just a random thought while I was eating my midnight snack:
Remember the Unlimited Blade works theme I posted a page back?
And Remember where Rin was asking some conversations between Seiji and Takumi after the demo-testing?
This is an epic image I saw in my head pertaining to Seiji & Takumi's final bout for the title of Lancer Evolution Master (this may be used for the latter half of Hachioji; somewhere like day 7 or so; if the day corresponds to the episode):
SPOILER
Takumi's dominating the race because it's at Yokohane; where his trash talk of him being top there is no joke. All Seiji could do is catch up to him.
*cue music*
Off camera, slowly joining in, a black AE86 emerges behind the red Evo. Seiji knew that it was Tsubasa (they already met face to face by the time this event happens) and "helps" Seiji. Seiji is pleased and approves.
Takumi's still high on himself as they go past Yokohane's high speed S-curves.
Upon entering Yokohama; the Evo 8 closes in on Takumi's Evo VI. Tsubasa does the same with Seiji's Evo.
As they go through the high-speed narrow S-curves and junctions of Yokohama, Takumi's being pressured to the point where he cusses endlessly thinking how could his "prime" tuning be beaten by something done by Yamazaki & Chiaki? Seiji's gaining ground against Takumi here and Tsubasa's mimicking Seiji's racing line.
The secret to Seiji & Tsubasa's cars would be body rigidity, as both cars had a refresher plan done recently prior to this race, their cars don't wobble upon going through a rapid high speed Slalom; the drawback on Takumi's Evo where his rear fishtails upon shifting to another lane. (the same animation frames as BlackBird's when Kijima comments how the 911 warps through traffic).
As they enter Wangan Line, Seiji recalls Daiki's prime tactic: slipstreaming. Tsubasa unconsciously slipstreams behind Seiji but maintains his pace upon getting too close to it. Both cars are slowly gaining on the Evo VI, which made a 4-car-length gap upon passing Yokohama bridge due to 'dirty' tactics.
Seiji uses Takumi as his slipstream and goes beyond 340 km/h, shocking Takumi. Tsubasa's 86 maintains the same speed shocking Takumi more. Takumi tries to talk his way out of the shock by shouting to them that their styles are reckless and that constant slaloming through traffic would guarantee them an accident.
As the Evo and 86 slaloms through traffic, rigidly, Takumi had no choice but to use them as a slipstream and retain the gap or minimize it. This led him to slaloming through traffic as well; where his Evo shows its prime weakness: the body.
The Evo VI is 100kg heavier than Seiji's Evo; and it's enough to cause a huge change when not careful. Weight shift was constant after every slalom and is warping the Evo VI's body. When Seiji & Tsubasa pass by a narrow route between the wall and the truck; Takumi recklessly follows, where his rear taps the wall, causing his Evo to spin out. (example; they all veered to the very right side of the road; Takumi follows in then quickly shifts to the left but once he veers his wheel to the opposite side, the body is still in the inertial motion of going to the right)
*end music* where Seiji and Tsubasa enter the Haneda tunnel then fade out.

*sorry, urge to song quote*
All I can say is;
TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL at Takumi trying to slipstream and FAILED MISERABLY. xDD
And Tsubasa's guts continued to shock everyone further...driving so fast and still remained unflinched while carefully following Seiji's behind...
And for the VA part; I know...right? It's just pathetic...people all cared for nowadays for anything they do for others at all; are always about the "$$$" ... I really feel like I just wasted a few days of my life trying to convince them when they spoke about cash... sigh...

Hmm... considering the fact that Supido no Densetsu (just like Wangan Midnight) carries life lessons... why don't we add that experience of yours in to Chiaki and/or Midnight Cinderella's words of wisdom?

Definitely will do...considering "Money" IS what moves the world around; something it just cannot lack in everyone's daily life on humanity and society now.
P.S: Chiaki is very rich too...just not as rich as Katerina herself or Raymond...lol
Anyway...now I only need to know how to create a scene where Chiaki knew of the tuning shop that Raymond owns that can help Tsubasa on the body tuning...since Chiaki only heard of Raymond...but never really met him in person...so her knowledge on Raymond is rather limited; so to say....

if that scene is to be recreated in Gran Turismo 5 (Seiji & Tsubasa vs Takumi), I know how it'll go about:
1 lap of Clubman stage r5 then almost 1 lap around SSR5, then on the last corner, all 3 enter the pit lane (which is an underpass) then shift to the straight of SSR7 (after the U-turn slot on the overpass/parking area)
*Clubman Stage R5 (minus the opening tunnel) until the long straight = Yokohane * first straight on SSR5 = Yokohane branching Daikoku-Yokohama * first opening tunnel on SSR5 = Yokohama's tunnel * underpass (Clubman-Special stage branching) = main-route Yokohama / Minato Mirai *discard the X-mas lighted trees S-curve area * final corner of SSR5 = Branching to Yokohama Bridge / Wangan Line. * SSR7's bridge: Tsubasa bridge (bridge before Daikoku on Wangan Southbound) * Tunnel of SSR7 = Haneda Tunnel.

Evo IX's powercurve is just horrible, 520 hp at 7600 rpm and above and I can only rev until like 8250 or something, and even worse, it lacks high-end torque -.-
Might as well leave gear 6 as an overdrive gear, just in case you're gonna do drafting or something.
Lookie here, my buddy and top-time tuner VTiRoj says that his tune can be used for a fully-tuned Evo IX, though you'll probably have to tweak the AYC to your liking.

Guess I better take note on that so I can work on the dialogs without too much trouble...
I think the estimated event for the Day will be at Day 7 or 8 at best...considering how much of development can be done within 1 Day story episode... xD
Anyway, got any suggestion on Chiaki's probable knowledge of Raymond and how Tsubasa can find him?
Oh...and do feel free to add some interesting scenes; like Tsubasa met Takumi...or something interesting...

Chiaki will know the tuning garage's name but she hasn't seen or met Yamazaki personally. She only hears rumours but she did see his demo cars in action. Make her like a spectator of Chapter: Grand Evolution down the Aqualine where she saw Raymond's Demo R34 beat Kazuhiko's Defender FD.

Ah...that will be reasonable too.
Then I guess Chiaki will be able to give a clear idea of how Tsubasa can find Raymond without too much trouble then.
Hearing that she knows Kazuhiko...I wonder if there will be a chance where Kazuhiko will come to start an interview appointment with Chiaki as well someday, surprising Chiaki that Kazuhiko is actually a journalist?
Anyway; currently working on Seiji and Kujira's conversation regarding the identity of Ghost 86 driver; Tsubasa.

aaaaaaaaaand here's anothe poster featuring Hachioji & Seiji. This might be a potential poster merchandise, no? Good enough to fit 1 glossy short bond paper / 8 X 11 at least?

WOOOOHOOOO~~~!!!
MAI LIFE IS COMPLETE!!
Nah; just kidding...I really love the poster...and how Chiaki is gold, Tsubasa is brown and Kujira is black...3 hidden characters depicting on the main reason in forming who Seiji will become in the future...
Finally...if the word SSS were included inside...it's really going to spark hidden mysteries behind the words of Self Speed Society...
Anyway...I am kinda having fun doing Seiji and Kujira's conversation...even added some philosophical talk from Kujira...since even he got a good deal of wisdom himself as a racer in life.
[ Post merged on Jan 20 2012, 08:50 AM ] LAST UPDATE before I go to bed;
The conversation between Kujira and Seiji~
This happens 2 days after Tsubasa asked Chiaki to repair his damanged Ghost 86.
SPOILER
*Text shows on a blank screen* 2 days have passed since the day Tsubasa went and asked for Chiaki to fix his Ghost 86…meanwhile; back to the Wangan Line at daylight… *camera slowly shows Seiji’s Lancer Evolution as it cruised down the Wangan at high speed.* *camera switches into Seiji’s driving view* Seiji: …Sigh…what a pain…even after a few days since the session with Takumi and Raymond…and I still couldn’t get the annoying thought out of my head…all those things that Takumi said after his test-drive seemed to bother me so much; despite it being totally biased…I know I shouldn’t take such opinions literally…but still…could it be true…? *camera hits a flashback as Takumi is shown talking with an arrogant look* Takumi: Hahaha…! See? Pretty awesome, wasn’t it? My magical tuning on the Evo…! Like I said; just as long as you drive with your skills and with MY tuning added on; you’ll literally become UNTOUCHABLE among the Wangan Line! Your fame is gonna skyrocket even further and more people will learn to respect you! Hell; even other 4WD fools wouldn’t learn to mess with us Lan Evo drivers! We the Evo drivers are literally kings here! We don’t need those idiots who are slower than us to give wisecracks on us about driving technique and theories! All it matters is that we’re still number one in terms of raw power and technique! You just keep driving your Evo and tune them as powerful as you could! I mean come on! With your skills; none of these jackasses are ever gonna come close to winning you even if they’re somehow good drivers! Don’t you see?! WINNING is EVERYTHING! Nobody in this world will ever recognize a LOSER! *flashback ends* Seiji: Winning…honestly…I really feel kind of tired of winning already…all that I ever know now is I remained undefeated until Daiki’s encounter that time…but what did I really get from all those battles? I really need to have a clearer picture on what is it that I really am aiming for…or else even if I race my all…none of what I done will have any meaning at all…! But racing those two…they really have made me feel something different… *flashes towards a view of Kujira’s Dead Zone R* Seiji: First…it’s Kujira Kuroyama’s GT-R…the Dead Zone… *Flashes towards a view of Tsubasa’s Ghost 86* Seiji: And second…is that AE86 driver… It feels as if they’re aiming for something else other than just wanting to try and go faster than me…I couldn’t feel any desire of winning from them at all…yet why are they able to drive so good…? What is it that really motivates them into driving like that…? I really want to know…! Even more so…WHAT is it that TRULY motivates me all these times when I drive…!? I wanted to find someone that can really help me answer these questions…! Huh…? *Seiji noticed on the far side of his front mirror, a car stopped on the harbor of the road…a figure is glancing at the skies…soon the figure appeared to be Kujira…standing nearby his Dead Zone R with its warning lights on while parked on the side of the road* Seiji: …Kujira? What is he doing there…? *Seiji pulls over his Evo as he parked it near behind Kujira’s BNR32 and come out from the car with the warning lights on* Kujira: …Oh? Well this is indeed a rare sight…to think you’d find me so easily here…Seiji. Seiji: …Kujira…what are you doing here, standing all by yourself while stopping at the harbor area? There’s nothing to see here…really. Kujira: You think so…wouldn’t you? I am just sightseeing here…looking at the seagulls…and trying to ease my own mind… *Kujira glances at the skies as seagulls flew about freely* Seiji: …did something troubles you…? Kujira: Well…sort of. It’s just concerning an old friend of mine…someone who drove a rather ancient car and still managed to run to this day without dying as a racer… Seiji: Ancient car? Dying? Who are you talking about here? Kujira: You wouldn’t know him…he’s far too underrated and unnoticed as a racer in general at the Shutoku area…despite his general reputation on his own area at Hachioji… Seiji: (…Hachioji…could it be…?) Kujira: …what? Are you interested in him? Or should I stop if it’s boring you…? Seiji: No…it’s alright…I’d like to hear of this driver too that has been troubling you… Kujira: Alright then… Kujira: Have you ever seen a black AE86 Trueno before at the Wangan Line lately? It carries a Hachioji tag and has an incredible engine sound; despite it being an ancient car in comparison with car generations of other modern cars. It’s a car that is said to be able to do many impossible feats; thanks to the driver’s will… Seiji: …!! *gasped silently as he knew who Kujira was talking about* Kujira: Well…the car has a nickname…it’s called the Ghost 86 by others…for it possess the will of a ghost; no matter how far you pull away from him on the back…he will always stay glued to your rear until you make a mistake somehow and make an instant comeback. It’s a rather ominous car; considering it shouldn’t even be able to keep up with the cars here nowadays with much chance… Seiji: …The Ghost 86…a black Trueno…it does sounds kind of absurd even as a rumor if it somehow is fake…but I think I can believe you; considering you’re never really a person to tell a lie. Do you happen to be acquainted with the black…I mean the Ghost 86 driver? Kujira: Acquainted? Indeed…we’re both friends; yet at the same time…we’re fierce archrivals… Seiji: …what?! You choose an AE86 driver to be your rival…?! Considering how weak a car 86 is…you should be able to completely destroy the driver…wouldn’t it? And to consider your driving skills; I don’t think an AE86 can catch up with your Dead Zone R at all…! It just isn’t possible…no matter how much I think about it…the car’s way too different between your R and the driver’s 86…it’s still an 86 no matter how it’s tuned…! It’s just so…ridiculous…now I am contradicting myself somehow; I really don’t want to believe what you say; but yet I am slowly believing it…is he really that tough a driver…? Kujira: *chuckles* Oh sometimes even little Beetles can run just as fast as Civics; ya know? The possibilities on cars performing far beyond their limits are totally endless and infinite. And you best not underestimate the Ghost 86 driver…amongst those who in comparison to experience and understanding of the machine of the AE86 entirely…he’s among the rarest type that has 100% compatibility in controlling the machine like his own hands and legs. His AE86 has some sort of a “will” residing within the car…thanks to the driver’s extreme level of concentration and determination as a racer… Seiji: …who is the driver’s name? Do you know his name? Considering you’re both acquainted and all… Kujira: His name huh? Aramaki Tsubasa…that’s his name…a young guy…about 3 to 4 years younger than me…yet his driving sense and concentration level is far beyond my reach as a driver…I may have my driving techniques and Dead Zone’s curse at my disposal…but his will is what left me speechless… Seiji: Aramaki…Tsubasa…can you tell me, Kujira…what type of a person is Tsubasa really? Kujira: You sure sound like you’re interested into him a lot already…what gives? *smiles sarcastically as he leans on the R32* Seiji: Actually…I’ve raced him before…or at least I think it’s him I am racing against… Kujira: So you raced Tsubasa too huh…well; at his current state; he won’t stand a chance against you…he may have a clear motivation and an even clearer idea of what he wishes to surpass throughout his life in searching of the meaning of going faster….but his car’s already reached too far beyond its limits…if he keeps running with his Ghost 86 like that without even the basic maintenance done…his 86 will surely die off. Seiji: …it could be him after all…when I first raced him…I thought at the beginning that he was merely a naïve AE86 driver that runs around the Shutoku area for fun…but I was wrong when I realized that I actually went all out on him…when I am attempting to lose him later on during the race…and finally finishing him off somehow at the Rainbow Bridge. I never realize an AE86 can perform like that…his tuning was not just top-notch…even the skills of this Tsubasa person is pretty impressive with his accel control…he’s able to keep flooring the acceleration pedal without letting up even a bit on the corners…without a certain amount of courage and confidence; you cannot pull off stunts like that…and considering his AE86 doesn’t even come with an ABS system that could at least help him a bit on safety regards… Kujira: Then I suppose you can say Tsubasa is someone whom no longer cared if he’s alive or dead…he never cared anything about dying in losing a battle…seeing as he wouldn’t care if his life is on the line while racing even against me…for so many times. It’s like the chains of death are totally broke free from shackling his will. Seiji:…many times? You’re kidding right? Considering how much resemblance you bear with the Silverblood…anyone would be scared racing against you…and HE raced you for many times? Why hasn’t he been affected by the Dead Zone curse at all…? Actually…scratch that question aside… What’s more important is; just how many times has he battled you without dying?! *Kujira glanced at him with a relieved smile and turn back to the skies* Kujira: There used to be an old saying… “If machines learn to feel like humans; then who are to judge what is being human or alive?” Seiji: Huh…? What do you mean? Machines…? Feel like humans? What’s that supposed to mean? I don’t understand… Kujira: Remember when I say that there is some sort of “will” residing within the AE86? I wasn’t kidding on that part…the car really feels alive and all…like a human being…it could be the reason why the Ghost 86 remained unscathed; despite having lost to me for so many times…yet ironically; I cannot manage to outrun him…he’s the first person that I can never outrun…no matter how hard I drive… Seiji: That hardly make any sense at all…how is it possible for machines to feel like us? Cars are nothing more than machines…they run when we drive…they can never drive themselves when we’re not there…! Cars don’t really need emotional love or affections from humans now, do they? (But if that’s the case…then what is it that made Tsubasa’s driving so different? His level of persistence is so close to that of “him”…it’s kind of scary…now that I think of it…considering the car he’s driving once again…) Kujira: It never really were meant to be logical to begin with…sometimes there are just things that you cannot explain through technical explanations or mathematical figures alone. Someday…when you raced Tsubasa again; you’d most likely understand what I mean. Know this; Tsubasa’s persistence grew by every second once he saw an opponent worth facing…now that knowing he’s got his sights on you…someday he’s really going to catch up to you if you keep letting yourself too relaxed just because you managed to outrun an AE86… *Kujira opens the door of his BNR32 as he sat on in and started to drive slowly ahead, slowly passing Seiji* The Ghost 86…isn’t simply known just as Ghost…look deeper into him when you race him next time…and experience the feeling of interacting with a driver’s…”Spirit”. That’s all I got to say for now…thanks for the conversation. Later… *Kujira drove the R32 away slowly as it picked up the pace and faded away at the road, leaving Seiji pondering on what Kujira said.*

aaaaaaaaaand here's anothe poster featuring Hachioji & Seiji. This might be a potential poster merchandise, no? Good enough to fit 1 glossy short bond paper / 8 X 11 at least?
Can you send me the .psd file? I think I have a few improvements in mind or something.
I think I accidentally Seiji's Evo IX... From reaching 330 km/h, it went to 327. :| I test his car on Route X by the way. The main stretch has a part where it goes a little uphill then it goes downhill just like the real Wangan-sen. The back stretch is perfectly flat; the Evo stays at 322 km/h there. With the new setup, it just goes like 318-319.
I can't really tune this car to make it perfect, I have to make a little compromise to make it an all-rounder.
New setup gets 321 km/h... with 6th gear as an extra drafting gear. Might as well stick with that.
Here's the final setup, tweak according to the notes in the brackets if it isn't good enough:
For Wangan: (Set Top Speed, then each individual ratio.) 1st:-- 2.287 2nd:-- 1.442 3rd:-- 1.019 4th:-- 0.784 5th:-- 0.654 6th:-- 0.551 [set this gear a little lower if there's still no room for drafting, trial and error] Final: 4.200 Top Speed: 420 km/h (261 mph)
For technical courses: (Set Max Speed, then each individual ratio.) 1st:-- 3.224 2nd:-- 2.223 3rd:-- 1.695 4th:-- 1.354 5th:-- 1.131 6th:-- 1.001 Final: 3.000 Max Speed: 210 km/h (130 mph)
Drivetrain Differential AYC Strength: 80 [set higher if handling is numb, set lower if handling is too tight, trial and error]
Drivetrain Torque Distribution: 25/75
Suspension Suspension Ride Height: -25/-25 [higher front for better top speed, lower for better handling] [higher rear for better launch off the line, lower for better handling] Spring Rate: 10.0/5.0 Extension:-- 7/8 Compression: 5/6 Anti-Roll:-- 2/6 Camber:----- 2.3/2.0 Toe:-------- -0.20/0.00
Speed Testing Statistics: 0-400m: ----- 0:11.142 0-1000m: ---- 0:20.073 0-100 km/h: - 0:03.380 0-200 km/h: - 0:10.081 Max. vertical G force on launch: 1.10 G Top speed: 321.6 km/h "Downhill" top speed: 329 km/h
Additional notes > Launch at 7500 RPM near max revs > Use up to gear 5 for solo runs > Only use 6th gear for drafting > Everything except the transmission is a direct copy from my friend VTiRoj's Emperor IX tune. For full performance on touge/tight and technical tracks, use VTiRoj's gearbox settings instead of my Wangan gearbox. (EDIT: posted) > Tests were done on Sports softs. Can do better on race softs with some tweaks if necessary.
EDIT: some corrections.

Since I'd be celebrating Chinese New Year with my family oustide my area from tomorrow on...I'd give a short announcement on what I am working at now.
Currently Day 2 script progress: 55%
Next dialogue update: Ryugu, Rei, Mion and Oniko's conversation with Tsubasa regarding about what will happen to him if he choose to continue on the path of chasing Seiji and the Dead Zone, or rather...what will really be born within the machine or himself or BOTH at once...
WARNING: Complicated and deep dialogues are expected...so best be prepared for a LITTLE bit of thought-provoking parts.
Also working on Oniko and Kasumi's picture shot; half body, but the dresses are all shown close up.
Details of backgrounds: Oniko has black feathers while Kasumi has white; depicting their huge contrasts and opposites of personality and portrayal of a character.
Also; currently planning on Kujira's driving view picture. :3
and Gunma, do tell me how you like Kujira and Seiji's conversation.

Just came home from work and a well-played Wangan Day (during work break and after); Completed Hiei's Supra and got all the kings.
Came back after work to check if they're there... and they still are. Used my Akane Z34 To retake Osaka from "me". Heh Heh.

Tested the Seiji Evo IX tune on Spa Francorchamps...
All I can say is to brake early, coast along the corner and get on the throttle on corner exit. Don't even try trail braking because of its understeer. Also don't just mash the gas right away. It may be a understeering pig but once you get used to it then it would reward you. Don't be too soft on the steering too, try to turn early as possible.
Seiji's Evo can clock a 2:30 or below, 11 seconds faster than a Mercedes Mclaren SLR. Not very agile but is a little easy to drive.

Today's FIRST UPDATE~~
A huge wall-o-text...LOL
The long conversation between Oniko, Ryugu, Mion, Rei and Tsubasa in concerning the changes that might affect Tsubasa if he continues to race Kujira and Seiji yet Tsubasa seemed to have a clear idea of what he wants.
NOTE: Do read carefully on the part where Tsubasa described his long definition of what it means on interaction between himself, his car and his friends as well as his rivals.
SPOILER
*as screen begins to black out, a text appears slowly* Later at night…at Ryugu’s house* Ryugu: Ahh….!! Finally it’s done!! Rei: Hahaha….I am soo…..worn out… Mion: You two…! Quit being such infants…it’s only homework…what are you girls out of breath for…? These are merely textbook excercises for crying out loud… *rolls eyes* Ryugu: Who cares!! Point is we’ve finally managed to finish our homework! Thanks for today as well, Tsubasa!! We really owe you big time for this! Rei: Yeah! Tsu-chan, as expected you’re a genius!! Next time please teach us more too by being our private teacher everyd— *Mion whacks Rei’s head before she can finish her sentence* Mion: Quit it already…Tsubasa’s too busy to get any more business from us students…try to act a bit more independent instead of being a child. Rei: Buu….Mion is a big meanie… Mion: Anyway…thanks a lot for the homework assistance today, Tsubasa…never thought you’d came when all we do is give you a phonecall…for sure we thought you’d reject…since you might be busy with all the racing stuffs. Tsubasa: Don’t mention it, girls…since my 86’s still currently being “hospitalized”, I’d have no choice but to stay put from any racing activities except getting myself up-to-date on races at the forums gathering of our area. Ryugu: Still…it’s hard to believe…you’d get blown to bits like that so easily…this is the first time I heard of you losing THAT badly…since all these times your losses in total were all close calls or tight matches…let’s see…the driver that blew you away was that popular racer named Tsuchiya Seiji, right? The Wangan God…or something… Tsubasa: Yeah, didn’t see the guy in person…but I can tell he’s got pretty incredible driving skills…and using a powerful car like that Evo IX…with the power difference the outcome’s most likely obvious…but I still choose to chase him nonetheless; despite knowing I stand no chance at all after he made such a huge gap during our first race. Rei: But hey! At least you car’s still alright, isn’t it? The engine’s not blown or anything, except it suffered a bit of damage, it can still run like always after it’s fixed, right?! Tsubasa: Well…once the car’s fixed…all it need is a new and stronger body, to be able to withstand the pressure I gave to the car everytime I race with all my might…since the car’s badly warped…and Chiaki doesn’t have the body parts to fix the 86…so I’d have to look for somewhere else…but that is until she’s done fixing the internals of the car that is… Mion: Still…I am worried…is it alright like this, Tsubasa? Ryugu: Yeah…you sounded like you’re really devoted into racing Seiji…no matter what the cost is…will you be alright with that decision? *door bell ringing from the house* Ryugu: Don’t worry…I’d get it. *Ryugu walks to the speaker and pressed the button with her voice spoken towards outside the gate* Ryugu: Yes…who’s this? Oniko: It’s me…Oniko…can I come in? Ryugu: Oh!! It’s you! Sure! Come in, girl! We’ve a lot to talk here…and even Tsubasa’s here! We’ll have a full house chat now! Oniko: Haha….alright then…I am happy to know he’s here…Rei and Mion’s there too, right? Ryugu: Come on! I did say FULL HOUSE, no?! Come on in already! I’d fill you in with what we’re talkin’ so make yourself at home, eh! My parents aren’t here too; so it’ll be alright if we even have a sleepover! HAHA!! Oniko: Thanks…but I think I’d pass…*broke sweat with a slightly nervous smile* *Oniko joined the gang on the living room as Ryugu proceed to talk to her about everything they are chatting about* Tsubasa: Never thought you’d be able to join us tonight as well, Oniko… Oniko: Well…my home’s all but soulless except for my own…it’s so boring that I just need to go out and at least visit my friends to spend some time chatting. Anyway…to think Tsubasa lost so badly…it must be a hard experience for you, isn’t it? Tsubasa: Not exactly…I just felt a huge gust of wind blew me over…but I didn’t flinch a lot at least…except that I feel like I am racing someone just as strong as Kujira-san…the Dead Zone…and honestly…I am quite impressed that there are so many strong racers out there that can control powerful cars like that so well…it really made me realize that with skill levels that high while controlling a car as powerful as those 4WDs, many impossible things are easily achieved… Rei: Well…it can’t be helped…since even I; a low level mechanic-knowledge girl know just how hopeless it will be racing against those monster cars such as GT-Rs or Lancer Evolutions. Are you really alright with this, Tsu-chan? Tsubasa: Like I mentioned before…just how far can me and my machine go? That is the only question I need to know. I wanted to keep driving further and further…regardless of the fact that I may be fighting against a hopeless battle that I may never really have a chance to win. I don’t race to win after all…I just don’t want to give up driving…it’s what my instinct as a racer told me to. I knew better than anyone else just how hard it will be racing against these 2 drivers now…but I still want to see the meaning behind this desire of me wanting to go faster and faster for just the need of wanting to be one with the “wind”. My opponents are apparently more than just drivers and roads…it’s the feelings within me that I need to be fighting too at the same time. Mion: But if you keep going like this…you’re bound to change into another person…Tsubasa…one of the biggest concern regarding your personality is that you make decisions very quickly…sometimes WAY too fast for you own good…you just seemed to care less of what the negative consequences may affect to you and your own life if you keep racing so hard like this…pressing both your own body and your beloved car this far… Rei: I don’t want him to change!! *pouts* I really like Tsu-chan the way he is now…I mean…he’s always so calm and cool about everything and just took all the hard stuffs on himself without wanting to burden us all these times…even sometimes help us solve our own personal problems in our lives…I don’t want Tsu-chan to change…please don’t ever change…Tsu-chan. I really like you the way you are now…! Promise me that you won’t change? I wanted to support you in what you think is right, Tsu-chan…but please…at least promise me that you won’t forget us even if you were to really change…though I truly wished for otherwise…considering just how dangerous it is already just to race against the Dead Zone… Ryugu: Well…I think you girls should at least have more confidence in Tsubasa’s choice…right Tsubasa? I mean…you’ve raced the guy for so many times…it’s about time anyone will notice that you’re somewhat special to the Dead Zone…you didn’t die! In fact; you NEVER had any ACCIDENTS with his races at all! Isn’t that already saying something? Tsubasa: Well…I can’t guarantee that I wouldn’t change…considering how my perception towards speed and racing with a machine called car is already changing…thanks to these 2 individuals known as Kuroyama Kujira and Tsuchiya Seiji. But what’s changed within my perception for now is merely a sign, not really considered a change to be in literal terms of who I still am. For over 5 years I have craved for wanting more speed and to go faster than ever; despite using a beat up old 10 year model like the Trueno Sprinter GT Apex AE86, yet everytime I drive the car simply go faster than it’s limits when I wished strong enough for it to go faster with my body working on its full potential with what my mind is set on my desire. This also made me realize…that a machine could possibly act beyond its limits even if it’s set with a limiter if you wished for it strong enough…and that is what kept me chained and connected with the car I am using for this long without wanting to change a better car myself…because a part of my consciousness is calling me to remained on this one car…for I have interacted with this machine first hand…I’d be able to experience infinite outcomes from it through infinite humane desires and passions. Oniko: That’s a rather interesting philosophy as a racer; coming from you, Tsubasa…machines are man-made after all…if they have limits, they will act with the limiter. However, once a human consciousness is somewhat in contact with the tool itself, it will surely produce unexpected results…which is also another proof with your AE86 getting the nickname “Ghost 86” now…because it has… Ryugu: …A spirit…something that made the machine move far beyond its own limits…like a human with infinite potential. Mion: …Ghost 86…it sure has a deeper meaning than just bearing the name of a non-existent deathly being…if you know the truth behind the name itself. Rei: I don’t really believe in ghosts or deathly spirits…but after experiencing Tsubasa’s driving on his own car…I am slowly starting to understand too…what does the word “Ghost” really mean…it’s kinda a lot more haunting than those scary movies I used to watch when I was little. Hehe! Tsubasa: My point exactly. Just like how there are a huge number of organs and body parts that made a human as a human or a massive number of iron parts that made a machine as a machine; there will also be a huge amount of many things; material or non-material to form an individual with unique qualities that distinguish himself far from the rest. The same applies towards the machine of the person himself. A method of driving the machine with your way; and a way to interact with it that made it unique only to yourself and you alone can fully comprehend on how you treat your machine. In my case; I too have my own sense of destiny and probably a sense of duty to uphold for both myself and my Ghost (other self; AE86)…and understanding it was only a small part of what really forms me as who I am right now. It is my interaction between my machine and the individuals around me that really made me who I am now, such as befriending with you all and gained cherished memories; reuniting with Chiaki to refresh my childhood memories and to experience new changes she went throughout her life, befriending Kujira-san and racing him that has both made me feel special feelings as a rival towards him and also sparked the competitive side of me of not wanting to lose him completely from my sights; And finally…my interaction with Tsuchiya Seiji that has sparked the truth within my realization that a machine’s limitless power from the driver’s consciousness is simply not enough to outrun a machine and a driver that has good understanding of the car’s every limits and differential between his machine and mine, despite we don’t get to see each other face to face. All these interaction I had with my machine along; is what created infinite boundaries; waiting for me to break through one by one using my Ghost 86 and my own sheer will. It is also a mixture of what forms two beings in what we’ll probably call as “myself” and “my other self”. So changes are bound to happen; but rest assured…the unique memories I hold deep in my mind and heart are forever unique and will never change, for a human mind can always choose to whether change their view and opinion of a person or not, depending on what they think is being rational. My point is; don’t worry too much about who I am going to be. Simply embrace my change if I really do. But one thing remains unchanged in my experience of interaction between you girls and me with my machine…and that is having you all as my friends whom I cherish just as much as my own family. All girls: … *They’re all startled as to the deep-meaning talk that Tsubasa just spoke, speechless yet at the same time astonished and impressed* Oniko: I am surprised again…you really understand yourself a lot, as both a person and as a racer…Tsubasa. I must say I have underestimated your understanding of philosophy in a person’s interaction life. Ryugu: Well…my head is definitely not as well-decorated as Mion’s or Oniko’s…but I do get a lot of what Tsubasa just said…I guess it’s safe to say that you really have a clear idea of what it is that you want, Tsubasa. Tsubasa: My desire is very simple actually…to simply want to go faster and further than others while chasing those that I have yet be able to follow…breaking infinite boundaries and experiencing infinite changes as a person and as a driver…giving more meaning and value towards my life’s perception and my perception in understanding of my machine which has gained a perfect double consciousness of myself. And with Kujira-san and Seiji…I think I have a clear view of what I need to do first before going back to them once again…and that is to fix my AE86 and we can run together again. Rei: Well…I can’t say I fully understand your words just now, Tsu-chan…but we’ll all cheer for you as always if that battle ever happens! I have full confidence in what you do with your heart believing it as the right thing to do, Tsu-chan! Oniko: Well…I won’t be racing for sure…but I do wish I can someday drive with my free time to at least follow you from behind and watch you from afar on how you perform…considering you are more of a person in understanding of what you really wish to be…despite it being an endless process. Do have faith in your friends too, Tsubasa…sometimes it’s alright to just ask even a little bit of help from others, despite having a kindness of not wanting to burden others with your problems. Friends simply help each other after all. Tsubasa: Thanks, everyone…well then. I guess this calls for tonight’s homework and chat session…I need to go back to my shop and do some business-log checking for my sister’s business today on her cake products. I sure hope my car’s fixed tomorrow so I can go and find another garage to finish my tuning before returning to race once more. Ryugu: Do give a call to us when you’re ready, Tsubasa…cuz there’s no way in hell am I missing the big race between the Ghost 86, Dead Zone and the Wangan God himself all in the grand stage; Wangan. Well, take care!! Tsubasa: All right then…goodnight, everyone… Rei: Bye, best of luck, Tsu-chan!! Mion: Goodnight, Tsubasa…I-I’d cheer for you too. Oniko: Goodbye, Tsubasa…take good care of yourself… *Tsubasa took the jacket as he walked away from the house door and walked home slowly.*

Great goodness on a holy sandwich...
Tsubasa really is the complete opposite of Tomogashi...this really confirms me now...Tsubasa really seems to know a lot of himself...and is willing to embrace any types of changes that might affect on him after his interaction with others...and not having any doubts on top of that...
Now I am more interested in seeing when will his AE86 get fixed...all it need now is for Chiaki's message and then to Raymond's garage...and he'll be all set.
