seiji eases up a bit on the accelerator, but nothing too severe as he lets Tsubasa catch up a little bit* Tsubasa: He’s easing up…? No, he’s just making sure I don’t fall behind since I am clearly out of the slipstream zone…guess I’d be adjusting my position too from here…! Since I have no intention of passing you tonight anyway…! *As the AE86 finally managed to stick to a good 8 to 10 meters behind the Evo VIII, Tsubasa maintained his pace and refused to overtake him, as that wasn’t his original intention, both cars are now closely stuck with each other as they entered the Hamazakibashi Branching* Chiaki: They’re both evenly matched…! Such incredible race this is…AE86 against an Evo VIII… Arashiko: Hahaha…! Ah well, guess Tsubasa-kun is still the same old guy we all loved till today…I expect no less from a guy like him. Now that we’re entering Hamazakibashi Branching, I’d love to see what happens next. Heh! Step on it, Black…you’re losin’ them! *Smiles as she leaned back and relaxed while Chiaki continued to drive seriously* Chiaki: You make it sounds so easy…! *Chiaki broke a cold sweat and smiled* Arashiko: Zip it! You’re drivin’ a good Porsche here, so if you fall behind here I’d rip you a new one. *mischievous grin* Chiaki: You try that, White… *giving a “not-amused” face as she continues to drive sharply* *all 3 cars continued on as they cruise towards Hamazakibashi Branching’s U-turn and camera begins to fade out eventually* *camera switches to an NA2 Honda NSX cruising towards the later part of the Hamazakibashi area, the camera shows that Katerina is driving there* Katerina: Sigh…I wonder…who is this Wangan God really? All the time I’ve been cruising down the Shutoku Area looking for him…yet I can’t see him at all…day after day…my timing is either very bad or I am just unfortunate it seems… *The NSX is shown continuing its cruise as the camera shows the normal roads on the area of the Shinkanjyo, which then revealed that the NSX is heading towards the Edobashi Branching later* Katerina: What type of person could he really be? And what sort of impression am I going to get when we finally meet each other…? I really need to know…what sort of change am I going to encounter when I met him…? And will my view as a racer change if I managed to somehow race him…? That is all I need to know for now… *upon cruising at Edobashi Branching later on, three cars are slowly appearing behind Katerina’s rearview mirror and they’re beginning to grow in visibility* Katerina: …Huh? Those lights…? Are those cars on a…race? *Before Katerina could react quick enough, The Lan Evo VIII, AE86 and finally the CTR2 all slalomed and passed right off the NSX as they continued to race while beginning to enter the U-turn which will eventually lead them to the Ginza Area Southbound, where the goal will be right after the double S-curves within the area* Katerina: …Fast!! Nggh…! *Steps on the accelerator* *The NSX went full throttle, but everything was done a tempo late, now her NSX failed to catch up Seiji and Tsubasa’s cars due to their peak momentum, but still managed to keep Chiaki’s RUF in sight.* Katerina: No good…I can’t catch the two cars ahead, they’re too fast…and I am one tempo late in doing everything to join the race…I only managed to catch up to the Porsche…tch… *camera switches back as the NSX slowly catches the CTR2 from behind* Arashiko: Oh…there’s an NA2 followin’ up behind…never saw that car before around here… Chiaki: The NSX huh? Guess the battle tonight attract more attention that we expected…! Arashiko: Just try and keep your pace, they’re both for real here now all the way to C1…!! Here’s where the AE86 is going to show its true colors on this small area…! Chiaki: Yeah…! *smiles with slight enthusiasm* *camera switches back to Katerina’s NSX* Katerina: The Porsche driver is also amazingly good…I think I’d need to readjust my driving after this…! *As the NSX begins to close in towards the CTR2, back to Seiji against Tsubasa, they’re now entering the Ginza Southbound Area, where the S-curves part is closing in, they are almost towards the goal itself. Tsubasa’s AE86 is closing in on the Evo VIII after the U-turn from Edobashi just now as he has the lining advantage and momentum there after the cornering.* Tsubasa: The Ginza Southbound at C1…! Here’s where things are gonna get tricky for us all, but with this 86, here’s also where I can show its true colors the best! Get ready, Tsuchiya-san…I am gonna make my move here now to catch up to you…! Seiji: Here’s the part where the car with less power has more fighting edge…! I can feel that the aura from Aramaki’s 86 is beginning to grow aggressive…! I better increase my pace accordingly here as well, any mistakes on this part and it’s gonna cost me dearly…! *The leading Evo VIII continued to charge forward as they reached the first divider, Seiji’s Evo VIII veered through the left, while the AE86 followed up closely, the CTR2 entered the right path, followed by NSX along on the left, now Katerina is around 30 meters behind Chiaki’s car* Chiaki: Whoa…too close…! Arashiko: Keep your eyes peeled, Black. *The next divider arrived, with Seiji and Tsubasa entering the left part once more, while Chiaki and Katerina took the right lane, after they cleared the dividers, they finally entered the Shiodome Tunnel, the goal is after the 2nd corner of the consecutive S-curves ahead! Tsubasa is now only 5 meters behind Seiji’s Lancer Evolution VIII* Tsubasa: The final area…! *gets serious with his forehead now sweaty, same goes with his arms* Seiji: This is it…! Come on, Aramaki…!! *Serious face with sweats over his forehead now* *The first S-curve arrived, as both Tsubasa and Seiji feathered their accelerator on precise timing, brake at the same time, and tackled the corner at the exact lining, with Tsubasa’s AE86 veering towards the inner line, he’s ready to make his passing move as the AE86 is now poking its nose ahead for a short moment before the Evo VIII took back the lead again* Seiji: …! (He’s got the inner lane…however…!) This is interesting…I’ve got to know these people…! *The NSX followed the other 3 cars which have slowed down as they continued on all the way to a parking lot nearby. Cuz her reaction is one tempo slow and everyone is travelling at high momentum, and she couldn't jump into action quick enough. xD

But rest assured, she'd have her moment soon.

Well...on Day 4 she already have her moment with Naoko in planning stage. anyway.

It's also funny that I said before that her NSX is N/A, but in GT5 it's turbo'd

sometime in the future, Chiaki goes to Germany. And then she meets Yasuhara and Santana Swarovski, someone who met Daiki Akiyama waaay back... Chiaki would try the Nordschleife for herself too LOL

Maybe that is another reason that explains why she couldn't keep up (other than her one tempo slow reaction when the 3 cars passed over), then maybe we'd have Arashiko help Katerina to bolt on a nice turbokit for her perhaps next time?

Whoa wait what?! I think that can be applied to a flashback perhaps? Since Chiaki is kinda preoccupied with her business on the Porsche Dealer Shop on regular time basis, I don't think she'd have any more trips outside from Japan for now.

About that short story you're talking about, what's it about? Mind giving a brief description? I know it's related to Chiaki going overseas, but still...mind if I ask for more details?

Yeah, I'm sure he'll know what I'm talking about when he comes here.

Well... for now I won't specify what date it happened, maybe you can decide for that. So far, I thought that Chiaki would do a lap of the Nordschleife with the help of part-time ringmeister (lol) Akihito Yasuhara. Santana Swarovski would make a return too, since, I'm planning to include the CTR Yellowbird in the story. Yasuhara at first is running a few laps in Swarovski's CTR when Chiaki arrived, and then Chiaki got a free passenger seat in the 'bird. She's gonna learn a bit of the track too, but of course she's gonna fly back to Japan after her visit.

I can also link this story to her meet with Alois Ruf Jr., but two things came up in my mind which happened to contradict with that idea:

So yeah, I need some more thinking before I get typing...

Definitely something worth looking forward to. I'd love to see what you can come up with on tomorrow at least.

I have yet to drive the CTR on the Nordschleife to think of something first.
